Attempted to go there on a Sunday afternoon and they were closed. Even bought a Unilocal deal on the way so I was very disappointed when we arrived and they were not open. Also phone number states that has been disconnected. Hope that doesn’t mean the have shut down for good. If anyone can explain I would appreciate it, we live an hour away and only in area for kids soccer.

Used a Unilocal Groupon and we had a Caesar salad, large 4-cheese thin crust pizza, meat ball Stromboli and the Meatlovers pasta meal. Even without the Unilocal discount offer, all in all reasonably price, but with the offer– an exceptional deal. All were good and though we went with the traditional white flour, there was wheat, multigrain and gluten free options available. They advertise using local New England vendors– the mozzarella cheese was particularly good. The restaurant was moderately busy and the service was attentive. Outdoor seating also available, a great summer lunch or casual dinner.

I don’t remember having service as bad as this place. Went to have a pizza before a seeing a movie. Waitress took the order 10 minutes after we were seated, and 45 minutes passed without seeing her or the pizza. We ended up taking it to go. And the fact that the waitress didn’t even come near the table during that 45 minute wait will keep me from ever going back again. The pizza was«ok». I can get better service at Papa Gino’s.

Excellent stromboli! Went to wahlburgers, waited 40 minutes, left and feasted at Stone Hearth. Cool atmosphere, nice staff and delicious ingredients.

The food here is really good! Can’t go wrong with a pizza or stromboli, its all made fresh and is all very delicious. The service can be hit or miss though. Went the first time and it was awful, the server kept us waiting for I don’t know how long and forgot one thing I ordered. Other times I have gone, however, it has been great and had no complaints. Overall it’s always been a good experience.

Food is very good. Service is always good, very family-like. I would give them 5 stars, but they do not offer Gift Cards. They will email a certificate, but if you’re looking for an actual card to give as a gift, you’re out of luck.

I go here a lot with my 3 yo and 5 yo after a movie as the theater is 50 feet away. My kids like sitting at the bar and my boy likes watching soccer while we eat. The staff is very friendly and accommodating and the food is good too.

Great casual restaurant at the Hingham shipyard! Got a salad and a panini… Food was amazing! Highly recommend you try the locally-made hard cider on tap(down east cider)! Yum!

The food here is amazing. I love the organic, locally-sourced concept — and bonus points for the upscale décor! But the«service» leaves a bad taste. We started out with meatballs in a spicy marinara sauce, which were fantastic. We each ordered a create-your-own pizza — my husband had a white crust with mozzarella, sausage & pepperoni; I had a multigrain crust with goat cheese, artichoke hearts, peppers, spinach, chicken, & olives. Well, there were supposed to be olives, but they weren’t actually on the pizza. Everything was scrumptious. Now for the service. Granted the place was busy, but we had to wait over 25 minutes to get the attention of anyone working there to ask for another wine & beer and a glass of water. While we were waiting, the hostess was just standing there, and multiple waitstaff walked by avoiding eye contact. It seemed like they really did not want to be there. And they certainly weren’t interested in helping out their fellow coworkers. When I was finally able to order another glass of wine, they were out of quite a few kinds of wine. It’s Saturday night, people! Keep your wine stocked! We waited an additional 10 minutes for our drinks to arrive. At this point, our food was no longer hot. At the end of our visit, our waiter did apologize for the slow service, which was nice, but after reading other reviews on Unilocal,it seems like this has been a trend for quite some time — and an issue that management does not seem to want to remedy. We plan to return, but with trepidation because of the lack of service.

I will never order anything from here again. My husband and I ordered two 12 inch pizzas(which came to 45 dollars.) My husband is lactose intolerant and he ordered pizza with only goat cheese on it(the only cheese he can eat). When we got home, we opened up the box to find that it was a regular cheese pizza with some goat cheese on top. We clearly stated«goat cheese only.» He couldn’t eat it due to the other cheese on top. I eat gluten free and dairy free and was appalled at the looks of my pizza. I ordered gluten free crust, with olive oil, prosciutto, olives, onions and arugula. What I got was a burnt piece of bread with barely any toppings. For paying 23 dollars for that pizza, I would expect a decent amount of toppings. Needless to say, the experience was horrible and I will never be coming back here again. Over priced and clearly whoever look our order was unable to do so correctly.

Just order from here… The food is great, but the service sucks. I ordered a wrap with«chips», I was so hungry that I didn’t know that the chips weren’t there. When I asked, they said they were«all out». They ran out of guiness, too. The people were nice but slow. The bartender doubled as the chef. The waitress was nice, though.

Like some of the other reviewers on here, I really don’t get the low ratings on this restaurant. I order out here at least once per week, and my food is always fresh and tasty, and my order is ready within 15 minutes from when I place it. The staff is also very friendly, as in Starbucks, earthy-crunchy type friendly. Stone Hearth Pizza makes their food from natural, locally sourced ingredients. What I really like about this place is that their menu offerings are unique. Just look at the pictures that people have put up. Here, you can get pizza with fresh, raw vegetables on top, like a salad. You won’t get greasy, oily pizza here because that’s not what they serve. Maybe that’s why a lot of people have posted negative reviews. They expect to get barroom or sub shop style pizza, and that’s not what it is. So then they get disappointed and post a negative review. I almost always get their baked pasta, which has just the right amount of sauce, and the flavor isn’t overpowering. They bake it fresh in the oven, right in the pie tin that they serve it in(if you’re getting it to go). One thing I will say, though, is that if you order a pasta, request it without salt added at the end. I don’t know why they sprinkle salt on the pasta dish after it comes out of the oven, but they do. So, no problem. I just order it without the added salt, and it tastes delicious. So, if you’re looking for a greasy pizza or some steak and cheese sub, you’ll have to go elsewhere. But if fresh, local, healthier food is what you’re after, I really can’t think of many dining establishments on the South Shore that offer this style of healthy food.

Went today for the first time. Unfortunately it will be my last. Loved the concept of organic local food incorporated in the restaurant business but I could’ve used the same ingredients and been far more successful with my cooking. I got the Caesar(it was good but those are hard to screw up) the meatball trio(where we’re the seasonings? And flavor?) and a margherita pizza was pretty much all sauce and once again lacking seasoning. What was worse than the food was the service. Started with being greeted by space cadet. Asked if we could sit outside and was told that she’d see what was available. Saw her walk outside, take orders from several tables, and finally came back to give us a deer in headlights look as if wondering why we were still standing there. We then we’re seated outside. It took well over 40 minutes for our food to come out. I mean how long does it really take to make a pizza. And why another table can get a baked pasta dish before us when we ordered first is beyond me. We weren’t given silverware. They never came back with the cheese they offered to us. And we had to request a refill on drinks TWICE. Shouldve waited for wahlburgers.

man this place is awesome I love how it is all fresh and organic ingredients. You can also get gluten free pizza. My kids loved it too. My middle one wanted seconds. also this is the most my little dude has ate while going out to eat so that is a good thing too.

Ok, maybe it’s guilt but I’m updating my review by 2 stars because I got a very nice(and apologetic) email from the manager. I realize Unilocal can be powerful and I don’t want to be responsible for hurting a business. I hope they can improve on some if the concerns people have brought up and I’m glad they read their reviews. I’d like to see them improve. I love a success story.

Food was very mediocre. Service isn’t great either. I came here for a late lunch with my sister, but wasn’t too hungry. I ordered a half size of the chopped salad — chopped greens with cherry tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, smoked bacon and cucumbers, finished with fresh cut scallions and fresh basil. I got the buttermilk blue cheese dressing, as recommended by the waitress. My sister got summer salad and the gluten free roasted garden pizza. Both salads were not that great. The pizza was soggy to the point where my sister couldn’t even finish the pizza. Service — I had to ask them for my drink again since they forgot about it. After one of the salads came to our table, I had to ask them where my salad was, and they just seemed to forget about it. Didn’t get good vibes from anyone working there. Convenient location, but probably won’t be back.

I’m semi surprised by the negative reviews. My coworker and I came in for lunch on a Friday after Wahlburger’s had an out of control wait. We sat at the bar. Service was very nice, but VERY slow. It appeared that there was only one waiter working and several tables. I got the Farm Fresh pizza. It was kind of bland, but I think if it had had red sauce on it, it would have been great. Everything tasted very fresh. My coworker ordered a «Regular» pizza and I ordered a «Junior» and they looked to be essentially the same size, so not sure what’s up with that. I probably wouldn’t go out of my way to come back, but I thought this was a solid experience.

We didn’t intend to come here, but am glad we did, it opens up another option when visiting the Hingham Shipyard area, and it’s much less crowded than some of the other restaurants! The staff was friendly and patient as we hemmed and hawed over the menu. Sitting at the bar looking right at the pizza bench was a nice feature, and one that always gives me a good feeling – how much damage can the cook do when you’re looking right at him?! We ordered The Divine Goddess and were well pleased. The toppings were fresh, the dough thin and crisp, and arrived at our place hot and ready to eat. Don’t believe everything you read on Unilocal boys and girls. I’m not going to say that Stone Hearth is some magical pizza place which will change your mind about pizza forever, but my experience was solid and not at all what I was fearful of when I came in.

I live across the street from here so despite the horrible Unilocal reviews i decided to try it for myself! Their food is absolutely horrible. Specially the pizza, it was the worse pizza I have ever tried and I have tried microwaved! To paint you a complete picture as a foody who never goes to any fast foods. I recommend taco bell over this nasty place!!! DOTHEYEVENHAVE A CHEFATTHISRESTAURANT!!?

This is one of those places where we tried it despite poor to mediocre Unilocal reviews. Mistake noted. Service was slow, food we had was gluten-free pizza. Arrived with a semi-burnt crust. Tasteless sauce. This place probably survives, if it does, by being in the shadows of Wahlbergers. Lines are so long at W., that hungry diners surrender. Don’t do it. Lots of better places in Hingham.
