We had a grilled pimento cheese with soup. The grilled cheese was ok but most of the cheese slid out of the side of the sandwich. The soup was cold so I only had two bites. We also got the portabella mushroom pasta which was very very bland. The chicken pot pie was great though. Overall, it was ok but overpriced for the quality of food.

I am absolutely appalled at the service I got at this restaurant. I am intolerant and no one seemed to know the menu. When I asked for a gluten-free menu there was not one provided for me nor get a manager come out and speak to me… The first time the chef came out and gave me a lesson on Wikipedia about what gluten free food was. The second time he came back 15 minutes later laughing and saying my meal was not gluten-free. I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone that is strong with gluten-free or gluten intolerant… I cannot express how angry I am. After explaining to the manager that I was very angry, he came over and helped us pick the best gluten-free options. It was just very frustrating that it took so many people to get to the point of having a gluten-free menu. We had already called twice and still the servers were unable to help us. After the manager came over our food was very good and cooked well. From the food stamp point I would recommend this place 100% if you are not gluten-free. The only frustrating part is getting to the gluten-free options. My dessert was amazing and the service afterwords was as well. My entire meal was called which I am more than grateful for. I just would like to know that my meal is going to be gluten-free paid for or not. Money is not the issue here, the ingredients of the meal are. I am pleased with the overall service following the manager, but would like to let them know that better education for their staff, or waitresses, chefs would be much better.

We decided to try this place for lunch and it turned out to be a great idea! The menu has soooo many options that it is hard to not find something. The Tuna Wonton appetizer was incredible! My wife and I both had sandwiches that we thoroughly enjoyed. We didn’t have room for dessert but I had my eye on the blondie. Well, maybe next time!

I’ve been coming to the Island for years, mostly during the Heritage and we usually eat and drink at least two times at Truffles. The Chicken Pot Pie and Coconut Shrimp are great comfort foods and there are several great salads as well. The ribs are good but pricey. IMHO order the Meatloaf without the BBQ glaze, you’ll appreciate it later. FO soup is good too. Overall the place is great but at times the wait staff and bartendresses are inexperienced and quality of service and drinks can vary, so don’t hesitate to send it back if it doesn’t suit you. There are too many great restaurants out there to give this one a five but don’t let it keep you from eating there, you won’t regret it.

Stopped in for dessert last week. My family has been eating at Truffles for many years. After several consecutive disappointing meals, we haven’t returned for over a year. I was craving their blondie so decided to give it another try. Historically this blondie was one excellent dessert. Warm, moist blondie with melting vanilla ice cream, chocolate and caramel sauce. Fantastic. Unfortunately the last several blondies have not lived up to expectations and this was no exception. After hinting to the waitress(it’s served warm, correct?) the blondie arrived as it has the last several times barely luke warm and rather dry despite the large scoop of vanilla on top. Sad.

Came here for lunch. Our waitress Anastasia was the best. Having been in the restaurant business, I could tell she was on top of everything. Maybe someone in the kitchen forgot to bake the bread, because she kept checking and it took over 20 minutes for everyone to get theirs not her fault. But it was delicious! Ordered the chicken pot pie and bean cake, both were very flavorful and satisfying.

We had a delightful experience here for dinner… the coconut shrimp and french onion soup were outstanding, as were the ribs my husband and brother in law ordered. Service was great, atmosphere subdued and conversation friendly, overall a wonderful restaurant and very enjoyable evening.

I’ve only been here once, but was pleasantly surprised. Calorie-splurged on the quiche for lunch … it was divine! Replaced the fries with steamed broccoli for a little balance. All was delicious. People with me enjoyed their meals, too: tuna wrap, curry chicken salad especially.

I have been to Truffles at least three times per vacation for the past 10+ years. The reason is my grandmother, who has a house in Sea Pines, basically goes no place else. Its her favorite. I like the ambiance of the place because its classy but also casual-ish. I have never had a bad meal there. The coconut shrimp is amazing. I have also had their crab cakes, filet mignon, pasta alfredo, chipotle chicken, and spinach artichoke dip. Their filet mignon is to die for. Highly recommend!

After dining here several times in the past five years, I was surprised at how good it was. Our server was inexperienced but nice. The food was delicious and well prepared. The only tiny complaint I have is a petty decision the management made. We ordered a bottle of Sauvignon blanc and they were out of the brand we requested. We asked if they would offer us the next highest priced bottle of Sauvignon blanc as a concession and they said no. It was only $ 7 more. Seriously, come on. After dining at numerous fine dining establishments around the country, I found this petty and poor in the customer service department. It left a bad taste. But, we enjoyed our dinner and would come back.

Food was 4.5 stars. Family members had the crab cake, portobello, rack of ribs, and pasta — all worthy of 4 stars. The fifth star is because of the service(Thank you Fernanda for your sincere pleasantries). The service was excellent — great team effort. Overall atmosphere was nice as well — place has a little boutique that the girls enjoyed(especially the PacMan game).

Our family throughly enjoyed our experience. First and foremost, Kate our server was extremely knowledgable and offered great drink and meal advice. I highly recommend asking to be served by her. My wife had the flank steak which was seasoned wonderfully, my daughter had the Cajun talipa that was perfection and my son and I each has the steak and fries that was also excellent. We ended the meal with homemade desserts, key lime pie and Oreo pie, both were out of this world. Thank you Truffles Café and especially Kate!

After calling several times before someone picked up, I placed a to go order(the chicken salad and shrimp salad) that would be ready in 35 minutes. Arriving promptly, I was told it’d be another 30 minutes because they were«slammed.» They had two 4 tops and a 10 top… The food was pretty decent until I woke up in the middle of the night sick, throwing up non-other than the shrimp salad all night. Working in the food industry before, I understand things can happen & can forgive service and give a restaurant another shot. But making people sick off your food is inexcusable!!!

This is one of our annual stops. The food and service are consistently excellent. The French onion and tomato basil soups are a must. The ribs and burger are a great choice. They used to have a club with avocado that was out of this world but they no longer offer it on the menu. When we enquired they said they were not selling through the avocados fast enough so they took the whole thing off the menu.

As a family of three, Truffles was the perfect pick for our hump day meal. I had the ribs, which were perfectly prepared. My wife had the shrimp and linguine, great! And our son had the chicken fingers and fries. The ambience was upbeat with great music in the background, and the service was cordial from entrance to exit. Thanks for a wonderful meal, and we’ll see you tomorrow evening:)

Not really impressed with the food options or the service. Food was fine but nothing to die for or must try’s. Our table salads that were fine, ribs that my brother enjoyed, and pasta that was the table favorite. Waiter was awkward and spoke barely above an audible whisper which was also a turn off. The ambiance was nice but had better dinners on the island.

Food and service was very good. I would suggest that the hostess knock the baseball hats off anyone wearing a baseball cap as they enter. White table cloth and baseball hat? Come on.

The original Truffles has still got it! After all these years, the food and atmosphere are still delightful. If I can only have one meal on the island, this is where I come every time. The menu is an interesting blend of barbecue, seafood, French, and continental cuisine. On my most recent visit, I tried the meatloaf with mango barbecue sauce. It was delicious like so many of their dishes. My only folly at Truffles is not filling up on the French bread with the best Boursin I’ve ever had. The ambiance is quiet and pleasant regardless of a midday meal or late night dinner. Be sure not to miss it. If you haven’t been, you have to go into the Sea Pines Center and walk straight back until you find the alligator statue by the fountain. Then you’re there.

Our first night in Sea Pines we opted to go here because our condo was right down the street, the condo owner highly recommended it, and we called ahead and they said a 5:30 reservation would be perfect for our 1 year old. When we got there our table was already set up with a high chair and coloring book. I was a little nervous at first because it looked pretty fancy for a 1 year old, and I didn’t want to be that family with the baby annoying the other patrons who came out for a nice dinner, BUT, several other people had young children, so we went with it(also, 5:30 is pretty early for dinner out in a vacation spot). The menu isn’t huge, but I knew going into it I was getting the chicken pot pie(recommended by the owner of the condo), so I barely looked at the menu. I ordered a glass of Rose, and ordered our daughter the kids grilled cheese with green beans. Our waiter brought us our drinks, and bread with really yummy butter very quickly, and Nola’s kids meal came out fast as well. She LOVED the green beans — fresh with very little seasoning on them — she ate them whole with her fingers :) Jeff got the crab cakes with mashed potatoes, and I got the chicken pot pie with a salad. The chicken pot pie comes with a puff pastry on top, not a crust, just FYI. Besides it not being traditional with a crust, this was the best pot pie I have had from a restaurant. So creamy, so many veggies and tons of chicken. I ate the entire bowl, and it was a large bowl. My salad was not an afterthought either… it was fresh and bright and the perfect complement to the heavy dish. Jeff liked his crab cakes(we have lived in MD, so he is very picky) and thought the portion was just perfect. I enjoyed 2 glasses of the Rose, and he had a martini and a glass of Chardonnay, both which were great. Our waiter was attentive but let us be, and he didn’t complain once at Nola’s insistence on eating half of the green beans and throwing the rest on the floor(of which I cleaned up of course). Once we were leaving, the place was getting packed, so I would recommend reservations if you are planning on dining after 5:30. It is a great place to enjoy a higher end meal, but you can still bring your kids early if you have them :)
