Hot, fresh and tasty! Service was prompt. We’ve been stopping here every year and it’s still good!

Our party did not try the quiche or frittata, but they looked good from what I saw. However, I tried Rachel Ray’s favorite the blackberry deep dish French toast. Bland, and underwhelming. Not worth $ 11. Don’t want to give this place a horrible review though… The atmosphere is nice and a cute, quaint bakery. Did grab a piece of Nutella pie on the way out and that was very good.

This is a great find. It is the only bakery on the island that makes everything from scratch. It is also one of the few restaurants(of HHI’s 250) serving southern-style food. The Chocolate Pecan Pie is outstanding!

just had breakfast based on Unilocal and tripadvisor. wonderful. homecooking, low key but clean and very friendly owner and staff. great art on walls(not for sale!) including some by James Denmark, local artist. i had the southern version of polenta(corn, red peppers) and had them put a poached egg on top. terrific.

I went and tried this today for breakfast. I heard the shrimp and grits were good. That was an understatement! The sausage and shrimp in this bowl of creamy goodness was sensational. The place is a hold in the wall and off the beaten path, the food was very good. If you are turned off by plastic utensils and paper goods, this isn’t the place for you. If you like good food that is fairly priced, drop by and try it. To me, ambience doesn’t make my food taste better. It just makes it more expensive.

The service was bad, food was okay. Was told they were out of my dish as they were bringing out the food for the rest of the table-so I had to wait while everybody else ate. We won’t be back.

We have gone for breakfast or lunch each year for the last 15 years. Great food. Bring home something from the counter.

I had breakfast here and will NEVER go there again. Can you believe it… you must eat will a plastic fork! The food was barely OK. The waitress… well when the food arrived she also gave us a «card» that has a number on it. You can’t see your bill… you must take the card to the register then«pay» still without seeing the bill! How lame… and lazy! Oh… we never were checked on by our waitress once we had our food. Out of sight and out of mind. To top it all off I felt the food was WAYOVERPRICED for what you were served!

Came in 30 minutes before they closed and after being told they would be with me when they got a chance by two different staff members(I was the only one standing at the case to get a super salad to go) another couple walked in and was waited on before me. The staff saw the look of disgust on my face, since I was standing there waiting 15 minutes before them… Cause only then I was finally waited on. The food is worth the lack of service. I don’t have high expectations, after all it is a bakery.

Innovative décor and food. I had Rachel Ray’s favorite French toast with blackberries in it. Tasty, but pastries were a little dry. Servers were very accommodating, especially with my 90 year old parents.

Great for bakery treats or breakfast. We always seem to take treats with us after eating a great breakfast.

Raves: The food is fresh! My vegetarian plate was an amazing salad trough leaving me nothing to be desired. They use fresh unadulterated produce. High five on this aspect. Eh: Service was just okay. Coffee mugs were left empty for 15 minutes before we asked for refills. One of the servers continued to clean tables for awhile before refilling drinks. We never got our check so we got up and asked for one at the counter. Nah: Definitely sit outside if it is a nice day, because the inside décor is indeed atrocious. The bathrooms are also filthy(worst I have seen in at least a decade).

Great french toast. Drinks were strange. Bottles of oj, cans of soda. Décor tried to make you feel like you’re outside but it was strange.

Another swede recommended this place. It’s wonderful. Great quiches, chicken gumbo is amazing and I’ll definitely snag a cowboy cookie, some Key Lime Bread pudding or one of their great looking pecan pies! Oh my! I’ll be back very soon!

We went In December and we got seated right away. We ordered French toast — fair; Turkey trot pie– good; quiche of the day– good; frittata– good and she crab soup– meh. They forgot my frittata and they gave us the order that belongs to another table. I was hungry so while waiting for my food, I tried everybody’s food. By the time my frittata came I was full and I just took most of it home. We also got chocolate angel wing pastry– not good according to my son. Our server was very nice. Maybe they are having an off day?

For lunch, try the Reuben. All desserts, cakes, pies are very good. Small place, but very rustic and cute.

I’ve been coming here since I was a baby. They have made multiple cakes and cupcakes for my birthdays too! Great brunch food. Only reason why it’s 4⁄5 stars is because of the early closing time! I can barely make it after school to run in and grab a treat.

I’m surprised that I’ve never reviewed this place. We go for breakfast on Sunday after arrival every year. And we went back two more times this year. Husband loves the french toast. He also tried the salmon and provelone frittata this year. I love the polenta and waffles. The service is always great. The food is always great. Even got to try the cookies and scones this year. The only negative was the evidently the timeshare sales breakfasts now happen at Signes on a regular basis. That’s really off-putting. I know business is business though.
