Just just finished having our pizzas that were delivered. I can’t say how disappointed I am with this pizza. I ordered 3 pizzas, a veggie, a meat and a white. I am not exaggerating when I say frozen pizzas from the grocery store would have been much better. I wish LA Familigi was still around.

Visiting from Columbus, I HAD to check this place out being a die-hard Buckeye fan. Tons of OSU memorabilia on the walls. My wife had a club panini and I had the Italian sub. Both were very good, nothing extraordinary, but delicious. We also had the fried ravioli appetizer which was also very tasty. I can only imagine this would be a fun place to eat at during an OSU football game. Good food, cool atmosphere. A definite must for all Ohio State fans visiting Hilton Head. Go Bucks!

Good selection of food; we tried the pizzas and calzones. Both were very good. Really friendly, attentive service. A lot of neat OSU memorabilia. A Buckeye fan couldn’t ask for more! Many TVs for watching games.

TERRIBLE. delivery was 45 minutes late. After we called asking when we could expect it, there was no apology or discount offered. PIzza was cold and had very little cheese even though we paid for extra.

Excellent spicy dry rubbed chicken wings, the best I ever had! Pizza was ok, nothing exciting! Would go back for the wings, never tasted wings so crispy and flavorful!

Great Ohio State bat. We ordered spaghetti and it lacking flavor and the noodles had an inch of water on them. I would not recommend this place for food!

i read reviews that said it was for Ohio State fans. And the décor was for them as well. The only thing I noticed was the little gift shop when you walked in with Ohio State merchandise. The restaurant was nice. We ordered half Greek, half vegetarian. didn’t notice mushrooms or spinach. but it was tasty. But the extra star was for Thomas, he was pleasant and made sure we were okay. Let us hang there longer than we should. really appreciated that. my only complaint was that he should’ve forced us to have dessert.

Very disappointed with this overpriced, burnt, no flavor pizza. Irritated that when delivered to a hotel, no plates were given. French fries were soggy, unsalted and served without offerings of ketchup. When I come back to Hilton head next year I will not call this place again. Ever.

This place has gone done hill in a BIG way. The pizza is overpriced, the salad portion keeps shrinking and tonight I called in a pizza for pickup. I got there and there was no pizza. No record of the order. «Would you like to wait while we make your pizza?» I was asked, No, and I am not ordering from here again.

Do yourself a favor if you like italian food do not i repeat do not eat here. Brain dead employees. Food is horrible. First time i got a pizza and it wasnt sliced i thought it was a fluke. but then when i got the second i knew they were a bunch of dumbasses. When i called to tell them the guy got wise with me and hung up.

WORSTPIZZAEVER! I don’t want to come off as a food snob, and I’ll usually give a restaurant 2 or maybe 3 chances, just incase the kitchen is having an off night. In the case of Mangiamos… twice was 2 times too many. If the people of Hilton Head think this good pizza, then I must laugh, but by the looks of the dining room on a Friday night, maybe the locals are getting it. If you’re an Ohio State fan, then you’ll be in heaven, but if you go in looking for good food, Take warning! You’re not going to find it here. I’ll start from the beginning, our waiter comes to the table to ask if we’d like something to drink… ok, then he announces his self as Double Douce or Double D. Either way WHAAAT? He brings the 2 sodas and asks if we are ready to order. I ask him about onion rings on the menu, are they fresh? No answer, but against my better judgment I order them and the garlic knots or pillows or whatever they call them. When they arrive, the first thing I notice is that the rings are frozen onion rings, just fried to cook them. The garlic things taste like they used canned bisquits dough then tossed them in a garlic and herb mixture. When we bit into the rings we burned our tongues oh the oil that squirted out. I guess the one good thing I can say is… at least the oil was hot. They were flavorless and greasy. The pillow or knot things were also greasy. They left a pool of oil on the plate. For entrees we ordered a kids slice of pizza, $ 1.75 on the menu, it says cheese, but we asked for pepperoni, when I got the bill I was charged $ 3.00 for the slice, plus .35 for the pepperoni. My oldest son wanted a cheese strombolli, and I ordered the calzone, with the works.(Meager amounts of pepperoni, sausage, onions, and bell peppers) it was wrapped in what seemed like a Bomboli store bought crust. It was by far the worst example of a calzone I’ve ever eaten. The plate was covered in water that was dripping from the calzone(I took a picture) the thing was over $ 9.00 bucks, and not worth 5. My son’s slice had about 6 pieces of pepperoni on it and had a scant trace of fake mozzarella cheese. The pizza tasted of chef Boy-r-dee sauce and crust you’d buy and make yourself. ITWASCRAPANDCOLD! My oldest son didn’t eat half of his strombolli so I brought it home, and quickly threw it in the trash. My bill with tax and tip was $ 50 and change. I’ll spend that anytime we go out, so it was not about the money. This review is purely about the food. I’ll go to any other pizza joint in the area next time we go out, and I’ll never return to this joke of a pizzeria. If this is considered good Italian food by the people of this area and those from Ohio, all I can say is that’s the reason Ohio and the greater Hilton Head area are not food meccas. I know I’ll get at least one nasty comment from a friend who likes this place, but I’ll deal with that later. I’m a trained Chef whose run his share of french and Italian style eateries, so I know I’m more than qualified to review this place, and I’ll stand by my comments. I also lived in Ct. And worked in NYC. Both places known nationwide as being famous for their pizzas. So again I know what I’m talking about. In my opinion, and if someone is reading Unilocal for a review, and is looking to spend the same amount of cash, but wants terrific pizza… I’d tell the to go to fat babies pizza on the south end of the island. If Paulie ’ s pizza was still around, I’d instantly and emphatically tell them to go there. Stay away from this place is my advice. You can get a better pizza at Pizza Hut. Maybe, just maybe the waiter said the food tasted of a double deuce and that his name was something else. I wish I could go on as to how bad this places food was, but then I’m sure there would be those that’ll think I had some kind of vendetta against this place. I gave this place 2 chances as I ssid before, and in both instances they failed big time.

Full disclosure: I love this place, mainly because of its over the top Buckeye affiliation. Secondarily, good pizza, cheese bread, and beer.

The décor is excellent, especially if you’re a Buckeye Fan. The food was well priced and convenient. The menu has a range of choices. The pizza is in between thin and thick crust, and topping taste fresh. They had bottle craft beers and your standard fare beers.

Group of 4. 2 adults 2 picky eater kids. EVERYONE was delightfully satisfied. I had a Stromboli with pepperoni/sausage/jalapeños, it was excellent! 1 picky eater had the kids pasta with meatball(yes 1 meatball, not too big either) she devoured it! Next adult and other picky eater shared a 12″ pie half chicken and half chicken and green peppers. There was none left so I’m guessing it was great. Not the best Arnold Palmers in town but they sufficed. Waitress was attentive and sweet. Atmosphere was great, less than a 20 minute wait during a rainy, stormy, Wednesday night. Overall very satisfied with our meal!

Yes, this place is loaded with Ohio State EVERYTHING. The owner is a fan. We were looking for another italian place for dinner, but mysteriously rolled into the parking lot of this one while getting lost trying to find the other. Service was OK, not spectacular. I had an everything calzone, and that was also just OK. It filled my stomach, but it was not a place to rave about or recommend.
