Stephanie our server would get five stars… But as it were this was the oddest experience that even Stephanie as nice as she was couldn’t save
There wee three of us, my daughter her boyfriend and myself. We all ordered burgers of some kind, all medium. The food runner that brought our plates scolded my daughters boyfriend for trying to assist her by taking his plate. She said «no, I’ll do it, we are classy here». Wtf??? Weird and inappropriate to scold a customer.
When the burgers arrived none were medium but mine was so rare it literally was cold rare meat inside. The kids ate theirs but there was no way I could eat raw meat. I set my plate to the side and a man I later found out was the district manager came by… It gets more strange now.
I told him my burger was raw and I ordered it medium. He said so you want no color. No I said I want it medium. Your chef should know what medium looks like. He repeated the no color comment and I repeated no. It was odd. Not only that he got so close to me it made me feel excessively put off
My burger comes back and the manager says «I didn’t mean to arm wrestle you I just wanted to get the burger done right we always cook them under because we can make them cooked more. (This was the most nonsense thing I heard all night… If they cook it raw they don’t recook your same burger they toss it and cook a new one.). I said, it’s fine, and at that point I was so uncomfortable I just wanted him to leave us alone. But? He kept coming back.
Incidentally the burger still was really under medium but I ate it because I didn’t want to deal with it anymore. I took my other half home and with my non professional cook skills I managed to make it cooked medium and I ate it on my couch with no creepy manager and we need to be classy good runner.
So fucking weird I will probably drive to Washington square from now on

I’ve been to the location in Tigard as well. The setup slightly different, but it’s the same experience for the most part. The beer selection is good for a chain restaurant. I know it has to be in this market. Being Californian, knowing they’ve got Sculpin on tap is a great thing. Breakside and 10 Barrel have a few options on tap worth a try. The happy hour isn’t bad; 4 $ Ninkasi IPA’s and a host of food options. I’ve gone with the pizza and sliders. I wasn’t overly impressed with those choices. I prefer this location for some reason. Maybe it’s the setup, but it seems slightly better. The vibe is good. I’ll continue to come back.

Good food, classy pace, hot waitress. and decent happy hour food menu, nice tv screens, clean restrooms bit too many ugly people

I was here with my husband for an early dinner around 4:00 p.m. on a Saturday. The restaurant was about half full and we were seated right away.
The server was awesome and very attentive to allergy problems. I got the BBQ burger and my husband got some other kind of spicy burger. They were huge!!! It was good but I asked for well done and it was clearly medium. I ate it anyway because I always fear sending back food. The fries were nothing special.
We also had the bacon wrapped dates for an appetizer — I wouldn’t get them again for the price. But, the bacon was good.
Service was slow… we were there almost two hours. That is a long time for what we ordered. I’d go back though.

I am visiting from the southwest and this place rocks. The waitresses are knowledgeable about the beers and the food. I’ve noticed that the crowd is older (40+… my age) and the music is appropriate. There’s s central area bar with all the important games were on, but the screens can be viewed from pretty much anywhere in the restaurant. It’s the only place I returned to twice during my visit.
I’d like to tell you that it was reasonably priced. In fact, it probably is, but after 6 or so of their wonderful brews, I don’t really remember. Yeah, both visits.

From the moment we were met at the door to meeting our server, we had great super fast service. It was a busy Saturday afternoon during happy hour and they were spot on with drink refills. Cheesburger was amazing and filling. Apps were just as tasty.

This location has a systemic issue with their sanitizing/​dish washing practices. We used to eat here at least twice /​mo. However the past two times we’ve visited either the silverware or glasses were dirty. During our visit today, our server noticed the wine glass wasn’t clean. When I told her my beer glass smelled foul, too, her bartender tried to suggest that I just didn’t like the beer. Too bad they can’t seem to fix this issue. The service is always great, and we love the menu choices. We won’t be back for a while, though, because I’m tired of drinking my beer out of dirty glasses.

Exceptional service even when they are new they have exceptional service. Food was good, drinks were great!!! Despite having a full Resturaunt it was timely and our waiter was entertaining, made for a VERY good night! Plenty of screens, and good atmosphere, not too loud.

I really enjoy this TL location. I used to think the one over by the WA Sq mall was pretty pretentious. I never frequented much.
I really like what they have done with the Tanasborne location and I hope they keep it up. I hear they have some live music there now, so will be checking that place out. I’m really loving this place and I love the vibe. It’s not a dump but not overly done either. They are always adding something new to the menu. you have to have those tempura green beans and oh yes, the Brussel sprouts too. Yum. Staff here has some real class and are always willing to help you with whatever you need. Have never been disappointed here.

Love thirsty lion. Nice people, good atmosphere. The specials are seasonal and very good. Spicy mac and cheese is hot and delicious. Tavern Burger is huge and tasty. Those are my favorites except when lamb shank is in season.

This place is okay. I say okay because the happy hour is awesome. The beers are great (except the Nitro, which is nasty; but that’s my person palette). The only thing that’s wrong is the service. The staff are slow. You’ll normally wait 5 – 10 minutes before someone even acknowledges you’ve sat at a table. (And I’ll just say that I think it’s horrible the management makes the waitresses wear what they do. When I’m eating I don’t wanna see half naked woman walkin around. The lack of dress makes a potentially classy restaurant into a highly decorated Hooters. Poor taste by the management.) once your order is placed it takes a long long long time. Especially if they are busy. If you want service that’s at least a bit quicker, sit at the bar. My recommendation is only go here if you can’t think of anywhere else or you live close and don’t wanna drive far.

Thirsty Lions is probably my favorite, if not one of my most favorite restaurants. I remember that every time I go here the service is great and the food is great as well. I want to leave my most memorable review here which was on July 4^th. Me and love went up to Rocky Butte to look at fireworks and we drove home at night around 10 PM. We called local places and they were all closed, but we hit the jackpot as we called Thirsty Lions and they were still open until 11. We came in late but the served us with outstanding customer service and the food was very good. I really enjoyed being here, and I always come back here when I get the chance to.

Great atmosphere! Great beer! Great cocktail! Great service! Good Food!
We went on new year’s eve. Even though the place was crowded the service was pretty fast. The prices looked decent to me for such hospitality and dinner. They even provided free champagne at midnight. We also got hats and tiaras for the new year. It was fun.

I would rate 6 stars if possible!

Nice busy spot! Staff really had no personality at the bar. Shrimp tacos were nice but not great.
Biggest disappointment this is an English pub and they could not find a soccer match on. Scrolled right by two different replays of UEFA matches…
Decided to leave after finishing my food. Nice beer list.

Food 5 stars. Hands down. Amazing. Onolicious. And for that reason alone. We will go back.
Service. Good but not great.
It is oddly LOUD in here… when only about half — ²⁄₃ full. Didn’t get that.
Great décor.

Cons:
— Loud, like too loud to hear someone across the table.
— They only hire cute young girls as servers and dress them in skimpy skirts. Eww, not classy.
— Overpriced for the quality.
— Atmosphere; very chain-​esque/​basic.
Pros:
— The bartenders are great/​good drink selection.
— Though kinda average overall, the food is really good for the suburbs.

So, I’m writing this review after an hour of waiting for our food since we’ve ordered. Party of (3), sat down around 6:45PM on Tuesday night on the floor.
Great atmosphere that is dim lit and a dark wood, rustic feeling. The bar area has (7) large tv’s that is fun — if you can get a seat.
Anyways, we just got our food — Dave, Steve, & Sean (Who are the Managers), please take some constructive feedback:
When you’re not prepared to serve during peak times because of staffing and saving $ due to labor, don’t seat people and forwarn people how long the wait will be. Also, your waitress (Dylan) only checked in on us to ask if I wanted another drink 30min in, an no apologies or updates on being served? After we asked to our status to another waitress — (3) waitresses came to our table except our initial waitress. She’s not supposed to be saved by her coworkers, it’s her responsibility and her table, and ultimately her tip.
Hope this changes — communication to those who come here for food is key to happy guests. Cheers.
Update: David, the manager just came by apologizing the delay in the delivery of our food. He explained the situation and was accommodating. Thank you David.
In addition, a few minutes later, our waitress, Dylan came up to us and apologized for the inconvenience and comped us our appes and drinks. We respect her for coming up to us and talking with us about the situation.
Okay, putting the onsite feedback and doing something about it in the moment was great.

I ordered the smoked chicken salad.
It was everything I hoped for and more.
The service was perfect from the second you enter, till even after you leave! I left my cell phone on the table and returned about an hour later for it. What a relief to find out my phone was placed safely in a drawer and to have it handed over by the hostess with a smile.

First and foremost, they lost our reservation and had scheduled us for an hour later, the only reason they honored our reservation was that someone else cancelled. It was so loud, I couldn’t even hear the person next to me. The food was great, but when it was dropped off I couldn’t even get anyone to bring me vinegar for my potatoes. No one asked if I wanted a drink refill.
The waitress was nice, the food was really good, but service lacked and I’m still upset that the reservation got screwed up for my father in law’s birthday.
