The Ultimate Tan & Med Spa

I am a real client of Ultimate Tan and med spa and have had good treatments there with Carrie the technician. I bought two packages for laser hair removal and a accent and nir package.
After second treatment of nir, I told the manager Leslie Pinca, I don’t like the treatment and would like to cancel it and put the money towards laser hair removal. She said okay and changed it, and since then she goes into the charts illegally and deeltes treatments and accuses people of not having anymore treatments left.
She made the other front desk girls call me 30 minutes before my appointment and told them to tell me I need to buy more treatments because I was out. Which was incorrect because the front desk girls and I have kept track of my treatment numbers.
Leslie is not professional at all. She judges clients from they’re looks and up charges or deletes treatments off they’re accounts so she can get more commission off of new treatment charges. She is the worst employee of the company and the company would be better off without her judgemental, unprofessional attitude.
On top of all this, she tells other people that work there to charge people double the actual price if they come in and look like they have money and or nice cars.
WARNING TO NEW CLIENTS: Don’t go with a nice car or nice clothes. Garuntee they will charge you way over the regular price. And watch your credit cards.
This review is the open up Debbi’s eyes (the owner), she’s letting a abusive manager run not only the Tigard location but also her Hillsboro location.

My fiancé went to this location due to a groupon deal. They tried to get her to sign a contract for a year membership and she declined. Six months later they took $ 450 from her account! They were not willing to work with her and insisted she signed a contract! Her bank has blocked the company and given her money back! Much thanks to US Bank! Much boos to massage group!

I recently purchased a package for a spa treatment and had my first appointment a few days ago. So far I am very pleased. The facility is nice and clean, the staff are friendly and the lady who did my treatment was informative and made me feel at ease. I will likely be looking for other deals at this place as well :) Thanks!

Found this place on Groupon. I purchased a Groupon for one month of level 1 tanning. I looked at a Unilocal after I purchased, oops. I’m glad I didn’t read the reviews, I just finished my month and I like this place!
Location: plenty of parking. The salon is tucked back in the corner across from Cooperstown Restaurant.
Atmosphere: at first glance it seems really nice… Then as you look at the details you see where things miss the mark a bit. The tile counter top was cut incorrectly and has a gab, the bottom of the doors don’t line up, etc. Nothing that impairs your service, it just catches your eye.
Cleanliness: the lobby is always neat and clean. The tanning beds are always sanitized. No dust bunnies on the floors. I’ve never seen oil or lotion marks from the previous tanner.
Staff: they always greet me when I walk in. If they are with someone they still acknowledge my presence.
Prices/​Packages: same price as the salon a block away. Cheaper than Tan Republic and Palm Beach Tan.
**Keep in mind — If you do a membership you will agree to 3, 6 or 12 months — after you complete your contract it goes month to month and they will auto-​deduct your monthly payment. This was made very clear by two different staff members. To avoid this you can pay for a year package in full or make 6 payments on a year package.
Tanning beds: all in great shape
Level 1: 20 minute bed
Level 2: 12 minute high pressure bed (stand up or lay down)
Red light bed

DO NOT GO TO THE ULTIMATE TAN AND MED SPA. This place is a horrible business. Unproffesional, dirty, and overall a scam. Half of the laser services I’ve haddone don’t even work! They call to cancle or reschdule my appointments all the time. They are constantly making changes, i rarely see the same person twice. I finally find an aesthetician that I love and she leaves, probably because she can’t deal with the unproffesionalism and inconsistancies. I would recommend spending your money elsewhere. This review is not only meant for the Hillsboro location but all locations as I have been to many. These people are money hungry and push and beg their customers to buy more and more. They lie about guaranteed results and its just ridiculous. I hope they go out of business. You know what they say «it all trickles down from the top»

To summarize :
1 — DONT waste your money. And your time.
2 — If you are told that you have an appointment for a certain time, call back and verify with another staff member that you actually do have the appointment.
3 –Do not be surprised if your ‘expert”esthetician contradicts her own expert opinions/​suggestions the next time you see her.
4 –Do not fall for the repeated cheap deals on Groupon/​Living Social/​Sharing spree for this place. ESPECIALLY the Laser hair removal. There is a reason this place gives away such cheap deals.

I went here with a Groupon for 3 spray tans. This place was ok. Kind of confusing to find if you have never been there before, since from the parking lot it is kind of tucked away in a corner. Also, I stood at the counter for about 5 minutes while the front desk girl was chatting with someone about her Memorial Day Weekend plans. Nothing makes me feel more awkward than being ignored in a place of business, especially while I am less than a foot away. I didn’t notice any drastic change in color from the tan either, so while I have two left, I don’t know that I will be rushing back any time soon. The inside of the salon is clean and the décor is nice, but obviously that only goes so far. From my experience, the girls (and guys) at Palm Beach Tan are much more friendly and I had better results with the tan.
