Highland County Animal Shelter is a no kill shelter in Hillsboro, Ohio. They will take in any animal and do their best to care for them, but ultimately they need to find them a loving home. They do the best the can with what they have, but because they are a no kill shelter, they are in constant need for supplies or donations. They could use any type of supplies, like food, treats or even vaccine medications. Monetary donations are always helpful, which is tax deductible folks! When I lost my dog of 15 years, I was a mess. The last thing I needed to do was get another dog immediately, but this impulsive action lead me to Highland County Animal Shelter and ultimately to my new dog, Phoebe. She was 4 months old and scared to death. She jumped up and wrapped herself around my hips like a child. She is a good girl and has lots of energy and very loving. In addition, Phoebe is now a famous puppy model! She is in The 365 Puppies A Year Calendar for 2011! Check out her picture on Unilocal! Thank you to all at Highland County Animal Shelter for taking such good care of her and all the animals in your shelter! Without you, some animals would never know what it’s like to be part of a family, be loved or in this case, BEFAMOUS! Thank you!
