Great authentic Vietnamese food served in a wonderful atmosphere. Will definitely come here again!

The phở here is the best around! The vegetarian(you can add meat) has so much flavor. Haven’t been to another phở place that compares.

Ridiculously good food. Try the beef Phở with extra spice! Excellent atmosphere, good music, friendly family staff, beautiful décor, and some of the best Vietnamese food iv found in Oregon. I’m coming here all the time now, with a happy tummy. :)

I got the Drunken Crispy Chicken and the Wonton Noodle Soup. I loved how subtle and creamy the soup was. The chicken was filling, not greasy, and hit the spot. The portions are huge, so two people could easily share one order and still have room for more. The service was great!

Love the noodle soups here. Have also had papaya salads at multiple places and it is well done. Overall we like the freshness of the vegetables. Know there are many Vietnamese places in the area to try but haven’t felt the need to branch out from this place yet!

Great phở bowls and many other tasty things on their menu. However, most if not all servers treat you awful unless you tip 20%+ every time they see you, and are seemingly entitled to tips they don’t deserve/don’t work for. Impossible to get dessert here because they don’t ask if you want any after your meal– your check is dropped off 10 minutes into your meal and they don’t come back until you drop cash or your card. Service is overall careless and unauthentic/unfriendly.

This place is great. Consistently good food. I love the garlic pork noodle bowl. We have lunch here monthly. Once they messed up in our order and forgot to include a sandwich. The owner drove the food to us and personally apologized. Amazing service!

I have eaten here many times and it has been good up until today. My boyfriend and I are vegetarian, so he ordered the tofu noodle bowl and asked if it was vegetarian(the man said«yes»). I ordered the«vegetarian» spring roll bowl(it is labeled as vegetarian) and asked for no onions on top. We both pointed to the items on the menu as we ordered. Unfortunately, neither of us got what we asked for. He got a shrimp dish, which we sent back. Mine was initially covered in onions so they brought me a new one. I had eaten one of the spring rolls then asked the waiter if I was eating meat because mine looked different than my boyfriend’s. He said«yes». I don’t think I can believe anything the menu says or trust the staff to get the order correct and will never go back.

Had crispy Vietnamese crêpe with shrimp, very little flavor. Basically just a lot of jicama, carrots and shrimp Seafood spring rolls also mediocre. Lemongrass chicken was tasty though. We will try Bambuza just one more time, probably will try the Phở. Happy Grazing! Aaron

Oh dear. Major step down. Not in food– actually the food was great. Salad rolls were tasty and fresh, lemongrass chicken was so delicious and flavorful, and the beef phở was also(apparently) tasty. We ate it all. Service, however, was past the point of cold or dismissive to «rude». Seriously rude. They close at 9. I know that. We walked in at 8:16. There were 3 tables in the middle of eating, and one guy standing at the counter. He glared at us when we walked in, then turned his back to us and stood there. I said hello and asked for a table for two. He turned back to us and motioned to the far corner. «Sit». Um, ok. We sat ourselves, he literally threw menus at us, and walked away. Within 2 minute(I hadn’t even taken my purse off my arm), he returned with napkins(only napkins) and said, «what do you want». I asked for a minute to think, and he wordlessly disappeared. We placed our order at 8:20, as he was clearly in a hurry to get rid of us. The meal continued like that until he came by at 8:50 and said, «Pay at the front» and stomped off. Such an uncomfortable dining experience because of him! An otherwise pretty restaurant with usually great food had such irritable staff. I can tell when someone hates their job and me, and when I am resented. I don’t think that’s forgiveable; I can also sense when someone is tired/has had a rough day and that is more understandable. I’ve worked in restaurants my whole life. I get it. It doesn’t mean you can be rude.

Went here with a few friends to try the phở while i was visiting Portland. We started out with spring rolls both fresh and fried. Both were very good. The phở was very flavorful and on par with many of the Vietnamese restaurants i have tried. The service was excellent as the waiter constantly made sure we had everything we needed. I had the combo phở which includes the meatballs, thin sliced steak, and another meat i cant remember at the moment! All around a good meal and would definitely return!

This place was terrible. The iced coffee was not at all the right flavor and it was gritty with coffee grounds. It seemed like they didn’t use sweetened condensed milk either. The bahn mi was okay but what when I order a bahn mo, I expect it to have julienned pickled daikon and carrots along with jalapeños and onions. This sandwich had sliced carrots that were not pickled, big fat ½ inch cucumber slices with the skin on, no jalapeños, no onions. When I asked for onions and jalapeño, the response was«uh…». When the server went to get the things I asked for, it was a big deal and all the people in the kitchen were staring at me. When I got the onions and jalapeños, they were huge fat slices. Not only was that off putting but the service was full of attitude.

Usually, I love Bambuza. I like the bright ambiance and gentle music, and the quick and efficient service. I love their chicken phở bowls, and the crispy pork spring rolls are lovely. It’s close to my apartment, and the prices are reasonable. Quaint little location within the Tanasbourne area makes it accessible for many in the Hillsboro area. They do have some OK servers, and then some servers who need to take a few lessons in customer service. We were one of two tables filled tonight, and we had to ask our server had three times for water refills and a to go bowl. The service here is less than personable, but they do leave you be to enjoy your meal. I will keep coming back because I do enjoy the food here, but the service could be better.

I want to start off by saying I have been a loyal customer for bambuza. There food is usually on point and good. We would eat there at least 2 times a month. On Wednesday I ordered my usually lemongrass beef and bambuza rolls. Well when I got my order it was not right. We decided to shrug it off because things happen. After bringing it up to management they fixed the issue and kindly assisted me. I love this place.

The food was ok, did not find too many options. Ordered tofu vegetable noodles, I liked it. My bad rating is mostly because of a dirty spoon. They gave a peanut sauce for salad rolls and the spoon that came with it was dirty, so we sent it back and they came back with the same spoon with the dirt wiped with a tissue it really put me off. I’m probably not coming back here again.

What does one eat on Fridays during Lent when you’re just too damn tired of fish? A tofu noodle bowl! I’ve been wanting to try this place out for a while and never had a strong enough motivation to go. Well, Lent is a great time to initiate change and I am so glad I did. I had no idea really what to order– bowl or platter? I asked the guy up front and he suggested the tofu noodle bowl with lemongrass sauce because it would be more flavorful. His recommendation was on point and I’m so glad he noticed I was a noob at Vietnamese food. ^_~ The servers were great at filling up my water cup and even let me hang out inside to try to wait out the heavier part of the rain. The guy who helped me order even came around to see how I was liking the food. I love the warm and friendly vibes this place gives off. The price and portions are fantastic and a great bang for your buck. Cheers to finding a great neighborhood lunch spot!!!

Pleasantly surprised! I have been meaning to stop here for some time now. Each time I had a pressing prior engagement, or my progeny begging for Jimmy John’s sandwiches instead. Well, not this time! On this wet and cold winter day, there were no excuses! First scan of the menu, I relished the fact that I had options to choose from, but not to the point of overwhelming. There are a decent amount of vegetarian dishes to choose from as well. I ordered the vegetarian salad rolls, and the spicy beef stew noodle soup. Both of which were immensely satisfying for this hungry dude. Pricing is decent and more affordable than Saigon First down the road. Even better is there was no drop-off in the quality of the ingredients! This is a beginning to a beautiful relationship with Bambuza!

Not a bad little Vietnamese joint for Hillsboro. Work colleagues and I ended up coming up here for lunch a couple time while I was up here for a business trip. plenty large portions, really good spring rolls and Bun, Phở and Com Da dishes.
