Valvoline Instant Oil Change

So quick and easy! I’ve never felt any pressure for add-​ons with these guys, just friendly updates and suggestions. I feel like they are honest and trustworthy. I drive a lot due to my job, and I only go here and to the Polaris location for my frequent oil changes.

I am a satisfied customer at Valvoline. For me, there is nothing worse than waiting for my car to be serviced or trying to coordinate a ride there and back from a friend. So Valvoline suits my needs as being a quick and convenient option for oil changes and light maintenance on my Honda Accord.
The employees are always cordial and respectful. They tend to be a little overly scripted though. I have never had to wait more than a few minutes to get into a bay, and once in a bay– I am usually done within 15 – 20 minutes. But if I ever showed up at an unfortunate time and saw more than 1 car waiting, I would just come back later.
My only gripe is the constant attempt to upsell service after service. I appreciate that they respect your decision when you say «no» and do not try to pressure you. Still, it gets annoying to decline 10+ services sometimes. And for someone who is not car-​maintenance-​savvy, I do second guess myself that I might miss a needed service in the flurry of services «explained» to me.
But if you are looking for convenience and speed over the cheapest price (I usually pay around $ 40 I think) and aren’t intimidated to decline a whole list of other services, then I would recommend Valvoline. I have been to multiple locations over the years, and the Roberts Rd one is a solid choice.

Every time I go in here, they get me done super fast and can do just about any maintenance I need, including plenty I don’t even know if I do need.
Everyone is always extremely friendly, knowledgable and fast. I have had a consistenly good experience every time, at every Valvoline. Though I’ve only been to another one twice.
This spring my AC had been broken since last summer. The shop I usuallly go to, Firestone, wanted me to leave it there all day while they go through the whole system looking for problems. I’d have had to get a ride home and a ride back from someone and god only knows what it would cost. But I took it over to Valvoline, half hour later my AC is working. All it took was a flush and recharge for $ 150 that they even said they wouldn’t charge me for if it didn’t fix the problem. They also inspected it while they were there to make sure there were no leaks and confirmed the compressor was working fine.
My only complaint is that they relentlessly try to upsell you on all these other things that I don’t know if I need or not. Even the things I’m pretty sure I do need, I don’t know if I need them then. They prey on my lack of car knowledge and use it to squeeze more money out of me. I don’t blame the employees but it’s very off putting.

The hubby and I stop in here every so often to have our oil changed on our cars. The people that work here are always friendly and they go over ever detail of service that they provided to our car. Sometimes you have to time it right to get your oil changed or you get stuck waiting for a while. Great place and location!
