KFC has really let me down lately, and as this is the location I visit most, they get the review. For I don’t know how long, 30 – 40 years, KFC had a simple menu and a simple meal system. One piece with sides, two pieces with sides, 3 pieces with sides, bucket. As recently as last year, the 2 piecer was $ 5.99, a bargain, breast and wing(white meat). Then they trashed all that in favor of an awfully-promoted $ 5 meal which didn’t have the same mix(no breast and wing? Cookie? Who asked for a f*** cookie?) and making it the old 2-piecer took more money. So going into my latest visit, I’m not all that happy with KFC. But now, they have the Nashville Hot Chicken. I have just tried the Nashville Hot chicken. The two piece was a thigh and drum. It was the greasiest stuff I have ever been sold by KFC, and possibly by anyone anywhere. This stuff is supposed to drain on a rack first, isn’t it? Not sure it should have even been sold. I sort of finished it with the wary feeling that my gall bladder would give me hell for it later. I thought about giving the location a second star; the young people who work there are always friendly and quick, and I can still appreciate the sides(which haven’t changed in 40 years). But I can’t get past that chicken and the menu shenanigans. Not even taking the TV ads into the rating; maybe if they’d kept Darrell Hammond as the Colonel instead of Norm, I’d give KFC two stars; he played the Colonel as a creepy old man, and for all I know he probably was one. Maybe you can bring Dave Thomas back from the grave next, Darrell.

You know, it’s KFC. There was a long wait because the computer wouldn’t take someone’s order, but after that things moved quickly. Staff were very friendly and efficient. I had some hot wings, and tried the«new» baked beans as a side. Chicken was typical KFC– okay, reasonably priced. The beans weren’t great. I’ll be back sometime. Once in a while I want chicken, and this is handy.

Cant write much about this review other than the food was ok. I ordered a #5 here for lunch the other day and it wasnt even worth the money I paid for it. Food was a little bland. I would have to give credit for at least the cole slaw. That was good. Other food wasnt all that great. Its too bad I had to stand at the counter(inside) for quite some before I was waited on.
