Small town breakfast joint. I ordered the touch of Mexico skillet and it was perfect. Huge portion, lots of chorizo, eggs cooked perfect. All skillets come with a side of toast or PANCAKES! What?!? Our waitress Bonnie was awesome! We just passed through on out way back to Columbus and would stop by again when traveling to Chicago.

Good food at a great price. Kids eat free on certain days. Tons of seating and the kids menu provides the kids plenty of food. Great for a group with kids!

I just got an account, so this review is a bit late. My child and I went to Les Café for the first time on a Saturday, turns out kids eat free. BONUS So I thought. MY kid ordered the Mickey mouse pancake. … It was raw!!! My server, whom I thought was INCREDIBLE by the way, was embarressed and went straight to the younger owner to remedy the situation. The woman came to our table to see what our problem was. I told her my child’s pancake was raw. She LITERALLY said to me «what do you care, it was free anyway» My server was MORTIFIEDMORETHAN I WAS I THINK. I am new to the neighborhood and my office which consists of 30 employees, could not believe how badly we were treated. None of them will be patronizing your establishment, nor will my neighbors or friends. My office is a block away, what a shame. but we will drive an extra few blocks for the better food, Just wish I could get the service that I got at Les café. It Is the ONLYPERKTHERE!

Huge portions, cheap, fast, delicious. I was just passing through but if I was local I would frequent this breakfast joint.

Not sure why no one’s mentioned this yet, but this place is clearly owned by the same people who own The Pancake Club in Schererville. The menu is identical. What I like: –Freshly(but blandly) decorated and clean inside. –Large menu –Fruit can be substituted(for $ 1) on most entrees instead of a potato. –Wide variety of pancake options — regular, red velvet, buckwheat, etc. –Some of the waitresses really go above and beyond with their service and friendliness. What i don’t like: -«6 egg omelets» are some of the smallest I’ve had in the region. The same size as the Commander’s, which are advertised as 3 egg omelets! –Bus boy who brought water to the table kept touching his face/nose while handling people’s water glasses. He wasn’t even in a uniform, so maybe he’s not a regular employee… –If you have any upgrades to your meal(like specialty pancakes or fruit), it DOESN’T show up on the bill. It’ll just say, for example, «Omelet — $ 6.95. Grand total with tax — $ 9.50.» So if you’re dining with other people, that makes splitting the check a lot more difficult, because you know you’ve dined with one of those people who just goes«oh, mine was only 7 bucks!» and then you get stuck with paying for their extras. Don’t you hate people like that?! Pay for what you ordered, Aunt Linda! Anyway, where was I? Oh, right. Yeah, this place is fine, the end.

First time and came across when I seen a group full of people going in. Great fast friendly service but I won’t be getting the steak breakfast again. The steak not only tasted old but there was no flavor at all. You can taste the steak been out for awhile yuck and the potatoes were still cold when they were served. kinda bummed about breakfast. Also please learn to clean your windows, it look like a bug cemetery especially when you see the dead bugs getting layered with tape so you people got lazy and didn’t bother cleaning. Yuck. The only reason why this place gets 2 starts is because of great friendly service you get when you enter and waitress was awesome.

Only came here because I won a gift card in raffle from a motorcycle benifit ride for veterans. Awesome food selection, great tasting food, great service, came on a sunday late morning around 11 it looked pretty busy but we were seated right away. The prices are fair I would even say on the cheaper side. Wife got the chicken ceaser wrap I got melting pot over easy eggs. Delicious. Def will come back!

Completely disappointed. These are the same owners who have the Pancake Club in Schererville. Coffee was weak. Veggie omelet was typical. Toast was dry. One bright spot the service was friendly and attentive. There are other places to spend your breakfast dollars.

I try to stay away from chain food if at all possible. I would never have even gone down this street if I didn’t Unilocal it. Even though I have driven a block south of here a hundred times. It was a cold day and I needed a good breakfast. The menu was a heavy on the omelets and skillets. I was looking for some eggs, bacon and toast. They had eggs with options. But they were one or two eggs. I was hungry. So I got the meat lovers skillet. It says two eggs, but it came with four. Yay! They were perfectly cooked, over easy. The bacon chunks were way passed go. They must have been cooked more than once as they shattered when I bit into them. The tots and onions were standard issue. the waitress was outstanding. Great little place in Highland.

Place was packed for breakfast on a Sunday morning. Healthy portion sizes for the price as stated below, but our food was served cold, We had to ask twice for our water and the skirt steak wasn’t the best tasting. Overall I wasn’t impressed with the place.

Here is another in a line of family style restaurants over in NW Indiana(Highland). Their menu is varied and they have a full line of breakfast and lunch type foods(only open basically for the two meals). I had not been here in a number of years but decided to give it a try today since I had my mom with me and we were looking for a place to eat. The portions are huge and filling. I had a gypsy skillet(eggs, melted cheese, ham, onions, and peppers on a bed of potatoes. My mom had an everything omlet sans the cheese. She had toast with hers and I had pancakes which were huge. Definitely helped that the coffee was bottomless cup(and they even had Splenda upon request!) . Definitely will come here again if the opportunity allows itself.

I rarely rate places that doesn’t serve alcohol so this place must be special. The food is great and the prices are too. Need I say more?

Junk. Went for breakfast, food was so so but the over the top moment was the waitress walking around serving coffee tea. I put one cream in and it turned into milk. Leave this place for the senior citizens.

I have to caveat this review with the fact that I’m from Chicago. Les Bros is a great little breakfast joint minus the big city prices. Traditional diner feel, friendly service, easy seating even at a prime weekend brunch hour, and delicious(if predictable) breakfast fare. We stopped in hungover on a Sunday morning and left feeling full and happy.

I am a HUGE fan of diners. In this area they usually equate to big portions, cheap eats, and a slight let down in the flavor department. That’s to be expected, but this place was a disgrace. Although the restaurant had charm, i.e. the wait staff, warm atmosphere, and the fact it’s located in the most adorable neighborhood ever… their lack of culinary prowess definitely can’t be ignored. My meal was all to reminiscent of cafeteria food, which could have been my fault, because I order chicken tenders.(I figured since it was my first time there I’d keep it simple.) However, the following things should be noted.1) Chicken tenders should not taste like Tyson frozen chicken fingers. 2) Crinkle cut fries should be hot or at least salted, these were neither. 3) Iceberg lettuce? Really??? I will give this place the benefit of the doubt because their breakfast did look appetizing. I hear that is what they are known for. So I think I’d give it another go just to try the breakfast. Hopefully, my next meal will be better than my first. If you want better lunch/dinner fare try Jedi’s Garden… They have decent breakfast there but better lunch/dinner fare.

Despite the assertions of Ms.“I went away to college and nothing’s good enough for me” this place isn’t half bad. They are very generous with their portions which wouldn’t mean much(are you listening Sophia’s?) normally, but they have a very nice breakfast. The eggs are perfectly cooked, the bacon is thick and crisp, and the hash browns are actually brown. Also, you can sub in hotcakes for your hash browns on any breakfast plate, which is pretty nice. The waitresses are fast and friendly and they have fresh squeezed orange juice, unlike most places in the area which serve some form of concentrated junk. Definitely go there for breakfast. Other than that, if you end up at a Greek breakfast place for lunch or dinner, you’re getting what you deserve.

I have fond memories of coming to this restaurant with my grandmother as a child back when it was called Greek Island or Greek Isles or something. Not because the food was great, but because it was part of our routine and I miss my grandma. I recently wound up here out of desperation since I didn’t want fast food(or to be forced to eat at the nearby and equally mediocre Purple Steer), and it was okay. Pretty standard Greek diner fare, which as we all know is relatively crappy by definition. I ordered a sandwich that came with fries and soup, but the soup(Chicken Noodle) was so salty I couldn’t possibly eat it. The sandwich(Turkey & Swiss Croissant) was predictably average. Likewise, the thick crinkle fries were lackluster. However, the service was very good and the waitress was extremely friendly and attentive. Of course, we were pretty much the only customers because it was about to close, as it was 4 p.m. and apparently that’s when most places in Highland turn into pumpkins. I was pleased to see that the new owners did not paint over the cheesy mural of the Greek islands, but was perplexed, to say the least, at the decision to smear the stucco moldings with paint the color of menstrual blood. Sorry for the visual, but seriously, why?
