This post is not about the food; but an unbelievable dinner experience tonight… although we haven’t yet eaten. We ordered food to be picked up; which we did; got it home; opened it up, only to see that they had given us the wrong order. After three phone-calls to them; they agreed to come get the wrong order; and bring us the correct one. They did come; but only to pick up the WRONG order; WITHOUTGIVINGUSOURFOOD. They were then going to the next town over to pick up OURFOOD that they had delivered to the wrong house because those people HADN’T OPENEDITYET. Really??? And then deliver it here? Instead of just re-making our order and delivering it fresh? Very bizarre business practice. We won’t be ordering from them again with this kind of «customer service».

Its our«go to» takeout… hands down. Fast, fresh and priced well. Love that they are open Monday’s(closed Wednesday instead!) ;-) The large Hot and sour soup feeds a whole family!

It’s suburban Chinese and it delivers. It’s not the worst food you’ll ever eat… and it’s not the best. On a night when I can’t cook, this is an acceptable substitute.

Great food for decent price. I fed five people plus leftovers with two moo-shi orders, friend rice, and ribs. The appetizer ribs were really good and could be a meal in itself. The moss shi chicken and beef were very good with authentic pancakes(not tortilla) and ample Hoisin sauce. Limited seating and mostly carry out. We carried out for home meals. Pretty darn good. Located in strip mall. Doesn’t look like much, but a lot of turnover in food with a lot of carry-out orders. Delivery though Grub Hub only.

Have gotten take out from here a couple of time now. I will not be giving it another go. Just not a fan of their style of cooking. The family are big fried rice fans. I really wanted to like this but just couldn’t. The rice was over soy sauced and not distributed evenly throughout. It really just tasted of soy sauce and clumpy rice. The dumplings that I ordered on this visit were heavy and doughy. The sauce that comes with a standard dumpling order is usually sweet, tangy and clings to the dumpling like a beautiful glaze. This sauce was none of these, tasteless and thin. There are better options right here in HP.

Very, very salty. Not edible. We had to throw out our carryout order. The egg rolls had a very strange taste and those were tossed as well.

Very solid Chinese food. Loved it when they were golden crown in northbrook and the quality has transferred to the highland park location. Their bbq spare ribs, beef chow fun and shrimp fried rice are my go to orders. Very consistent and fresh.

This is great chinese. It’s cheap, fast, and delicious. We’ve only ever had the same order there: chef special lo mein, bbq spare ribs, and potstickers, but it’s such a perfect meal that we don’t really see any reason to look at anything else. Plus, the portions are HUGE– that order(1 entrée, 2 apps) is enough for 4 people, easily. It’s definitely not the fanciest chinese food in the area, but for my money, it’s the best bet.

Very solid chinese food. I got the Beef Lo Mein and it had a good amount of meat, tasted fresh, and was flavored good. Their base sauce is really good. Don’t judge a book by it’s cover. I’m not sure where the other reviews get off calling this place disgusting. Me thinks fake accounts. Unilocal algorithm do your job.

We just ordered takeout from this restaurant for the first time. We ordered the walnut shrimp and it tasted more like an Italian fried shrimp dish then Chinese. This is probably the worst take out that I have ever had. So disappointing!

Out on my lunch break… Stopped by this little spot. I must say looks can be deceiving. Little place but big flavor and portions. I had the general tso chicken and I have to say it’s the best I ever had. Best egg rolls by far too. I can’t speak for the other stuff on the menu but if that taste anything like what I had I’m sure u won’t be disappointed! A must try.

Ate there last night and ate my leftovers this morning(my husband ate his as soon as we got home, sweet’s sour chicken) so good!. Constantly delicious! Exactly what I want from a Chinese Restaurant. Seriously, the owners are so nice, family owned, they will answer any of my questions about what to order. This is only place on the north shore that makes me not to go all the way to Chinatown. I ate the hunon chicken with egg roll and fried rice. So good I am still thinking about it. Next time I am in Highland Park I will be eating here. Not to be missed!

Best Chinese food in the Highland Park area. Fresh and yummy. Egg rolls were fair, but other dishes including Hunan Chicken, Szechwan Shrimp and Fried Rice are very good! Delivery is fast, too.

This placed changed owners or chefs. The food was disgusting. Too bad, used to be decent. We ordered won ton soup(the won tons were bulky and tasteless), Mongolian beef(odd tasting), Fish with vegetables(the fish was somehow coated and deep fried before being cooked in a salty weird tasting sauce), shrimp and Chinese broccoli(they used these tiny shrimps).

I had a lunch take out from here once. It was just not decent at all. It was overly salty and greasy.

Amazing vegetable eggroll! Beef and broccoli is perfect especially if you ask for Chinese broccoli. Singapore fried noodles is my absolute favorite Chinese dish and they do an amazing rendition here.

My Go To Chinese place! After living in downtown HP for over a year I have had the opportunity to try almost every take out Chinese in town. I think that this one is my favorite. It is nothing special to look at, especially the small pick up/dining area. but the food stands out from the other joints in its genre because they use REAL cuts of meat!!! The chicken is a legitimate, whole chicken tender. Breaded and cooked in whatever way you desire. The pork and beef seem a little less cheap than some other places. I especially like the sesame chicken, beef & broccoli, sweet and sour chicken, and pot stickers. Their dinner come with a healthy size portion of fried rice for an additional dollar and an egg roll. To sum it up, for decent, cheap Chinese, this is the place for you.

We just got the combo fried rice to go. The space inside is small but they had some tables in case you want to eat there. The fried rice was decent but lacking a little flavor. I was hoping the combo would be pork chicken and shrimp but it was pork beef and chicken. Decent amount of veggies but i would have preferred more. decent size pieces of meat but have definitely had larger, though some people don’t find that appealing in their fried rice. All in all, i would order again to try more of their menu and update my review. but what do i know, go check it out and Unilocal that shit
