4 stars because it is close to home and although it is not a huge place it is peaceful and quite beautiful. Found this place late fall and was surprised to learn people who have lived in the area a lot longer have never been there, or even knew it existed. Due to the time of year with paths covered in leaves I wasn’t 100% sure where all the paths/trails were. We hiked what I believe to be the main loop in about 20 minutes, there are a few hills, so a few spots could be considered a tad challenging to non-pros or people out of shape like myself. There is a covered picnic area, and minimal playground equipment(2 swings and I slide I think…). Also outhouses if you are brave enough for that kind of thing… I believe this will be my go-to place when I just need a short walk, and don’t want to drive far. Looking forward to returning in the spring!
