This is more of an informative review than anything else, people ask me about Tyson all the time. Its a 2,000 acre research station located outside STL off I-​44 and owned by Washington University. I have a research studio here, so I go here on a regular basis for the last 15 years. It is NOT open to the public and some very serious research in the plant and animal sciences happen here not only by WU researchers, but faculty from all over the county come here, especially in the summer. The Wild Canid Research Center is also located at Tyson and it is not part of WU but leases space from the University, they often have programs for the public but generally, they are by prior arrangement.
