Fast, friendly, always consistently fresh and delicious! The cornbread and French toast are out of this world.

I have been here a few times to meet friends for breakfast. It is average. The food is ok and the prices too. I usually get the eggs Benedict, which they have as a special usually only on the weekends. I do love to get one of their large muffins heated on the griddle with butter. Other than that nothing super special or creative.

If you’re in the Higganum Center area this is the place to go for breakfast. Always delicious daily specials in addition to a full hearty menu(including gluten free and vegetarian choices). It is also clean, well lit and has a pleasant atmosphere of locals catching up with one another to business folks getting their day started. Fresh fruit always available.

Very cozy and the pancakes are so good lots of great choices for breakfast. Love the way they hang the kids art work from the schools up around the restaurant.

Jack’s is a nice local breakfast and lunch joint in the center of Higganum. You get a lot of value for what you pay. The service is very friendly and the waitstaff has a nice relationship with a lot of the locals who visit throughout the week. The menu has a lot of variety to it — everything from light and healthy options to comfort food. I would certainly recommend it for breakfast if you are in the area.

Excellent food and huge portions. The line gets long so get there as early as possible. The French toast is the best with cinnamon butter on top :)

What a great homey place. Clearly run by a family, the place feels genuine as soon as you walk in. Pros: Great wall art by the community school The omelets are great The hash is delicious Cons: Waitress seemed a bit frazzled Special requests like can I get home fries instead of eggs can’t be accommodated easily at least All packaged material, like packs of sugar and packs of salt and packs or milk-why not just get jars of each for the tables? Do it for the environment, the earth will thank you.

Good food and attentive service, although felt a little rushed when looking for my choice. Turnaround from the kitchen was very quick and ingredients appear fresh. We had a meat lovers and veggie omelet.

Rude, Rude, Rude… Was in for breakfast recently and was asked to leave my booth b/c there were people waiting. That’s OK, but, we hadn’t finished our coffees and she hadn’t cashed us out, yet! On top of it, Miss Personality is strutting around the place in tank top and short shorts with her gut hanging out — Pleasant to see when you’re trying to enjoy your breakfast. Nonetheless, guess they think it’s OK to do that to customers b/c they think they’re the only game in town… As I always say, the best way to fix that is don’t grace them with your business and tell all your friends about it! That’s what I’m doing… I won’t be coming back — hope that frees up their seating problem!

EXCELLENT!!! Jack’s has the tasty food you’d expect to find at a local dive, but is a large, bright, cheery restaurant with extremely pleasant employees! Unlike a lot of other local breakfast spots, it’s clear what you should do when you walk in because they have the«please wait to be seated» sign right inside the door. And you don’t have to wait long before being cheerfully greeted and directed to an empty table. Jack’s was off to a good start before we even looked at the menu. There were many things I wanted to try but only so much I could order on my first visit. I ordered a bacon and cheese omelet, which was bulging full of crispy bacon and was delicious. Home fries were actually crispy(so rare around here) and the cornbread was to die for. My husband got a Western sandwich, which was quite good. The food came out so quickly and the wait staff were very attentive. I don’t know if it’s typical, but the two servers seemed to handle all of the tables together, as they both helped us at different times throughout our meal. We had a great experience at Jack’s and will definitely be back!!!

Just went back to Jack’s but only because another restaurant I wanted to go to was closed. I am so glad that the other restaurant was closed because as I mentioned in previous review, Jack’s has Cinnamon French Toast which is to die for. Wonderful. breakfast. Two of us had this French Toast along with coffee. The whole bill for the two of us including a generous tip was less than $ 18.50. The restaurant does close at noon. Service was very friendly. Although most of the booths and tables were filled, you do not feel crowded. For me, the restaurant is over 30 minutes from my house. Otherwise I would be there once a week. I want to bring my wife there soon. TRAVELKAL

My husband, daughter and myself went to jacks as we were passing through town. They were about to close and even though we said we would leave they welcomed us anyways. We had two eggs, veggie hash, and the banana bread French toast. The French toast was to die for!!! Prices were super cheap, everyone was super helpful, friendly and didnt rush us. Highly recommend!

My wife and I along with my youngest child went for breakfast this morning. Places like Jacks are a dying breed as others are becoming to commercialized, Jacks is an exception. The food was great, my son had the apple pancakes which were awesome, like apple coffee cake. Portions were fair and the prices were good. Very friendly environment. I must also add it may be the cleanest restaurant I have been to in a while. Will defiantly return.

I love Jack’s country kitchen. If you get the chance to visit, order the cornbread, it’s homemade. If you like grits, they’ve got that too. The owner of this restaurant, Jack, used to be the owner of the Kountry Kitchen restaurant in Tylersville.

Jacks Country Kitchen offers outstanding breakfast offerings. I had the 2 eggs, vege hash, and grilled cornbread. The hash was incredible-mashed potatoes mixed with green and red peppers, broccoli, carrots, onions, spinach, cheddar cheese and mushrooms. The grilled cornbread was delicious. They have many other specials as well as the standards. Service is friendly and fast but not rushed. Open daily from 6 – 12 noon.

If Cheer’s had a breakfast place, this would be it! After several visits, your coffee is on the table before you even sit down. They have all your great breakfast standards and also have fabulous specials. My personal favorite is the pumpkin cranberry french toast with cranberry butter and my husband’s is the kielbasa/cheddar stuffed puff pastry, too bad its not Sunday everyday!
