The employees at the club are very nice. The bar staff is always full of life and act like they’ve known you 10 years which makes it nice. I love the painting activities they have now and then(and a little wine). JR Rockers is a great restaurant, but only wish they were open more hours.

Beautiful venue… HORRIBLE Catering Office service. We booked this place months in advance for our daughter’s first birthday party. We placed the deposit and everything. I read the whole handbook for the rules and what to expect for the timeline. THEYDON’T EVENFOLLOWIT, so don’t bother. The food for the buffet turned out good and reasonably priced at about $ 21 per person, but they don’t tell you that they charge an arm and a leg for additional items. We wanted to get lechon, but they were charging $ 600 for a 80 lb. pig. Also, for pupus they were going to charge $ 28.99/lb. for poke! Don’t get me started about their drinks… it was about $ 20 for a GALLON of juice(that’s like 3 times the price of milk or something like that). The catering office is hard to reach because they don’t answer their phones. They don’t even call you to follow up about your event… YOU have to call THEM… or else you’ll be overlooked. We didn’t even get to finalize our party choices til the week of. And at that my husband made an appointment at 1pm to see them… and the«double booked,» so he had to wait til 3 pm to be helped. Mind you that it was the WEEKOF the party and that we had called multiple times to attempt to schedule a meeting to finalize things 2 weeks prior like the handbook said to do. Also, it was a nightmare getting non-military guests on base. I followed the instructions to submit the guestlist of names, but I had to deal with another office that obviously don’t communicate with the catering office at all. The party turned out beautiful and everyone had a great time. I just wished the service was better because it would have made the experience so much better.

I was honored to be invited to the Club for a Blood Donation Appreciation luncheon in the Makai(Maui?) room? Thankfully it was a relatively short ceremony with pretty good food. Buffet style for drinks(water, lemonade, and iced tea) and food(salad, pasta salad, veggie stir fry, beef veggie stir fry, dinner roll, chicken, white rice, fried rice, fruit salad). The chicken really stood out, flavorful and tender. The fruit salad was also really good with exceptional fruits added in. The room was nice, spacious. A nice place to hold an event!

I’ve had several wonderful dining experiences here. Tradewinds Enlisted club is located on Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam, at Hickam side. Active duty, retired military, their dependents are allowed here. Others are allowed by sponser of military ID card holder. The buffet is awesome and the service is great.

I have to share my experience at a wedding that we attended at Tradewinds Enlisted Club located on Hickam. Being that I am a military brat, I am familiar with the enlisted club and officer’s club knowing that the food prepared /served is usually always good. If you are active or retired Military, you are able to reserve this club for a function. It was pretty easy to find after I took my honey on a scenic route of Hickam but overall, it is right next to a golf course. When we walked through, the building /surrounding area is clean. We signed in and was directed to the garden in the back where the ceremony was held. Although the perks of music and the decision of having pupus being circulated with a full bar open to the guests before the ceremony started is made by the couple, I am giving props to the management /coordinating team for Tradewinds Enlisted Club for offering this type of service! The staff were very efficient and friendly. They circulated with ease catering to anyone’s request for a drink or pupu. After the ceremony, we walked into the banquet room and it was very spacious /roomy with the 29 long tables(10 per table) in the bigger part of the room while the other portion of the room(spacious) held two long tables in the middle for the main course food, tables against the wall holding the drinks or dessert as well as a full bar, and a prime rib station. Best Pupus: Fried /Battered Mushrooms!!! 2nd place: Beef sticks 3rd Place: Egg rolls Main: Prime rib *PERFECT* Dessert: Bread pudding!!! Overall experience was great. Again – I give props to management for having a great service team who managed this event efficiently. To the chefs /cooks in the back, your food was delicious! I am looking forward to returning next week for a graduation party that will be held there as well!
