Toy Shan Chinese Restaurant

Not worth 4 stars, the crab ragoon is not the cream cheese texture you are use to. The rice and noodles were very bland. I also wasnt a fan of the sweet and sour sauce they have. I paid $ 40 for a qt of fried rice, qt house lo mien, crab ragoons and sweet and sour chicken. Not worth it there are way better places out there.

Was ok, not really that good. The fried rice was par boiled with not really much flavor. Went on a Sunday for lunch and the bill for 2 ppl and a child $ 30.

Toy Shan has been around since when I was in high school. I didn’t discover the food until a few years back. It’s a hole in the wall with great food. Currently we are the only customers seated inside but I can hear the constant open and closing of the door of customers picking up orders and the phone ringing with new orders being placed. The food has always been delicious and fresh. Service is good and fast. The food comes out quick and is always piping hot. When we order for pick up the food is just as good. The portions are enough to share with my husband or take for lunch tomorrow.

I purchased their BBQ pork spare ribs, the special fried rice with ham, shrimp and pork, the Chinese mixed vegetables, won-​ton soup and a couple of egg rolls and a short time after eating some of the food all 3 of us became very sick with abdominal pain. It was Saturday night and then Sunday I spent all day in bed with pains in my stomach, couldn’t even walk over to see my mom and brother who also had pains in their stomach so I stayed in bed, took tums and finally Monday morning the pains subsided.
I drove back over to the restaurant first thing Monday and the manager refused to refund my $ 36.00, telling me I should have returned the food on Sunday or driven to the hospital on Sunday anyway, regardless of how much pain I was in. I explained that I wasn’t able to walk, let alone drive and I also was trying to avoid going to the hospital and them having to pay the hospital bill because I knew it would be very costly.
As it turns out by them refusing to refund my money, it’s going to be costly for them in the long run because I filed a complaint with the Health Department, I filed additional complaints that are going to be addressed, and I am posting this review here for millions of people in the Unilocal Community to read and take caution.
In my opinion there are lots of great Chinese restaurants, but this is not one of them. There are other great Chinese restaurants who have managers/​owners, who are interested in the health and well-​being of their customers and not just in how much of their money they can keep, who would gladly have refunded my money to keep my family, my friends and neighbors, and others who read this review, as repeat customers.
If you want to eat at a restaurant that stands behind the food they serve, don’t eat at TOY SHAN Chinese Restaurant in the Country Club Plaza on NW 67^th Ave in Miami and if you do, when you become very sick, make sure you run, not walk, to the nearest hospital, no matter how much pain you are in, and tell them you ate at TOY SHAN and now have severe abdominal pain.

Been coming here for years and the food is consistently good. Love the ham fried rice and cashew chicken.

Third time coming in here and every time the staff has been very nice. Their fried rice is delicious and unlike most places, I have not tasted anything stale, thank goodness! I even bought a jade Buddha necklace for good luck… recommended by one of the ladies.

This place is consistent with their food. I like that they don’t have big chunks of onion in their rice. Their Special Fried Rice ACTUALLY has a good amount of meat and tons of shrimp unlike other places that only have like 3 pieces. Their egg rolls are delicious. They deliver fast and you can also sit in to eat. When you do they have decent service although it’s not the absolute best and it’s hard to communicate with them but they are nice.

Not really that great. The food is so so, and though the service was pretty good, they seemed under staffed. I was surprised to see so many 5 star reviews, I’m fairly suspicious.

Been buying from here for over 5 years. Good service. But just an FYI that I just found out today… of you pay with cash you’ll get some free foods depending on how much you spend. I always pay withy credit card so I have never gotten anything free.

Been ordering here for over 10 years. I used to order my food, shop in Publix and pick my food up when I was finished. Best little Chinese restaurant to me. Delivery is really fast if your near the area obviously and the food has great flavor. Always my go to for delivery!

There are some really crappy Chinese food places all over Miami but this isn’t one of them. I’ve never had a bad meal from here when craving the honey garlic chicken, wonton soup and pork fried rice. Recommended to anyone looking for their staple «chinese food» done well.

I ordered delivery through grub hub today for the second time & it was as amazing as the first time! The delivery came over 30 minutes early again! Food is fresh, delicious & so hot when it arrives, you might have to give it a second to cool off! Egg rolls are outstanding & the pork fried rice is to die for

I have been a customer for 8 years, and not once has this place ever disappointed me. The service is great, the food is really good, and honestly, they are like family to me at this point. :)

I’ve been coming here for nearly 25 years. They have my favorite egg and spring roll of any place I’ve been. The staff are very friendly and they take care of you. I love the food and the portions are great. The Orange Chicken is fantastic.

The food was great and me and my family are picky. They delivered on time I was very impressed. This place has become our new spot to order from and grubhub is awesome im glad Toy Shan Chinese is listed with them. Thank you for fresh food and fast delivery.

This is the best Chinese food around. I have tried several places and found myself a little disappointed with quality or over use of grease. Not here. Fresh and tastes hearty good.

Great little corner Chinese restaurant with good food and good prices. Fast and friendly service. The chicken in black been sauce is amazing and so is their fried rice! Try them out, you won’t be disappointed!
