Before moving to Dallas, I was here all the time. I would come here for certain things or go to another bakery nearby for other things. I have a place for certain things that I go to. After coming back to Hialeah from Dallas, this entire intersection was under construction. That intersection is Red Road(nw 57th avenue) and José Martí Boulevard(west 29th street.) This bakery isn’t exactly in that intersection but, two businesses away on the northeastern side right after west 29th street. Today was my first time here since moving back. *Because, as if traffic in Hialeah isn’t already horrific, when one side wasn’t blocked due to construction, in the middle of the day they’d block another. The next day, a different one and so on and so on. This went on for YEARS until just recently, hence, why you’re seeing me check-in to businesses you’ve never even heard of. Within these last couple of years, I have had their very popular and delicious nata birthday cake. My sister is an avid customer of this business. Anytime there is some celebratory event which requires an Hispanic cake package at an unbelievable price, this is where she orders the cake from. Pastelitos, cake, croquetas package. A fabulous deal that will feed an entire Hispanic Nation. So now that you read all that, I open the door. The first thing that penetrated my nostrils was an unpleasant odor. Once completely inside, the massive amounts of sugary sweets took-over the air. Making one forget the unpleasant overpowering odor. Also, it was unusually empty when I got there. It was just me and a couple placing their order for their festive Hispanic celebratory event. It sounded like an order being placed for a small child. Possibly, his/her birthday. That I can’t confirm. But, when you see all the birthday cakes lined-up on the window, one makes that assumption. Today I ordered a loaf of Cuban Bread and, four Panes de Gloria. The Pan de Gloria usually has loads of raw crunchy sugar atop. This one, did not. The massive amount of syrup soaked-up into the bun was there and delicious. The sweets on display inside looked good and fattening. The expected items. Was the place dirty? Nope… it was actually clean inside. It could, however, use a nice scrubbing inside. Maybe, just maybe, that will eliminate the foul odor one breaths-in just by opening the door. Once you have walked inside, some small tables are ready for a few peoples to sit and enjoy their fattening Hispanic pastries. Ironically, the tables are right next to the door. Where anyone sitting there will constantly inhale the foul odor. Whatever the Hell it is. It’s not spoiled dairy. That, I know what it smells like. This bakery, a once packed to the gills place, where it wasn’t uncommon for traffic to become congested on Red Road because of masses of people trying to find a place to park, has lost its«OOMPH.» Unlike, the other bakery I go to just five minutes away farther west. There, it’s always crowded. But I guess, if you can purchase a good birthday package for $ 19.99 here for little«Ito» or «Ita,» you can’t go wrong. I just had their cake recently this year. It’s not bad at all. The Pan de Gloria was also okay. Thing is, although the other place I keep referring to is noticeably pricier… as of today… I can totally see customer complaints here. This is a far cry from the bakery it used to be. Which, would explain, why I always see it empty when I drive by. Now that the construction in this section of Hialeah is «done,» I can use one of my favorite shortcuts, again. Where the happenings here are visible from afar. It’s not bad here… there’s just better out there these days, and, not far away from here. More up to date places. Like, the not so known«other bakery» I keep referring to. Three stars. P. S.: Highly doubtful that anyone speaks English here.

Not sure what is going on but the carne, croquettas and empanada taste really bad lately. To the point we have stopped going and had to try a few other bakerys including Vicky. Imagine my surprise when my pickiest child was okay with Vicky and not La Fe.

I’m torn between giving them 5 stars and 1 star. First off this place is solo en Español and they don’t even try to speak English. The service is chaotic and slow as can be, partially because they’re crazy busy and partially because they are super inefficient. I think they are crazy busy, though, because of their inefficiency. Also the place is super small. That’s enough of the negative, now onto the positive. Their prices are awesome. We order party platters of 75 medianoches and 75 croquetas and the price was right around $ 60. The food is awesome, with them having the best croquetas. It is doubtful I would ever go back mostly because of how far away they are.

Thank God I don’t live near this place and can only go every so often. Their café con leche is hands down the best ever and their cuban toast is just perfect. Not to mention their bakery selection is great and very tasty. Oh that Cuban bread is a perfect combination of toasty on the outside and soft and warm on the inside. Parking is an issue as its a very small place yet very popular in the area — to me it’s worth the wait every time!

The pastelitos were tasty, but the ham croquetas are probably the best I’ve had in a long time.

Their pastelitos are jammed packed with filling ingredients. Not stingy on those pastelitos de queso, which are my favorites along with croquetas de Jamon. Yummy all around

Horrible service, food is old. you ask for the owner and he will never show his face. employees are very very rude. i ordered a tray of bocaditos and they gave me the ones they had on the refrigerator instead of giving me fresh ones(well i guess there were no fresh ones because all their food is old) this was for a school party they ended in the trash can. i called the bakery and ask for the owner one more time but he didnt want to come to the phone. if you dont want to get sick stay away from this place !!!

Avoid this place! Google the nearest VICKYBAKERY! and go to a clean cuban bakery! This place is a health risk and should be shut down. I contacted the health department! Roaches and employees sneezing on your food!

La Nueva Fe Bakery in Hialeah is the most delicious(Cuban) bakery in the history of the world! Ok, a little over-exaggeration never hurt anyone. Of course I’m bias. I have a strong connection with this bakery. It’s extremely personal. That’s all I’m gonna say. Los pastelitos de guajava and cheese are the best thing that will ever touch your tongue! REPEAT: Los pastelitos de guajava and cheese are the best thing that will ever touch your tongue! Buy a entire tray of them. The prices are affordable for fresh food and desserts. It really doesn’t get better than this.

A little far from where I was staying, worth the trip. True Cuban bakery. Got a sample of different sweets for a dinner later on(capuchinos, cuernos, tocinillo, señoritas, pudin de pan). We tried most of them and were delicious. Somebody ordered a «pan con bisteck», the aroma & the sandwich looked inviting. It’s also a cafeteria.

When I get to Miami the first place I go to is the Cuban Bakery! No joke! I don’t get to eat amazing pastelitos, Cuban Bread or these types of desserts back in New York so this is a super treat for me… When I tell you that this place has whatever you can ever dream off and freshly made of anything and everything I am not exaggerating… I have been to a lot of Miami/Hialeah bakeries in reach for the best and finally this place is my ultimate favorite!!! This is what I usually get: A box of: 6 Croquettes 4 pastelitos de carne 4 pastelitos de guajava 2 pastelitos de queso 1 slice flan 1 slice panetela borracha Total: $ 10.35 Really guys! You try topping that for incredible pastries and desserts! This is my Miami tradition and I will continue it forever :) Good Bakery Eats!

I am writing a review hoping to help those that are tired of those dried cuban pastelitos that u buy in the worse bakeries. This is the best pastelito place for parties you can ever buy! Trust me, there is no turning back once you buy these for your next party. The croquetas and bocaditos are like no other!
