Big Daddy Pizza

Very poor customer service. They sent a wrong pizza and was so rude about it. I was asked if «you don’t eat the one that is sent» I was shocked when I heard that. It’s not about what I eat but what I ordered. Very poor service.

THIEVES. I ordered an XL PIZZA and 2litter coke. Payed in advanced with CC. The guy did not bring the soda, promised to come back with it and never showed up. Real bad customer service. Even though I called for reimbursement, they keep hanging up the phone. Be careful.

Drunk Saturday cheat meal courtesy of grubhub. The fried raviolis ruled supreme. For the mac n’ cheese, they did this weird thing where they basically just melted cheese on top of elbow pasta. And the cheesy bread had no purpose other than making you wish it was pizza.
Would maybe try again with a different order.

I never write reviews. When I take time out to write a review, that means the food is amazingly good or it is exclusive. In this, case, food is both delicious & exclusive. You won’t find the varieties of pizza they have.
My friends at work wanted to eat this Pizza and we decided to order it for lunch. I was so tempted looking at the menu on the previous day, that I ordered a different type of pizza for dinner that night, and it very well went beyond my expectations. It was delivered right on time, and the customer service was good.

Deliciously Awesome 24″ pizza only available here other than Nyc. They have all Indian curry tasting speciality pizzas. Amazing pizza and Indian taste combination.

Amazing food, great service, and always have the freshest, best quality ingredients. I was definitely expecting just greasy fast food when I ordered from here, and was pleasantly surprised. My chicken salad had dark greens, instead of the typical iceberg lettuce that I was expecting, and their house made dressing is amazing! My whole office loves ordering from this place.

Wow! You’ve got to experience this yourself! I hardly ever give 5 stars (let alone get motivated to write a review) and here’s why…
Thai chilies cheese fries?! As unconventional as it sounds, its exactly what I didn’t expect! This dish itself is worth more than five stars in my opinion!
Let’s start off with the fries – they are thick-​cut fresh potatoes, not your typical pizza joint with the frozen breaded, oily mess… Yuck! The result? crispy ends, smothered with melted real cheese (not cheese wiz) and top off with fresh Thai chillies!
I’m a big huge fan of Thai food and chillies (plus I am ¹⁄₈ Thai) with that, I wish I had discovered this sooner! It’s a culinary master piece in my books! Definitely worth a try if you like spicy food, potatoes, cheese (or all of the above)!!
And then of course there wasthe pizza… I love pizza! I travel to NYC several times a year just to eat at my favorite pizza joints! The pie at Big Daddy’s is definitely unique! Especially with the unique selection of toppings. To say the least, the paneer tikka pizza I ordered had this amazing balance of flavors and felt light (as in not overly greasy) it’s what if expect at a mid-​end pizzeria. I had 3 slices as late dinner :)
Overall, I have to say that I am throughly impressed by the quality. AND how I come to realize that I can never fully trust poor reviews given by various users. (it’s a sad sad truth). I can attest to that and say that this pizza joint is my favorite in the area and rivals and BEST most pizza joints in D.C. Give it a try!

We completely stopped ordering here after the last couple of times. They managed to screw up even the simplest of things. One order came after TWO HOURS. The next time we ordered a Thai peanut chicken pizza, asked for extra sauce because the previous time we’d ordered it there was barely any… IT CAME WITH ABSOLUTELY NONE. How in the hell do you screw that up?! I’m sorry but that was the final straw and they’ve lost us as customers. I’m very sad because I loved them but it’s not worth it.

The pizza was decent but when we got there it took forever, even though we ordered ahead of time online. Don’t come here if you’re on a time crunch.

Blah food.
No fresh dough, the staff is extremely rude to customers, and they skimp on the more expensive ingredients (like cheese).
Look at their «not recommended» reviews. I’ve found those to be much more reliable and descriptive than what you see here.
The Indian fusion aspect makes this appealing at first, but I haven’t found anything on the menu (paneer, curry) worth raving about. If you’re going to make fusion, do it right. Look at the Indian Chinese places as an example and take lessons.
Stay away.

I just love this place. I love the curry pizzas they make. Paneer Tikka, Chicken Tikka, Spinach. Every curry pizza is awesome comes with indian pickle (achaar). Who would have thought curry pizzas would be so good. The fries tasted good too.

We have only tried the paneer pizzas that they have, and they are really good! Definitely recommend this place. I liked the crust too.

We order from them quite often. It’s the first pizza joint that I’ve heard of having indian toppings like paneer. We order from them because we have a team with vegetarians and Indians. Quality is about average when fresh, but subpar when the pizza has gone cold and needs to be reheated. Also, this past order I found a hair about 5 inches long baked into the crust.

Bought a living social deal to try out their pizzas since I would love to find a place I could have exciting pizzas like Mexican, Thai and a variety of Indian inspired pizzas. I know better than going to a place without checking Unilocal first, but I didn’t and thus missed the 1 star reviews that are SO true.
Went there at 12:30, the open sign was off, stuck my head in to find 1 employee behind the counter who I asked if they were open, he told me yes, I told him the open sign was off, he shrugged.
You know how when you go into a pizza place at lunchtime usually there are employees on the phone taking orders, folks in the back making pizza, folks prepping ingredients and the entire place is warm and has that great pizza dough and sauce smell? Yeah, no. It was DEAD. No one, but that one guy at the desk was there. No One. No one in the back, no pizza smells that indicate they had made pizza anytime recently, let alone anything cooking now in the middle of lunch hour, and I don’t think their ovens were even on since the place was quite cold.
I had looked at the menu online but seeing as how it was huge and a wide variety I asked him what their most popular items were. He seemed confused by this question. I explained it in a different way in case there was a language barrier (even though he spoke perfect English, although he was kinda young, so maybe it was that? although that really sounds dumb.) Then instead of answering, he picked up a menu to look at it. I worked in a variety of restaurants during highschool and for a few years after that. I can STILL tell anyone what most people ordered from each of those restaurants, and WHEN I worked there could definitely say not only what most people ordered, but what I thought was best and what my favorite was. He ended up answering «I don’t know, pizza? calzones? anything really.» Sign 1 their customer service is totally lacking.
I decided what I wanted, but wanted a couple extra toppings different, asked if I could, he said that shouldn’t be a problem, but that he’d have to ask his cook, who wasn’t here right now. I was confused. He had to call his cook, on the phone, to ask if his cook would come in because they had an order. Seriously.
So the cook comes in and looks beyond irritated and being asked to come in. The kid looks terrified and tries to explain what I asked and the cook proceeds to complain in this loud voice about the couple extra things I asked. It’s not like I didn’t expect to pay extra for the toppings or anything. Then he drags the kid into the back and continues to go off, not like I can’t still totally hear him yelling. Then he barges back in, where I’m sitting and still in a loud voice argues with me about the toppings not belonging on this pizza.
So we go back and forth about me asking for these toppings explaining I’ll pay, him saying they don’t belong and I inform him that most pizza places don’t judge what people put on their pizzas they just charge them for that and he has the toppings. He gets louder and louder like he’s trying to intimidate me. I really have never had a merchant treat me like that. Rude, aggressive, insulting.
Needless to say, I walked out of there without anything and happily returned my living social deal.

I am sometimes mystified when our experience is diametrically opposite to Unilocal scores. Either we were ravenously hungry or the chef must be missing his coffee on some days. Everything and everytime we ordered been top draw. Mumbai pav, tandoori paneer, wings all great. Am glad we catch them on the right day!

Those times where you wish Unilocal allowed negative star reviews… I wish.
If you want to deal with the worst customer service, and have a meh pizza — you found your spot. This spot exemplifies worst customer service at its finest.
I called Friday in hopes of a decent pizza with some wings. A guy answers who barely speaks english and I try to give him my order, after 2 minutes he says hold on and gives the phone to another person. This other person seems to speak english a bit better, and I start giving him my order. He constantly keeps stopping me and tells me to hold on [I am ordering a cheese pizza with wings — WTF]. Once he gets my order I tell him I have a Living Social deal that has expired, but I says I can still use the paid value of $ 10 dollars. He gets really upset and says we don’t deal with expired Living Social deals, I told him I understand, but just want to use the paid value which the voucher clearly states is good till 2019! He says the manager will get upset, and I ask him to speak to the manager — he says I AM THE MANAGER! (WTF #2)
He asks me to hold on a sec, puts the phone down and walks away. I can hear him screaming at employees (curse words, and calling them stupid for not knowing street numbers. (WTF #3)
I stay on hold for about 15 minutes, and no one comes back… dammit! (WTF #4)
I hang up and call back, the person who doesn’t speak english picks up again and tries to get my order. I told him nope, I want to talk to that guy again. He asks me to hold on for a few more minutes.
Finally, the guy comes on the phone and says he talked to the owner and will take $ 10 dollars off this time and not to let it happen again…(WTF #5)
I told him, what do you mean, and that this is the norm with Living Social… he says ‘Listen, don’t give me a hard time, I told you don’t let it happen again.(WTF #6)
He as pissed off, but finally he took off the 10 dollars and my bill was down to 13 and some change. He told me I’ll drop it to $ 12, just pay in cash. I said okay.
The delivery time was decent at about 45 minutes and pizza and wings arrived hot. The pizza was not bad, thin crust but overall meh at best. The wings were well cooked and spicy. I would have ordered wings again from this place, but the customer service ended the deal with me. These guys are rude, terrible on the phone and provide a level of service you would expect from a prison cafeteria employee. Thanks, but no thanks.
I am going to spend my money and time elsewhere, buyers beware, don’t try to use expired living social deals from these guys.

A few weeks back, I used a deal coupon. The pizza was ready when I got there (I got one of the Indian pizzas) holy mole! It was great! I highly recommend their Indian-​inspired pizzas; I have yet to try their other selections, but this was really good. We’ll be back!

I ordered from this place because they have gluten free pizzas, and my son has Celiac disease. The menu advertises a huge variety of pizzas, including Indian style pizzas. You don’t get Indian style pizzas anywhere within the Reston-​Herndon area
I ordered a) gluten free pizza b) Wings with hot sauce c) paneer poppers
The Gluten free pizza is adequate. It met the boy’s needs. The wings were nice and spicy, but too great. The Paneer poppers, OTH, are fabulous. They put herbs in the batter. Herbs in the batter. No one else has that
The non-​Indian items on the menu are ok. The Indian items on the menu have a huge variety, and also, in my last order, the Indian item was heads and shoulders above the rest. I am going to order more Indian items today
IMO, if you are expecting cheese laden Italian pizzas, you are going to be dissapointed. Think of this place as Indian fusion

Living social gave me a deal for this place. I’m not surprised since there’s a lot of negative reviews about this pad but I’ll never turn down a pizza deal unless it’s a chain place like Pizza Hut or Domino’s.
I got the Philly cheesesteak pizza which did not resemble a Philly cheesesteak. The peppers and onions were quite large and they added tomatoes. Plus not enough cheese. However it didn’t taste bad, actually surprising above average. Obviously I shouldn’t judge a book by it’s cover but I usually do for pizza since I’m an unforgiving snob about the kind of slices and pies I get.
If I’m in Herndon again I’ll have to check out their other pizzas. It’ll be hard though since they don’t deliver to Ashburn although they did mention they were opening an Ashburn location soon so I’ll be on the lookout for that.

Furious! My order was screwed up online. I was charged for the order, but after an hour and a half nothing came. I had to call the restaurant 4 times before I got an answer. When I inquired about the order he just said «I don’t have it». He refused to check into the order. He told me repeatedly to call the website. How does one do that? He made no to offer to help or fix the problem. He refused to offer a refund. I tried to re-​place the order with him and he said I would have to be charged again. He also said the lunch special I had ordered online was no longer offerwd and that he would not honor it.
I will be there momentarily to get my money back.
It used to be my favorite spot for pizza in Herndon. Proabably ordered from there 2 – 3 times a month in the past. Without a refund and an apology they will get no business from me again.
Follow up October 10^th– no apology 3 days later. Don’t trust this place. They don’t care. If they screw up they will take your money and run.
