only shopped here once so I can’t really comment on the prices verus other stores. Yet I don’t know if I’d ever go back. Something just rubbed me the wrong way. I do know there are better and bigger international stores in this area then this one. Guess locals keep it open but I agree its not the cleanest. The same store chain in falls church is bigger and better managed. I still find it the best place to get meat and seafood and I’m still alive.

I agree this place is not spic and span. Unless you’re looking for hardcore Latino grocery staples, you should probably skip this place entirely. The international Fresh World down the street is cleaner, cheaper and has lots more variety. Service is kinda lacking here too. Yet for some reason that eludes me this store is super popular with the Hispanic population.

This market has by-far the best bang-for-buck deals. The seafood department is fresh and has a wide selection. I can’t get enough of their assortment of fresh fruit and veggies! SOCHEAP! I love this place, not only for the sheer quantity of stuff I need but for the quality! love!

This place is just disgusting. Health department should come check this place out. I refuse to buy any groceries in here after I made a quick stop to the restroom. Aside from how utterly filthy the restrooms are, the store smells like fish. They do serve fresh fish, but the smell is just overwhelming. I saw a sign that said $ 1.99/lb for live crabs and I found that to be a deal but I can’t imagine buying anything in this store.

I go to the Bestway in Mount Pleasant so much that I figured I’d check out the one in Herndon, since I spend half my time out here in Reston. Besides, I needed Herdez Salsa Taquera and they don’t sell it anywhere else. Everything is much more expensive at this Herndon location than at the Mount Pleasant location. Ground beef is 1.99 a pound instead of 99 cents a pound, and given how sketched out I am by the fact that they sell the stuff for 99 cents a pound, I don’t think I’m willing to take the risk for 1.99. The veggies are all more expensive, and, as usual, the regular grocery items are pretty pricey. For latin ingredients, the place is predictably great, but for a regular shopping trip, no way.
