This place is super delicious! The dosas are giant and are absolutely amazing! Love their lentil soup as well. Mango lassi was also very good. Service is quick, even during lunch and super friendly. Prices are very reasonable. Can’t wait to return!

Great price for the quality food you get. Also for the quantity of food you receive. I always get the Balaji Thali. This lasts me two meals. So many little side dishes. The red pickle the give is quite spicy. The vegetable dishes change and I am not always sure of the dish or the vegetable but they are always superb. If you love vegetarian Indian cuisine, trust the chefs and order the Thali. Could definitely be shared by two people for a lunch or dinner. My favorite Indian place in the area by far. It is hidden away next to Amphora Bakery and simply perfect.

Fabulous South Indian menu items. Rava dosa was the hubby’s favorite. Masala dosa was good too. Priced appropriately and staff is very helpful and friendly though the gal at the counter saw me struggle with the menu board(forgot my distance glasses at home!) but took her time to hand out the printed menu(she apparently had just 1 copy). I would gladly be a repeat customer.

Tried the pav bhaji here, it was extremely tangy to the point that it was getting difficult to eat it. But still will give this restaurant another shot because of other positive reviews.

I have tried the thali, dosas, chats etc and generally have been pleased. Most recently I tried their veg fried rice and it was somewhat disappointing. It just seemed to be long grain rice in chili sauce with a bit of frozen mixed vegetables thrown in. Didn’t pack much flavor.

Fast, flavorful food at a great price. Tried the veg samosa and sambar… both were fresh and hot with delicious sauces to compliment each. Portions were generous. I would definitely be a regular if I lived in the area.

Food is tasty but gave less quantity. I had Veg Manchurian. Many people gave 4 – 5 stars but it deserves 3 stars.

Very friendly service and delicious vegetable Manchurian. The girl asked me how spicy I wanted it — my response was, «Medium,» and it was perfectly on point. If I lived in the area I would eat there all the time!

Over Rated not very authentic home food. Sorry, if you would like to experience like a true South Indian place this place might disappoint you.

My experience at Balaji café was fantastic. I wanted solid, authentic Southern Indian food and I got it. I ordered the thali platter and asked for it to be extra spicy. The meal was delicious, plentiful, and spicy(though not super spicy — it could actually have been spicier). The service was quick and the staff were super nice. I’ll definitely go back and try the dishes that other reviewers recommended.

Balaji Café is my go to traditional Indian Diner. I tried their aloo paranthas and hakka noodles. Tasted pretty delicious. The service is quick, the prices are affordable, and the portions offered are phenomenal. I got the hakka noodles customized for the extra spice level that I like and they did it to perfection. My cravings for a lot of indian stuff get fulfilled here.

We came here based on the reviews — we were not disappointed — really good Hakka noodles and vegetable Manchurian; bhelpuri and we had a mango lassi, masala chai and coffee. It was great value for money — the food was excellent and the owner was extremely friendly and gracious. Thanks for a wonderful experience

When I came in spoke with the owner, Mel, he made me very welcome indeed! I hadn’t been in the mood actually got Indian vegetarian food, I thought well why not. He gave a menu a told me if I had any questions just ask. Let me just say that the vegetarian thali is superb… I never had a baby samosa before! What a treat! Oh, you absolutely owe it to yourself to come in and enjoy this place. Simple in design and atmosphere, true to its place as a «café» but very comfortable, you will not regret it!

Great new restaurant with excellent food and amazing prices. My girlfriend and I ate dinner here tonight and couldn’t be happier with our choice. The Vegetable Manchurian was absolutely incredible! It’s literally one of those dishes that you know you’ll come back and order every time you visit. We also ordered the Vegetable Fried Rice and the Pav Bhaji, both of which were excellent. The Pav Bhaji came with a butter toasted bun that tasted perfect and was great as an appetizer. Once we finished the buns we had the rest of the Pav Bhaji with the rice and the combination couldn’t have been better. We ordered all our dishes spicy and it was the perfect amount of spice, not too mild, and not too hot. Make sure you try the Mango Lassi also, it’s really good and a great compliment if you like your food spicy like us. The location is really nice with plenty of parking. We will both be regulars here for sure. The quality of food is top notch and the prices are very affordable. We couldn’t ask for more with our experience here tonight. On our way out another customer who was still eating said to my gf «isn’t it delicious?», her response was«soooo delicious!!». Glad we found this place and can’t wait to go back and try out more dishes.
