The price was right, nothing was outright bad, but it wasn’t perfect. I’ll try it again, but with so many Chinese food restaurants around if the dumplings come in like that again I’ll probably move on. I’m going with a four star rating with the assumption that the dumplings were a fluke and that everything else showed that this food is above average. If I could, I’d do 3.75 Stars — not quite great, but willing to come back to. Thank you for having an EXCELLENT order platform online. Going through this was easy and is one of the primary reasons I will come back — the easier it is to order the more likely I am to do it again! One issue: I did not get an order confirmation and delivery took about an hour, so I got nervous and called. I completely understand getting backed up and was not upset about the time, plus the food came warm, but the lack of a confirmation email made me think the order got lost! Generally, the food was good. Here’s a few specific comments: — Steamed Dumplings: Let me start out with the bad, the dumpling meat was harder than I’m used to, almost rubbery, and the dumplings themselves were gooey. This is an odd combination, and I love my dumplings. I might try it again, but if this is how they usually are I’ll skip it going forward. Disappointing. — General Tsao’s Chicken: It tasted great, and I really didn’t want to stop eating it. Like my usual problem though, it simply wasn’t spicy enough. I even wrote«extra spicy» in the notes on the ordering box. I don’t know if that simply wasn’t seen or if «extra spicy» isn’t explicit enough. I’d order it again, but I need to figure out the right way to ask for this to be truly spicy. — Soup: My wife got the noodle soup — the broth was perfect for her cold and raw throat, that’s definitely on our«order again» list. — Spare Ribs: These were amazing. I haven’t hard spare ribs in damn near 20 years and these hit the spot, both in my stomach and nostalgically.

If you live in the area or are in a local hotel looking for delivery Asian, this is the place to go. Asian Garden is basically a Chinese restaurant – the ownership is Chinese American – that produces a few well-prepared Thai dishes as well. The menu has some retro Chinese-American touches like egg foo young as well as the British-Chinese dishes like fried beef in spicy-sweet sauce which is delicious and surprisingly hard to find on American menus.(NB: It’s awful for you.) The food is pretty consistent and is well adapted to modern tastes. Chicken dishes, for example, are available with white meat. They also offer some good online specials including free entrees with decent-sized orders. The place is a bargain at lunch where small portions of most dishes – including rice and a veggie spring roll(which they call«egg rolls») goes for about $ 7. Dinner, where most entrees are in the $ 8-$ 12 range is less of a bargain but still pretty good. This is certainly a restaurant adapted to American tastes, there’s no pretense of authenticity and, while the menu is long, there’s little that’s really interesting. The small dining room is a pleasant — enough place to eat and delivery/pickup are speedy and efficient. Not worth a special trip but more than serviceable if you’re in the area already or want a Chinese food fix near Dulles airport.

I got the Singapore noodles with shrimp, chicken and beef and two spring rolls. All excellent, generous portions, and priced very reasonably. Lots of restaurants to choose from in the area but this one is the best.

Great Chinese food and fast delivery! This is our new go-to for Chinese delivery. We have had the Kung Pao, General Tsaos, and the Singapore Noodles — all are excellent, prepared the same every time, and delivered hot. Friendly service on the phone too.

I’ve eaten in here a lot and it has always been good. I drive past this place on the way home from one of my kid’s activities and we drop in a lot for dinner. The food has always been great, service is always excellent and I enjoy the tv on the wall. The place is always very clean and brightly lit. My favorite here so far is the Sesame Chicken. And I like the cooler full of drinks where I can get a bottle of Coke to enjoy with my meal and take home if I don’t finish it. You order at the counter but then grab a table and everything will be brought to you.

This place suits my family well. The young chow fried rice(light fried rice) is my favorite. I also really like the pork with handmade noodle soup. Kids are always excited when we have it for dinner. Sesame chicken, pad Thai, beef and broccoli — all are ok by us. But … Yeah… Those are spring rolls, not egg rolls…

Asian Garden is great for lunch. Their delivery is quick and the gentleman who always delivers to us is very friendly. Prices are reasonable and their online ordering is great! We’ll be eating here a few times a month for sure. Food quality is not always consistent. When it’s great, it’s great. When it’s not so great, it’s still average.

I really like this place. Chinese restaurants are a dime a dozen but a few things makes this place stand out. Like everyone says its very clean and the decors very nice. Ive only ever seen 2 women that work there but they’re extremely friendly. The big difference here is that they do also offer a pretty good thai menu in addition to the chinese food. I’ve had the thai basil chicken and thai fried rice which were both good, especially the rice. The lunch specials are good, the entrees come with fried rice and a spring roll. Their kungpao is excellent. I wish I could give it a 4.5 bc for what it is, its fantastic. It isnt a one of a kind, high end place with fancy dishes and exotic cuisine, and it doesnt pretend to be. Great service and food, I reccomend this place if you’re looking for chinese in Herndon.

Poor quality & over priced. I was working near here and decided to stop in for lunch. I had the seafood combo, it was tastless and terrible. Plus I got charged $ 15 bucks. I don’t see how this place can stay in business.

I’ve been to this restaurant two times now, both times for pick-up during lunch. As everyone else has already said, this place is super clean. The first time I came in it was at kind of an off time(around 2pm) and there was no one in the place. The restaurant is small, quaint and really quiet. The woman working the front counter was friendly and my food was done within 15 minutes. The Beef Noodle Soup(with homemade noodles) was fantastic 10⁄10. The meat was tender and the broth was excellent. I’d say it’s almost as good if not better than Super Phở next door. I highly recommend it. I also had their Kung Pao Chicken Lunch Special which comes with fried rice(I opted for white) and an egg roll(which really is a spring roll). The spring roll was alright, nothing special. The Kung Pao chicken was pretty good, 8⁄10. I also ordered their Szechuan Beef and it was alright as well, albeit not as good as the Kung Pao. It could have been the fact that I reheated it for later but I’d still give it a solid 7⁄10.

Stopped in for lunch. The waitress was pleasant, but I would have eaten more quickly if I’d just brought the ingredients and a wok to work. Wok-a wok-a wok-a! Szechuan beef was ok, but I’ll try something different if I decide to give them a second chance.

This place is good. We had never been and after reading the reviews, decided to give it a try. Got a couple spring rolls, an order of wonton soup, and chicken pad thai. Steven got general tso’s chicken and fried rice. The spring rolls were as good as anywhere. Crisp and hot. The wonton soup was good. Given, I have nothing to base the quality on. But I liked it. The broth had good flavor and the dumplings were good. The pad thai was not the best I’ve ever had, but I wasn’t exactly expecting that. It had good flavor and the noodles were good(well cooked, not tough and not mush). Overall, a pretty decent pad thai for a place that doesn’t specialize in it. Steven enjoyed his general tso’s, saying it was about as good as any(less expensive) place you’d get it. He also agreed with most of the people on here and said the fried rice was pretty unimpressive(but not SO terrible). Overall, we enjoyed this place and it is a bit more convenient than our usual place(though the portions are a lot smaller).

Very tasty. They deliver which is awesome! A great choice for those lazy I don’t wanna cook days. Lots of flavor with every dish ordered. I’ve ordered at other places and had problems with delivery guys locating my place. These guys brought my food right to my apartment. They get major points for that. After working long hours, the last thing I need to do is leave the comfy confines of my apartment. You can’t go wrong if you try this place. The appetizers are excellent, and the dinner portions are huge! Never been to the restaurant, but with all the convenience of delivery, I may never have to.

Quaint little restaurant tucked away on the side of shopping center. As other reviews have noted, exceptionally clean. Very friendly hostess at the front counter. I came in on a Sunday around 7 and the place was pretty much empty. Food was out in less than 20 minutes. As a chronic chinese food addict, I can say that their combination fried rice and chicken & broccoli are excellent! I felt, for a brier moment, as if I were a Chinese emperor consuming the ambrosia of the gods. Very tasty, much recommend. Wow.

My and family and I had delivery from here. The Kung Pao was the freshest I’ve had(shrimp, chicken, beef, and veggies combo). My wife’s ordered the Seafood Noodle Soup(homemade noodles) which she absolutely loved. I will definitely order from here when I am in Reston. Other good thing was they delivered to Reston even though they were not that close. Great experience overall.

The food: Kung Pow Chicken lunch special. Came with a spring roll which was very good and fried rice which was not worth the calories. The Kung Pow itself was the right amount of heat on the back end which I really like. The chicken was tender and the peanuts were crunchy. It was delicious! Portions were perfect for lunch, too. Not too much food, just the right amount for a sitting. I would order it again. Fried Rice — Terrible. It was white rice with soy sauce. No veggies, egg, or anything. There was literally a crumb of an egg piece and a corner of a piece of onion as if they made their way into the dish by accident. To be fair, it may be just the lunch special that they do the rice this way but if it’s a preview of a full order of fried rice, then skip it. Not worth it. Not even good. And if ordering a lunch special, you’re better off asking for plain white or brown rice. Singapore Rice Noodles w/Chicken & Shrimp — O.M.G. DELICIOUS! Definitely the place to get this dish. Shrimp was perfectly cooked. I took it home and ate it the next day after heating in the microwave and it did not phase the shrimp. It was just sooo good! Great heat level, too, that did not overpower the amazing flavor. This is how it’s done. Winner, winner, winner. Szechuan Green Beans & Beef — AMAZING. Eat with a tissue because you will cry it is so good… and spicy!!! Beans were cooked but crunchy and there were a lot of ‘em! The beef was tender and tasty but less prevalent in the dish. Honestly, the flavor was so good that I did not notice it too much however if you like to go heavy on the meats, then you may want to ask for extra beef. Definitely ordering this again! The place: Very clean place, super nice staff. Really quiet. Too quiet. No music at all. It seemed like an empty school cafeteria. Definitely a lunch and leave kind of place. If you dine alone, which is what I did, the only sounds you will hear are those of other people ordering their food to go. The rating: I rated it four stars because there was no music and the fried rice is really just a joke. Definitely go here. Order take out here. The food is really very good!

Decided to get Chinese today. This place is a bit small, but it’s clean. The food was surprisingly good. It’s kind of hidden on the side of this shopping center. The price was decent. Plating of the dishes were nice. I would definitely recommend this place. No complaints from me!

We found this place on Unilocal and decided to pick up dinner on the way home. Maybe eating in is a better choice. The crispy beef had an odd aftertaste of cornstarch, like the crispy didn’t take but the taste of the dredging did. A plus was that the dish included a nice ratio of beef to veggies. The udon noodles with chicken were okay, but way too salty. Egg rolls(spring rolls?) were delicious! Food was meh, and it didn’t sway us to add it to our must-list.

Its nice and clean when you walk in so thats a plus. I dont like that they have crispy noodles in a bowl by the register… kinda of like spooning out mints… Anyways, I got the chicken chow mein and it was not like a chow mein I have had before… looked fresh for sure but it really didn’t have flavor and thats after I poured soy on it. The egg roll was decent, nothing spectacular but not bad. The fried rice was hard and the only flavor was soy and extra salty. not edible really. The steamed dumplings were okay but again no real flavor… most of the food didnt get eaten so maybe thats a good thing on the calorie intake… I feel like the best thing I got out of this meal was a few reusable containers. The service was friendly enough but am on the fence if I would try it again down the line.
