Probably one of the poorest places to eat in Hermiston. Flies where noticeable but overall a clean place. Waitstaff was friendly. Ordered a basic breakfast one egg sausage and French toast. Not sure if the cook even knew what scrambled eggs where but they looked like leftovers from someone else’s omelet, the eggs were flat triangle pieces. In other words don’t order eggs here go to Denny’s that’s five minutes south on 395. The other order at the table was a bacon cheese burger. Fries looked excellent and tasted crisp and cooked. Burger was cooked nicely no complaints about having lunch at breakfast time. Overall you can get better food through a McDonald’s drive through and that’s if you get the correct order. Save your time and money you can get better food for $ 20

Came here with a friend because Denny’s was packed on a Thursday night for some reason. Waited so long for someone to take our order that my ice had melted. It was not busy. Ended up leaving and doubt they noticed. I’ve been coming here since I was a child. Breakfast service was always best, not sure how it is now. A good business will innovate and market to stay competitive overtime. They haven’t been doing that. They don’t offer better value or better price. Anyway, went back to Denny’s, was seated right away and order taken within two minutes. Their menu is visually exciting and a decad ahead of Shari’s.

Very very very annoyingly slow. Took us 1 whole hour for the four of us to get our orders. Food is not to our satisfaction to say the least. Your money will be much better spent elsewhere. We were only here because we forgot that Walker’s doesn’t open for dinner on Tuesdays. Won’t be back again.

Not great but not bad. Just Ok. But at least they are consistent, have clean bathrooms, and a friendly wait staff. But the food is just ok and they are kind of showso i give them a star rating.

Ordered Eggs Benedict. Whoever is behind the grill, cannot really call them a cook, was completely useless at making a poached egg. Sent back twice for very undercooked eggs. Finally had to settle for over medium. Hollandaise is not a gravy, or what ever it is slipped on top. When it finally came out it was completely inedible. Waitress was slow. By far one of the worst meals ever tried. Should have been the last Sharis.

After a positive first experience, we decided to go for lunch on veterans day. The waitress was terrible, we must of been a bother. We left after a half hour of being there without getting a chance to put in our order. She seemed so upset that our 2 yr old daughter took a min to decide on a drink, that she couldn’t wait. Humm, a waitress that can’t wait. Never even got drinks. Won’t be back, we’ll go to Denny’s instead.

Our family of four(2adults, 5&2.5 yr old) decided to stop in for Veteran’s Day lunch(my husband being a veteran & having served in Afghanistan). Upon arriving we waited patiently for the hostess to seat us. We followed her to a booth in the back of the restaurant where we continued to wait for over 10 mins before Raegan, our clearly inconvenienced waitress, came to ask us for our orders. She quickly excused herself from our table to «enter another order» when my daughter aparently took too long to decide on her drink. Nearly 5 mins after walking away from the register we didn’t see her again. Over 30 mins after our arrival & we were never served; we realize now that we made a BIGMISTAKE coming to Sheri’s and will NOT be returning!

Went to sherry tonight waitress was very sweet I know she was giving to cook or order he had an attitude with the way that I wanted my food he got pissed off and would throw plates and then made my food wrong when she finally came back with my hash browns and my toast after her having to ask the cook for a clean plate he got mad again and through another plate so when she brought over my food I told her forget it I wasn’t going to eat it and that she needed to let her cook know that his attitude can be seen by the customers very unprofessional and by the way the cooks name is Ruben I will never eat at sherry in Hermiston Oregon again

Free Wi-Fi was not working. Restaurant was freezing cold. Meal took over an hour to arrive when the restaurant was not busy. The food was served on a dirty plate. When food finally arrived, it was horribly overcooked. The waitress was very sweet and kind. She offered to have it re-made and we accepted. 15 minutes later the manager(who was also very nice) came over and apologized to us, explained she would not charge us for our food(that we didn’t eat) and offered to sell us a pie. I asked for Lemon Meringue, and was told that they were out of them. We left without eating and no pie. This is the second such experience we have had at Shari’s like this. Last time my family each received their meals and I wasn’t served at all. When the waitress finally did return I asked for my food, she took another 15 minutes to find it and finally brought it in time for us to be ready to leave. I asked to have the price taken off the ticket since we were leaving without me eating, and she didn’t want to she only wanted to box it up to send it home with me.

I have been here so many times with my mother and grandmother and a few friends or family members! The food was excellent as is most Shari’s cuisine. I have received much better service at other Shari’s Restaurants though. The waitresses were very slow to check in on us even if the restaurant was not busy. We would have empty drink glasses often.

I really enjoy their apple pie. Usual the staff is very nice and attentive sometimes there will be a day and you seem to get somebody whose having a bad day and doesn’t really check in to see how your doing. I like the food here. They have good burgers.

I was so disappointed in this place as it was reviewed fairly well. I had the salmon on a cedar plank and it was just okay. The pilaf rice was a spoonful of mush and the green bean, carrot, cauliflower side had zero seasoning. What I didn’t understand was why it was served with tartar sauce and fried pita slices. My date had the T-bone steak ordered medium, but it was overcooked and tough. He was considering sending it back, however our server failed to check in with us. We had empty drink cups and another server came over to refill our drinks. We stopped in on an early Sunday evening so it wasn’t crowded and the staff even had time to clean under the booths by removing the cushions, but they weren’t very attentive to our needs. We won’t be eating here again, and if it wasn’t a chain, I would recommend a Robert Irvine makeover on Restaurant Impossible.

Did you know that this is the first Shari’s Restaurant? I didn’t until I went to the Sacramento one and I read the story behind their restaurant. We went to the Hermison, OR location in June of 2013, I’m just really late with regards to reviewing it. For starters, I was traveling with my then-fiancé who is a commercial truck driver. We had a load to deliver at the Walmart DC up there and needed to find somewhere to eat REAL food that was«truck-friendly.» Luckily, Shari’s has a huge parking lot and we were able to take up a few spots, it was a light evening so we weren’t taking up anybody’s prime spots. :-) I had been to Shari’s in Sacramento but my driver had not. He was surprised at how this wasn’t just«diner» food. He was hooked. The service was great, the food, great quality… what else can you ask for after you’ve been on the road for over a week!!! We ended up driving around Hermiston and since we were there the next day as well, we went to other shops/eateries and we determined that the people of Hermiston are pretty awesome. It’s a town I’d like to live in, except I guess they get snow there? A Cali girl has no business being in snow. I cant’ wait to visit Hermiston and the great people at Shari’s again. :-)

Pie is always good but tonight the sautéd mushrooms seemed warmed and pulled off as if in a hurry. Service was great! Thanks for the great service Susie! Price is affordable and atmosphere is standard for a Sheri’s.

Surprised that there is no review yet for Shari’s. It’s been around a long time, and still is a great place for a nice meal. We ate here this morning, and my experience was typical of many times I’ve been at Shari’s. We were seated at a booth very soon after entering. the menu is easy to read, lots of pictures, lots of good deals. The wait staff was pleasant and attentive. The food and drink quite good. The surroundings are clean, comfortable, with a fair amount of elbow room. We each ordered a meal that included half a sandwich, soup or salad, and a slice of pie, all for $ 7.99. We upgraded the sandwiches to full size, adding $ 1.99 to each meal. I had a «Grown Up Grilled Cheese» sandwich, with Italian Wedding soup(sausage, lentils, spinach), and a slice of «Burst of Berry» pie(marionberry, blueberry, and blackberry), with a tall glass of mango-flavored lemonade. It was all very good. My wife had a pastrami pannini sandwich, loaded potato soup, and a slice of pecan cheese cake pie, with a soda. We switched halves of each sandwich. Her pannini was EXCELLENT! I liked the grilled cheese(featured cream cheese and sliced tomato), but the pastrami sandwich was very tasty. The Italian Wedding soup was good, but I much prefer the loaded potato soup(baked potato with all the trimmings, made into a soup!) Just a few small disappointments. Although pleasant enough, the wait staff seemed just a bit distant, as if waiting on people were not their absolute favorite thing to do. I really like to be treated special when I eat out. I like to see big smiles and friendly banter and frequent checks. The wait staff was just fine, but not extra special. The food seemed to take longer than usual this morning, although it’s never been very quick. It didn’t seem to me that there was a huge crowd, so no obvious reason why service would be slow. Otherwise, a good lunch and a good place to go anytime.
