Stock and prices typical of any «dollar» discount store. Three store employees followed me about as shopped until asked why. They then scattered. (I was wearing LL Bean, head-​to-​toe and have good personal hygiene. Though I am darkly complected.) Checking out, I paid with my debit card and selected «cash back.» Not only was I charged an unposted 10% service fee, the clerk left her cash drawer open and didn’t give my shrunken cash back. Only upon demanding my money was I given it. Upon which both the cashier and her hovering manager’s faces fell.
There are many excellent discount stores in the area. There’s no need to shop at one that’s as unpleasant and as dodgy as Herkimer’s Dollar Tree.
