Personal story: I was definitely intimidated coming to my first class of CORE. I knew before hand that they used weights and the workouts definitely looked intense to what I’m used to. Instead of giving into that intimidation I walked into the gym with a free mind, and was going to accept any workout that was thrown at me. My first day was amazing, I never knew that my little arms and my body could do half the movements that were listed for the day’s workout. Let alone do movements with a weight heavier than I am. The Coaches here are wonderful! They are all friendly and extremely knowledgeable when it comes to fitness, weight lifting techniques, and how to not injure yourself in the process. They are extremely patient and work with you and your body’s capabilities. Like i said.. weights are used. But don’t let that scare you. I was not too fond of heavy weights before either. But with my first CORE class, I picked up that heavy weight and actually performed a movement with it(Hang Clean). I Felt awesome(HEHE)! Especially because I have always doubted myself and how strong my body can be. The workout atmosphere here is amazing. Everyone around you is basically working towards the same goal. So everyone is either helping/cheering each other on to help you get through the workout. The age group varies from teens — seniors. Yes, seniors. I’ve seen some older men and women front squat weights heavier than I am. To sum this long review up: –Fun and intense workouts –Excellent workout environment –Friendly/Motivational/knowledgeable Coaches –Age does not matter, everyone can join –Workouts can be modified to YOUR body’s capabilities Show up to a class, & Core will take of you.
