Have to eat here every time we’re in Rochester! Country Sweet Chicken pizza is to die for! Steak wedge salad is another of my favorites. Check them out!

I have been here 3 times over the past few months. Wait staff is always friendly and attentive. Prices are reasonable and food is fresh and tasty. The place is very clean with a nice dining area. An added plus for dog owners is an outside seating area that allows well behaved pups.

First impession of this restaurant is that it was very clean and tastefully decorated. The gas fireplace in the center of the restaurant added a cozy feeling. We ordered typical American cuisine and were served superior tasting food. Our server was attentive and professional. Considering that it is a nice sit atmosphere the food was served quickly and was done perfectly. It was also some of the tastiest food I’ve had in quite some time. We are already planning to return and introduce this gem to family and friends.

Wanted to just love this location but was a little disappointed. I do love the overall location & interior. Simple parking, Bar area is decent size with great juke box, beer/drink choices and friendly staff. This review is for the dining room. Location is warm and cozy and love the fireplace. They have several high tables that can accommodate large parties. The smaller tables for 2 are a little cramped along the front window where we were seated. Came in on a Friday night and made a reservation concerned that there would be a wait. 6pm there was no wait and they sat us down immediately. They have a great drink menu with numerous tasty choices. We got the chips and dip which is a large portion for $ 6. House made wavy chips — they don’t appear made to order but were crispy and went well with the French onion dip which tastes like sour cream and onion soup mix — average but great bar snack. The chicken tenders are listed in the appetizer section but are definitely meal size and include full side of fries. The chicken tenders are listed as fresh and house made — the batter/chicken had minimal seasoning and I was so disappointed because they looked so good! The fries are battered like Burger King — not really my favorite. My husband loved the honey mustard which I thought was similar to honey mustard vinaigrette. I was also not a fan of the hot buffalo sauce which was thin, not buttery or spicy. My husband had the Fireside Grind which was a 10oz burger with Caramelized onions and $ 0.50 cents for cheese. He subbed the fries for onion rings $ 2 up-charge. The burger was ordered medium rare but was made medium well. The burger continued the theme of minimal seasoning for the night but the onions were great! The Onion rings weren’t house made but were crispy and tasty to similar to the Distillery. The beer battered fish fry also looked much better than it was. Very large portion of fish which wasn’t greasy and was perfectly crispy but again — No Seasoning! Minimal beer flavor in the batter and the fish had no flavor. The tartar sauce tasted like homemade with sweet relish which I just wasn’t a fan of. I subbed the fries for the Long Island chowder for $ 2 additional. Long island clam chowder is a mix of Manhattan and New England which I actually googled because I had no idea. The chowder was also under seasoned but was okay after a little salt and pepper, but was half potatoes. Cole slaw was okay, not sweet and heavy on the vinegar. Overall the food was average, service was very nice/friendly. Bar and Location is cute and cozy.

I have been coming here a number of times as this establishment is right down the street from where my parents live. When I first started coming here I was impressed with the food and service. That is no longer the case. My parents had the Reuben and the word«tasteless» was used. Their wine pours are very short considering the price. After a year of coming here I have said the same thing over and over, Fireside is good for three things«wings, beer and darts». This statement still remains true. If you like beer and wings, they have a nice selection to choose from and are somewhat reasonably priced. No one used the dart board so my buddies and I were always able to play. The bar selection is not bad but the food is less than desirable and the staff seems to always be changing. It’s a shame a local establishment is failing in so many important aspects*. *Coming from someone who has worked in the hospitality business for 5 years.

Fireside is no where near a 4 or 5 star choice, no way. I give the restaurant 2 stars for clean bathrooms and an excellent fresh salad. The ranch dressing here is also delicious. Other than that, we head far south. Ordered the Louisiana burger which was just hot sauce dumped on a burger. I couldn’t taste the onions on it. Homemade chips were cold and bland(why is everyone serving homemade cold chips?) Root Beer had bad flavor to it as well. Not expensive, but would not return.

Awesome hidden gem! Half is set up as a sports bar and the other half is a restaurant. Went with some friends for lunch and the service was fast and food was delicious! We were at high top table right in front of a nice fireplace. Everyone’s lunch looked delicious I got a steak and slaw wrap with blue cheese crumbles and bacon… YUM! I mean it was awesome wrapped in awesomeness! They also make their own chips that are out of this world! Highly recommend stopping by!

We selected this place for a Saturday night dinner after my daughter’s dance recital. There are two entrance doors, one for the bar and one for the restaurant. We did go to the restaurant side and found a rustic décor with a functioning fireplace and two good size dining rooms. The restaurant was quite busy but we still were seated immediately. The waiting staff was excellent. The menu is that of a sports bar, a lot of sandwiches, wings, etc., but also a limited selection of salads, soups, and a great daily special menu. I selected a Kung Pao Calamari dish as an appetizer from the regular menu and a Salmon Shrimp dish from the daily specials. My wife had a Mango Dinner Salad and a French Onion Soup. My daughter had a great Chicken wrap. The food was excellent — much better than I would have expected, so much so that we will definitively return. One word of caution — the kitchen was certainly not prepared for the crowds. They kept turning out great food, but not in a timely manner. Our waitress kept checking and apologizing. My wife’s soup arrived after her dinner salad. At that time both my daughter and I already had both appetizers and entrees. Bring time with you and don’t be starving walking. The food is worth it, but the wait was not what we are used to.

This place is great! Can go if you’re in the mood for a more upscale dinner or just a burger. Staff is always very friendly. Even when there’s a long predicted wait time they get you to a table quickly. My favorite part is the daily menus, which means even though I have some favorites on the original menu there’s always something new to choose from. One negative I have is that their clam chowder is very thick and too sweet — but that may just be me! Love the French onion soup though :)

I wanted to wait on writing this review until I gave this place a second go. First trip– I went with a co-worker just to check it out. It was a Friday at lunch time and the dining room seemed a little too busy for our lunch break so we opted to sit at the bar. We sat at a high pub table and both of us order the french onion soup with the bartender-server. The soup arrived in 6 minutes! Our bartender-server was attentive. Second trip– I went with another co-worker on a Tuesday. This time we decided to call ahead. I ordered the calamari salad and she ordered the steak wedge salad. We arrived and asked for Shannon who took our order. Turns out she was the bartender-served and she had already set us up at a high pub table. She took our drink orders and said our salads would be right out. We also decided to split some fries and they came out super fast as well. The Calamari salad was just okay. No complaints about the salad itself, but rather the calamari. It was the frozen chewy rings(see photo). I was disappointed by that aspect, but now I know for next time. The low-down on the Steak Wedge salad was that it was good! Steak was cooked to her specifications as well. Lastly, Fries were yummy! Shannon our bartender-server was very fast and attentive. She noticed us taking photos and asked about it. We told her we would be Unilocaling about our experience! So, this is me, delivering as promised. We’ll be back! Quick note– There is a beautiful fireplace in the dining room, but I have yet to see it lit. Can’t wait…

OK well when it comes to eating at more bar and grill places my fiancée and I always judge by the nachos. I know sounds ridiculous. Well really surprised. Great combo of flavors, melted cheese throughout, plenty of veg. I will ask for more jalapeños next time. Very good. I got the beef tenderloin sandwich, my girl got the Turkey Reuben. Both were great. Fresh bread and fresh homemade chips. We sat at the bar and bartender was great friendly and efficient. Tho nachos did take a while but we were hungry and its all relative. We looked in on dining room, good crowd for a Tues nite. The fireplace was great. We both thought that color scheme was a bit off. Either more pictures or earthier paint tones, but not bad just not REALLY cozy. The food and service were really good for what we were expecting. Our usual go to place is the Cottage Hotel in Mendon but we went here for something new and were greatly surprised. So we will go back to check it out again. I forgot, we almost always eat at the bar and can observe a place better.

Just arrived today and woke up from a seven hour sleep after traveling. The loss of hours was not kind. Craving a burger and did not want to track far. Found this place on Unilocal and they were not too far from where we are staying. Took a bit to find something we wanted on the menu. My boyfriend got the classic burger and I got the fireside which was brisket and burger mix. It was not bad. A little over cooked– medium well to well instead of medium. But that was okay. The flavors were good and then fries were crisp. Prices weren’t listed correctly but it wasn’t bad. Melanie was our waitress and she was awesome. Great personally and cheerful disposition. They also have a sports bar connected to them for the late night crowd.

Good stuff. We went here because we knew it was dog-friendly. The food was good, the exterior seating was reasonably comfortable, and they treated my dog like an honored guest, which was fun. There’s even a menu just for dogs; we got her some grilled chicken breast and she felt that was just the greatest thing that had ever happened to her.(I mean, don’t get me wrong, she’s a dog; that’s not an uncommon reaction to food. Still.) I have to take off one star because once we wanted to get, and then pay, our check, our server straight-up vanished; I wound up having to track down a manager in the kitchen in order to pay. It was out of character for the service we’d been receiving up to that point, so I’m not overly stressed about it, but it impedes perfection.

This place is awesome! I went on a Tuesday afternoon so I could check it out for my bday. #1 The waitress was fantastic. I was unsure what cider I wanted so she brought me samples. She also went over the menu with me and helped me make a decision on what to get. I got the Jerry Sr sandwich(breaded pork tenderloin + fried egg + Gruyère cheese + bacon on marble rye) and she was spot on. The ingredients were fresh and despite all the components the sandwich wasn’t even greasy! Totally worth the trip! I’m excited to bring my group here tomorrow! P. s. I wanted to take pics of the meal but it was too damn good to stop eating. Just sayin.

My mom and I had plans to meet half way between Syracuse and Buffalo and settled to come here for lunch. It looked like it was right off the I-90 on the map, thus our decision. Just a warning: it’s actually about a 5 minute drive from the highway, despite the restaurant being right below it. Not a big deal though. We arrived and sat at one of the high-top tables by the fireplace. It was super cozy! Our server, Sandy was fantastic and attentive and is the reason for the 5, rather than 4-star review. She was phenomenal. For my meal, I ordered a french onion soup and the«3 pigs in a blanket» sandwich(which I split with my mom). The french onion soup came in a small cup-sized bowl, but was very delicious. Flavorful broth and nice melted cheese over the top. The sandwich was delicious two served on a really fresh white bun, with bacon and pulled pork ham, cheese and some slaw on an Italian roll. I really enjoyed the bacon, although it wasn’t crispy — it was applewood and delightful. The pulled pork was really nice as well :). Our waitress split our plates without us even asking and was just very attentive, anticipating our needs. I was super happy coming here, it felt like an old friend was taking care of us. Next time, I would explore their burgers — they looked phenomenal. Great visit!

This place is amazing! What a hidden gem in Henrietta. The food list is extensive, and there are options for the whole family. While menu items are familiar, Fireside puts a unique twist on these items to make them spectacular. I wanted to try so many things on the menu! The beer list is AWESOME and draft beers are priced very well for Rochester. Love the selection of local New York beers, and the knowledge of the wait staff to suggest ones that would agree with our palettes. The ambiance is wonderful, with great lighting, simple and elegant decorations, and a fireplace to keep customers warm. We are definitely coming back here, and I would not be surprised if this becomes our go-to restaurant in Rochester.

Why did I wait so long to try the Kung Pao calamari, WHY? It was sooooo good, fresh, tender, it did get a bit soggy cause of the generous sauce, but the sauce was sooooo good. I really loved the variety of veg mixed in, the celery was on that slightly tender mostly crisp edge, the shitake, broccoli and cauliflower. The Onion Dip is ridiculousness also. Jeeze!

I’m often entranced by the latest trendy place to pop up downtown. I wavered at first, asking myself if I did like really this place. All in all, we had a great night and I reminded myself this is a local hangout. A welcome addition to the Henrietta-area that’s over populated by chains. Yes, it was the perfect neighborhood spot to grab nachos and drink a beer with family and friends. Everyone seemed to feel at home. It was a range of people — older empty nesters, locals meeting friends for drinks, couples enjoying dinner with their in-laws and baby in tow. Then, my mom, brother and I meeting up for a farewell dinner. They cater to everyone. We sat by the fireplace — ooh so cozy! Although, waaaay too many people tried to touch it… What? Yeah it’s f-ing hot. It was a good laugh though. Anyway, I only had water because I was getting over a cold, but I was eyeing to cocktail list, which was extensive — lots to pick from and between the $ 7 – 8 range. I want that St. Germaine Cooler! We started with nachos — highly recommend! Chock full of well-seasoned meat and cheese, plus a homemade cheese sauce to add a little extra. And tomatoes, olives, etc. The salsa on the side is good too — ask for extra. The plate is huge — two people could share it as a meal. I was barely hungry for my entrée, it’s that filling. For dinner, I had the grown up grilled cheese and added portobello mushroom. It was so good! Just what you want from a grilled sandwich — warm, buttered, perfectly toasted bread and melty havarti, c’mon! A few freshly made slices of bacon to boot. The portobello was marinated in balsamic vinaigrette and was a savory meat-substitute to enhance the sandwich enough to fill me up with just a half. The homemade ruffle chips are killer too. If you can believe it, I opted for those instead of fries… That should mean something. Other worthy mentions: — fish fry was a hot ticket item — solid beer selection with local craft beers too — Kung pao calamari is my mom’s favorite on the menu Everybody felt like family here, there was a warm vibe and I think the neighborhood is really responding to what Fireside is doing. It does make a difference to know that what you’re eating is all homemade even if it’s simple sandwiches, appetizers, pizzas, etc. They do ‘em right.
