I wish I could leave more stars for Wake and Skate. The experience I had with the shop was beyond awesome! I’m working in Louisville Kentucky, and wake and skate was the closest Omen dealer to me. I called the shop to see if they had a board in stock I was on the hunt for. I spoke with Jason, the owner, and he told me he did in fact have the board but he only had one left. I told him I would not be able to make the drive down for just about two weeks. He then asked if I would like him to hold the board for me. I accepted and asked if he would like a credit card for the hold. He told me that if I gave him my word I was coming for it then he would save it. Not many people these days take someone’s word to hold a product, especially if it’s the last one they have and it’s going to take up space for almost 2 weeks. Fast forward to the Thursday before I was going to pick up the board. I figured I would call and double check to make sure the board was still there before I made the drive Saturday. Not that I didn’t trust Jason, but I also didn’t know how many people worked at the shop and the board could have accidentally been sold by someone else. I spoke with Jason again and he told me the board was still waiting and he was the only one working at the shop. He also informed me that he was going to have to close the shop for the weekend due to a personal issue. I figured I wasn’t going to be able to pick up the board or look around the shop. He told me if I wanted to go ahead and pay over the phone he would arrange so I could still come down on Saturday to pick it up. I also asked for a few other items to be put on the bill and had more questions about what he had in stock. He answered all of them and gave me advice on some items I was looking for. He went out of his way to make sure I could still get what I wanted when I wanted it. That is awesome customer service!
