My boyfriend and I make a point to come here every time we make it up to NC! It’s a small store, but the selection is really wonderful. We have very different taste in books, however, we managed to find so much more than we could in a larger second hand book store we visited in a nearby town. It’s very possible we left with nearly half the inventory this weekend! Books are all in next to new condition and priced wonderfully. There’s always a lovely shopkeeper tending the store when we stop in. Truly our favorite find in Hendersonville. Can’t wait to come back!

Joy of Books is a cute bookshop located on Main Street in downtown Hendersonville.
It’s a pretty small shop so there is a limited selection, but they make the most of the space they have. I liked that at the front of the store there was a display of local books. They have both new and used books as well as some CDs and DVDs. In the back of the shop is an area with children’s and young adults books.
I thought the prices were very fair and even though the selection is small, it seems likely that any book lover will find something here.
