Hannah Flanagan’s Pub

I stopped in this place for a bite and a beer, after a long drive. It was recommended to me by the hotel I was staying at because it was open late and had great food. Well, after sitting at the bar for a while, I finally asked the bartender for a menu, which was given to me, but no one bothered to take my drink order. I quickly decided on what to eat, but still was not acknowledged by anyone. I’ve worked in restaurants and bars and I know what it’s like when someone comes in near the end of a shift, BUT, I was there to take care of customers. Needless to say, after waiting far too long, I finally walked out. It’s a shame, because
I was really looking forward to that burger that I was told was so good!

We had brunch today and the Pot Roast benidict was out of this world. The Bangers and mash are great, the Shepard pie is great. The beer selection is supper. Trivia at the bar all the time.
Love it.

I realize that this may be a one time problem, but my brother and I had dinner and drinks there two years ago and we both ended up with food poisoning. We had totally different orders and shared nothing, so beware as this suggests generally deficient sanitary standards.

Stopped in for a drink, impressive fairly priced beer selection, good service, good pub menu. They have extensive outdoor seating but it became too cold to enjoy it. We’ll come back again and hopefully eat outdoors

Food is always decent. Salads are good, pot pie… yumm. Love coming here for a quick bite and drinks. Service is always good. Will be coming back.

Service was good but food coming out of the kitchen was slow. Split a Reuben with my husband. The bottom piece of bread was soggy and the fries were cold. The side dinner salad was good (very fresh). My husband liked the fried okra. Pretty mediocre. I think I’ll try the Public House next time.

We enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Service was good, food was excellent, had the pastrami sandwich. Recommend stopping in if in the area. We didn’t have any drafts here but I would like to come back someday and sit at the bar and have a few.

This is not only the best pot roast I have ever had but also the best food in general I have had in a long time. They have some rare bottled beer and an extensive menu. The service was polite and nice but slow.

Highly disappointed! I’m sad because this has been one of my parents favorites as they are new to the area. We even bought my dad a gift card here for Father’s Day. My parents were kind enough to let us use their place for the weekend. 10 adults all of us in our mid to late 30s without kids for one weekend. We came in and were greeted by a terribly rude hostess who says «there’s no room at the inn.» When asked how long the wait would be she says maybe 20 minutes .We said we’d wait at the bar. It was quite obvious we were being talked about… by the staff. Rude comments as people passed by (not other customers, but rather the staff). I ordered a blue moon which tasted flat and horrible. At this point we felt so unwelcome we decided to eat at the nice Mexican place across the street. This place lost probably 400 – 500 dollars from our large group. Thanks for making our kid free weekend so miserable. You should be ashamed of yourselves. The hostess needs to be fired. I’ll certainly tell my parents and everyone we know to try one of the many other places main street has to offer.

Good service. Good atmosphere. Spinach artichoke dip one of best ever had. Love the Monday night wings special. Great place to unwind after a day of touring.

I would absolutely not rec this place. We came in with 10 people ready to have drinks and dinner. The hostess proclaimed «there’s no room at the inn» we have no room for you. We could have easily spent over $ 500. The wait staff, bartenders were so rude we left and went somewhere that would appreciate business. We complained to the manager who cared less. Do not go here. awful, awful service.

The best Fish and Chips I’ve ever had! And I’ve had them in both the UK and Dublin! Awesome burgers and the Black and Tan delivered the way it should be. Great atmosphere.

Sunday after 5 PM all you can eat crabs. Must go!

I was looking forward to a good Irish meal of corned beef and cabbage. After waiting for 20 minutes to have my order taken I was informed they had run out or corned beef. Not wanting to wait another 20 minutes I ordered the roast beef and mashed with a side Greek salad. The salad was delivered in normal time followed 30 seconds later with my roast beef. I hurried through my salad which was FULL of black olives and started in on my main meal. Half way through I found a piece of breaded chicken. Curious, I tasted it. Whatever meal it came from must have been delicious. I scouted my paper plate for another nugget but came up empty. A half hour later my check was delivered but I had to ask a passing bus boy to track down my waitress. I was not impressed with the meal and definitely not the service.

First time here. Bartender acted like she hated her job (Jamie). Her crappy attitude obviously impacted the service. She didn’t care about her customers and seemed wanted to go home (it was 9pm). She seemed very inexperienced and immature.
I’ve lost count of how many Irish pubs I’ve visited in my adult life (including Boston, NYC and Dublin), this ranks at the bottom. Irish Pub 101: Hire a person behind the bar that has a personality and enjoys what they do — It’s pretty important for customer that want to stay and buy dinner and more drinks. $$

If you want a true Irish pub experience this is the bet we got in Hendo. Dark wood all around, fish and chips are great, good nightly specials on food and beer. A bit pricy for an Irish pub but the Guinness flows and it’s a great place to have a pint. ‘Tis only a stepmother would blame you for having a wee bit of fun here!

This restaurant was a great place to stop in Hendersonville while we were up there celebrating new years. We stopped in for an early dinner after visiting Hooker Falls, and were not disappointed.
I put a lot of stock in an experience being made or broken by the wait staff. Our waitress was on point the entire time, from dinner suggestions to the perfect mix between being overbearing and absent.
The food we had was good as pub food goes. We started with the hummus dip and mozzarella medallions, both of which were great. The medallions were a little greasy though, but not too noticeable. Our group of 5 all ordered different meals. We left satisfied. The pot roast was my choice, and it was pretty good. There was nothing special, but I left my plate empty. I also had a Caesar salad that was also pretty good.
So bottom line, if you are looking for some good beer and irish pub food in western north Carolina, this place will not disappoint.

So, so, so good. This is some pretty damn good «pub» food. It was obvious that most everything was made from scratch, which I love. The flavors were great. The chicken was definitely a good quality. I went in with pretty standard expectations, but this place is not standard. I would definitely come grab a sandwich or salad from this place any day.
