This store and its owner are a hot mess. I hesitated before writing this review because I had to «Add a Business» first, and I was kind of thinking it might be better to just pretend this bridal shop didn’t really exist. The owner, Nina, is super sweet. However, I’m not really sure owning a business is her quite her thing. She’s seriously lacking in certain skills that I consider critical to possessing any semblance of business acumen — such as professionalism and organization. I called prior to New Year’s to confirm that she had a bridesmaid dress sample in stock, which she assured me she had a sample of the exact brand and style I provided. I also confirmed her hours of operation and mentioned that I would be coming in to view the sample later that day. She didn’t ask for any of my contact information, but proceeded to detail the messy symptoms of a nasty head cold she’d been incubating for weeks. I didn’t particularly feel like catching her cold, so I offered to come in after the holiday. She was insistent that she’d be working a full day and encouraged me to still come in on that day. So the end of the work day rolls around and I head over to her shop only to find it completely dark with a sign on the door saying, «Sorry, I didn’t feel well so closed early. Call in the morning.» Dude, you couldn’t tell you were on your deathbed when I talked to you 3 hours earlier and you were hacking phlegmy coughs into the phone?! Hrmph. I called the next morning but the line just rang and rang. Fast forward to the week after New Year’s and I finally caught the shop open. I confirmed again that the correct sample was in stock then hopped in my car and hightailed it over just in case she decided to leave early again(Nina was still sick and still hacking into the phone). I had a little difficulty actually locating the sales counter at first. The store is a labyrinth of crap(some nice crap, some crap crap). I finally located Nina and was informed that I was on the wrong side of the counter and had to re-navigate the crap to get to the other side. I explained that I was there to check out the sample and she said she had to finish up something then would join me on the floor to help find the dress. I tried to find it myself, but the racks and racks of dresses defeated me so I had to wait for Nina to fish out the correct one. Not so shockingly, the dress she pulled out was the wrong one. She assured me it was the correct sample and although the detail of the dress she held had details very similar to the dress I picked out for my maids, it was clearly the wrong one(strapless instead of bateau neckline). I asked if she was sure that was the right style(I repeated the style number again) so she checked the tag and said yes. I confusedly took the dress to the back fitting room wear I inspected the tag and confirmed it was not the right style number. I tried it on anyway to try to imagine what it would look like on my girls with the different neckline, but the point of checking out a sample was completely missed with the impostor dress. Proceed with caution and definitely don’t buy anything unless you are able to have your hands on it. I’m pretty confident that she would order an incorrect style number if you were trying to get a wedding gown or bridesmaid dress not in stock, a surefire way to trigger a Bridezilla breakdown.
