Little Pantry Cafe

Looked for this place yesterday. Not there. Some Deli is there now. Another one bites the dust. :-(

Its a little hole in the city. My baby boy was hungry so I decided to try it out. We got a breakfast omelette with pancakes and hash browns and it was enough for my two year old and I for a reasonable price. The customer service was perfect the waitress was super kind and they had my favorite oldies music.

Stopped in to try breakfast and was not disappointed! Low cost, tons of food and family friendly. Ill be coming back for sure!

Good food. Waitress during the week is nice. Sometimes the cook is a bit off, bit overall good mom and pop.

While back home visiting family over the holidays, BF and I checked this place out for breakfast. It just went in, replacing another restaurant in that location, and hadn’t even changed signs yet.
There aren’t a lot of options for a classic breakfast in a cozy café in Hemet. There still isn’t. This place, though nice, is too big for me to think of it that way. That’s not a fair criticism since that was what I was looking for and not necessarily what the owners are going for. And honestly, Hemet is a tough town for any restaurateur because those Blue Hairs are picky damn eaters! They like it classic and they like it loaded — with sodium, cholesterol, and any other element that makes food tasty and deadly.
BF and I were in at almost lunch time, and ordered breakfast. It was pretty average. Good. Not great. And then twenty minutes past and my Iron Stomach absolutely revolted. I needed a loo, and soon. I had eaten out and about more than usual as it was the holidays, and my tumtum had not acted up until after my fairly tasty breakfast of eggs, biscuits and gravy and Polish sausage. BF’s tum was fine after nearly swallowing whole his breakfast of steak and eggs. I don’t know what it was on my plate that disagreed with me, but next time I head to the olé homestead I’m going to give the Little Pantry Café’s lunch menu a try, as I feel every establishment deserves a second chance. My digestive issues could have been due to any number of variables, and I think this little spot deserves another shot. Ha! See what I did there. Yeah… I rhymed.
