We visit this location often. Love the giant Bakers… huge baked potato filled with creamy butter and sour cream and plenty of cheese topped with crispy bacon. Big variety of side dishes and finish it all up with soft serve ice cream for dessert… or pecan pie.

We decided to give Dickey’s a try after hearing some out of town visitors rave about the chain. when We walked in and mentioned to the staff that it was our first time, they were very helpful in describing all the meu items and gave us an endless. series of tastings of their meats. We were very pleasantly surprised. I honestly think that their pulled pork was tastier and more tender than the one we had in Kansas City. Their briskets were good as well. We also loved the soft serve ice cream for dessert. We were so impressed, we ordered the Dickey’s BBQ recipe book from Amazon to try to duplicate the tastes.

I’ve been wanting to try this place, and haven’t been able to do so yet, so when I saw one was close to where we were traveling, I was pumped! First impression, EMPTY. On a Saturday at 1 pm. Weird, okay anyways we walk in, and it’s the most awkward feel in there. No one greeted us, and about 3 minutes after we are standing where it says«Order here» someone finally says something. I’ve never been here before so I obviously have never seen the menu. No one asked if we needed help or had any questions. The guy who took our order was just standing there looking at us until we said something. Weird as well. At that point I knew customer service wasn’t their strong suit. Well the food came fast, and was tasty, but i will not return based on the ridiculous customer service. I felt so uncomfortable and they made me feel stupid for not knowing what I already wanted. Prices aren’t good enough to suffer through the service. Management should probably have a meeting with staff and ask them if they know how to smile or show emotion

I am not sure what happened. When it first opened the place was great. Visited last night and the last few times and service has declined. If the food wasn’t so good it would be 1 star. Yesterday’s visit the ice cream was out of service, they were out of potato salad and the employees are not friendly except one of the four I dealt with. Not sure I will be back.

Please don’t listen to John C. In the tips portion of this page. He has a personal vendetta againt the owners of this establishment. Excellent service, and excellent food! The beef brisket is to die for. You can’t go wrong with the Dickeys bbq in Hemet. If your in town order the brisket with the potatoe casserole. Delicious food. The owners are awesome too!

We ordered the family pack for takeout. The potato salad and beans are tasty, The rolls are a little too chewy. The salad side was also nice. This was my first time here. We had ribs, ham and brisket. The place is nice and clean. Lost a star for lack of friendliness.

My husband and I went to the Dickey’s in Hemet, CA tonight for Valentine’s Day. We both ordered 3 meat plates and drinks. The original BBQ sauce was out at the counter, so I got some that was prepackaged from the girl working behind the counter. I had eaten about half of the sauce with some fries and dipped another one in the sauce… And out came a whole hair all curled up inside. The hair was long and submerged in the sauce I had been eating. It did not belong to me or my husband as it was too long and a different color. My husband and I immediately lost our appetites. He went up to ask for our money back. The manager tried to argue that it couldn’t have been in there. They offered to remake the food, but when we pointed out that we hadn’t eaten much yet and didn’t trust the food to be sanitary(and had lost our appetites) they refused to give us a refund, claiming they were too busy. My husband and I generally have enjoyed eating at Dickey’s, but I’m honestly still grossed out. We don’t have a lot of money to eat out and this was going to be a treat for us, so we were really upset by the lack of customer service(on top of the disgusting hair).

On my way back from Phoenix, I decided to drop by the city of Hemet and visit a buddy of mine who recently moved there. The drive from Arizona was long, and I was very famished. He told me there were plenty of food options around, of which I picked the barbecue place. He brought me here. This place has plenty of options. I opted to go with the three-meat place, and I picked grilled chicken, turkey, and beef brisket. For the sides, I chose macaroni and cheese, and barbecue beans. I got two small containers of their spicy sauce, and headed back to my buddy’s place to watch the super bowl. Coming here was a good idea. The food was very delicious, and the spicy sauce gave it that nuclear kick I like. Their iced tea is pretty good, it is not the aspartame bomb other places have. Their prices are comparable to other barbecue joints. I realized they have a location in my hometown(RB) here in LA. I will be taking friends there now, and stay tuned for the reviews from the RB location.

After leaving a negative review about the terrible service and the equally terrible meal I here, I was messaged by management asking if they could make it right. I said yes and asked how they could, and never heard from them again… Thanks guys! Bad customer service is learned from observing management, so I’m not surprised that your employees behave the way they do Update, I received yet another message from management after updating my review about the fact that they hadn’t hadn’t updated me where he apologized and said he would contact me to make it right, but of course did not.

I have been here close to a dozen times now, lured in by their delicious smoked meats. Most times, the meats are great. Occasionally you’ll encounter a dry batch of brisket, so it depends on if the employees were paying attention that day. Minus one star for inconsistent meat prep. Clean, inviting dining room is nice to eat in. It’s actually a little on the expensive side, not what you’d expect from a counter-service experience, but the food is above what you’d expect, so there’s the trade off. The people behind the counter are rarely warm and friendly hence minus another star.

A neighbor had been trying to get me to try this place for almost a year before I broke down and stopped there for takeout. Wow, maybe I have just been lucky, but each time I have gone there all of the meats have been perfect. I especially like that the sauce is on the side, so that it does not interfere with the integrity of the meat. Of course, I love that there is free soft serve ice cream. Although their dinners come with side dishes, after sampling them all, I must say that the only one I liked was the okra which is delicious but not a healthy choice. So I prefer to buy their meat by the pound as takeout and to provide my own side dishes.

What a nice change from the processed fast food crap that is everywhere. 3 of us had pork, ribs and salad. All terrific and the service was quick and staff pleasant. Glad we found this for some real BBQ tender meet option. Will be there enough to take advantage of their bonus award program. Highly recommended.

This place was really good. I tried out the rib meal with the two side dishes, the Mac n cheese and the tic tac toe shaped French fries. The ribs were delicious, the French fries were really good and they were my favorite. The Mac n cheese were good. The thing they forgot were the bread! They were my favorite! well anyways, everything else was good.

Good food. Kids eat free on Sunday. Just make sure you get there before the Baptists get out or you’ll have a good wait.

The beef ribs are tender and have lots of flavor. The Mac and cheese to me tasted more stoffers than anything. The baked potato casserole was good and so were the beans. I was super excited about the free soft serve and how they checked ID to help with theft. Their online ordering is easy!

I think it is a bit pricey, however the food is always hot, fresh and good. Give the chicken and brisket a try. Sweet tea is very good. We have a collection of yellow cups. I tried the ham it was dry but good.

You know, nothing compares to Calhouns in Murrieta(and to everyone reading this, go try it… it’s AMAZING!). But, seeing as how this place is super close to my house, Hubs and I wanted to try something new. Came here on a Monday night and it was decently crowded. But, this place just recently opened so that’s probably why. They have specials of the day listed when you walk in and they are pretty decently priced and comes with a good amount of food. We decided to do that and it was a pulled pork sandwich with two sides. I ordered the onion strings and mac n cheese. The onion strings were great and the mac n cheese was ehh. I’ve definitely had better and it has that same fast food type taste that just annoys me. The pulled pork was delicious. Now for the service. It needs some MAJOR work. I would think for a new restaurant opening up the service would be great and top notch, but not so much for this place. It’s the type of place where you order what you want from like 3 different people(kinda like Chipotle) and then someone takes your money and wraps it up at the end. The first guy who cut the meat was friendly and fast. The second girl was extremely quiet and I could barely understand what she was saying. And seeing as how most of the people that are coming in have probably never been here before, they need to explain the items on the menu if someone asks. So, I asked her a couple questions and she just seemed very aloof and didn’t really want to be there. The final girl who took our money was horrible. No people skills at all and just seemed really awkward. So, basically the food is pretty good and a nice change from whats in the area. But, the manager needs to do a better job with the customer service here and train them better. We will be back and hopefully there will be some better changes!
