Best Western Plus Riverpark Inn & Conference Center Alpine Helen

Treated my mom to a night in Helen. This was a quick visit while traveling and picked this hotel based on reviews and photos. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The location was a little further from the main area, but the walk was well-​lit and not unpleasant. The room was another story… It reeked of stale cigarettes and the shower curtain was extremely stained. The décor was a mix of old pictures and new décor with a «fresh» color of paint. Looks like they tried to update, but didn’t go all the way. The bed was nice, but the smell really was really a turn off. Not a lot of quality hotels in Helen, but I think I will just do a day trip for future visits. This was my first and last time in a best western hotel. I guess my standards are too high.

We literally stumbled upon this little diamond of a town. Not knowing anything about it, we took the advice of a local convenience store clerk and headed east through Cleveland, GA. When we arrived, they were friendly and we really needed that after 19 hours of driving from FL. The beds were like large marshmallows that just melted around you. They served a complimentary southern grits and gravy for breakfast. The property is located in the heart of town and we were able to walk pretty much anywhere. Unbeknownst to us, it was the starting weekend of Octoberfest and so they actually had festivities and a parade. We would like to return at Christmas and will definitely book this hotel. p. s. The candy in Helen, GA is to die for!

For a low price hotel, this place is great. Very clean and spacious rooms. Nice staff. A 5 – 10 minute walk from downtown shops. Huge selection for continental breakfast. Clean pool. We would stay here again.

This place is amazing!!! What makes this place even greater is the staff. They are super helpful and friendly. They try to acomadate you in every way possible. My family and friends always stay here when in town.
They offer a great complementary breakfast and cookies and juice are always fresh in lobby. The rooms are clean and the congress room is a great size for small groups.
The in, y thing I would say is they need to fix wifi in hotel. Other then that A+++++++

Stayed here by recommendation and wasnt disappointed, room was very nice, very clean and one thing I noticed just smelt great every time you went in the door.
We had a jacuzzi suite which although the jets were a little less powerful than I would expect, it wasnt a big deal. Everything else in the suite including a gas fireplace was wonderful. Yes it got into the 30s here in May.
Breakfast was on par, pool was great and you cant beat the location, walking distance to everything in Helen. Will be back.
