Wines very nice. Tasting fee $ 20, taken off if you spend $ 150. Not posted anywhere I could see it. The staff did not mention that information either. Lovely gardens. Napa prices. Pretty crowded.

The hours on their website are wrong, and don’t get there close to closing time or they will be really rude so you’ll get out of there quickly. Update* The time has been changed on Google representing the winter hours.

There is nothing that stands out about this winery in particular but I do like the wine and the chocolate sauce.

The wine here is AMAZING. AMAZING. So good. Oh my goodness. This was the first winery I actually bought some bottles to take home with me and I’m slowly sipping it because I do not want to run out. I’m even considering joining their wine club that’s how delicious their wine is. The wine tasting was not too pricey, on par with all those around them, and you get plenty to try and it’s all delicious. The grounds are pretty and they have a gorgeous garden. They even sell other products(I think the owner’s wife sells stuff there) and I bought a shampoo for my dog! Hah. It smells so good though and makes my dog smell amazing!!! I love it. Great spot, would definitely return and am definitely considering treating myself to a wine club membership here!

Husband loved the wines that all finish off pretty dry. Beautiful flower, vegetable, and herb gardens as well as grounds with chickens. Dog-friendly. Tasting room staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Good picnic spot if you want grab sandwiches from the grocery to go along with your tasting, and make sure you spend a little time walking around.

Our experience at Quivira was our absolute favorite from our self-guided bike tour around Sonoma and Napa. Robert and the staff at the tasting area were top notch both in their knowledge of the wines presented as well as their friendly, personable approach to making us feel extremely welcome and comfortable. This is a top notch winery with a strong environmental ethic, and it is architecturally beautiful both inside and out with excellent views. If you go to taste their wine, make sure you ask for Robert.

We absolutely love Quivira. Every time we drive onto the property I instantly feel more relaxed and happy– it’s such an idyllic setting with the lovely buildings, the gardens, and(of course) the vineyard. Just so great. Any time we have out of town guests we bring them up here. I’ve never, ever experienced the poor service others mention, and we usually go on weekends, and in fact even went on barrel tasting weekend(eek), and the folks at Quivira were still super nice, despite the large, fratty(read: obnoxious and drunk ass) crowd. As for their wines, their Zin, Grenache, Rose, and Sauv Blanc(which I ordinarily don’t like) are great. We’d drive up there for their Grenache and Rose alone.

The wine tasting here was nicely done. They were a bit short staffed but that just meant coming back to the bar for your tasting if you wished to sit outside. The wines that were supposed to be cold were and there were a few that suited my taste. The shop had the usual Tshirts and hats but was not OTT. They are also linked to a winery in the Barossa Valley in South Australia.

We tasted inside and had a great time with the pourers. Beautiful grounds here where they plant a lot more than grapes. Tasty wines. A good place to bring food and sit outside at their picnic tables. Great stop if you’re doing a self-guided bike tour. That’s how we came across it.

Came here after striking up a conversation with strangers at another winery, and they recommended that we come here. My party and I LOVED the expansive vegetable/herb garden. I enjoyed walking around the area as it’s a change of pace from the other wineries where you primarily stake out a spot and try not to move too much. There’s great views, though the seating is not particularly comfortable(has the feel of patio furniture). Nevertheless, I’d recommend it and would enjoy coming back.

I really wanted to love Quivira. We are able to find Quivira on the shelves at home and I’ve always enjoyed their wine, so I thought I’d likely love the tasting experience there. I was left slightly disappointed, however. I enjoyed walking the grounds outside the tasting room. It’s very clear their commitment to biodynamic farming is not just lip-service. The grounds are beautiful and diverse. It’s worth a stop by just to walk around, honestly. The tasting experience was mixed. The wines were fine(average to slightly better than average in my opinion). But I don’t think that is a reason to give a winery a mediocre review. However, the pourer seemed more interested in impressing or chatting with the other patrons. I enjoy talking with the pourers and learning more about their wine, and I fully understand if they are busy that you don’t get that in depth experience. But it wasn’t especially busy(5 of us total) and it was clear to me, for some reason(wine club members maybe… not sure) that I was being overlooked a bit. I was able to glean some information about their wines by listening to him talk to the other patrons. I also did get offered, but not overly pressured, a wine club membership. Mediocre wines with a great host make for a great winery experience. Likewise, good wines with a mediocre server can create a mediocre experience. So, all in all, I’d come back to Quivira in hopes of a better tasting experience, but it will be on down the list for me.

Wonderful tasting experience. We went in late May, enjoy the burst of summer white and rose, and then moved on to reds. The Quest is particularly good. Shoutout to Erin, who explained all about the winery’s commitment to organic and biodynamic farming. Check out the gardens. I learned a lot, and really enjoyed the experience.

It is worth just the drive for the view. Gorgeous property. The wine was okay but I bet is better aged. Family run so we had a good visit chatting and drinking. :)
