My partner and I biked to dry creek on a Friday afternoon. The place has a pretty landscape with picnic tables spread around the entrance. The tasting room is quant and cute, and the staff was very friendly. We did a tasting for $ 15, which was waived when we bought a bottle. We went with a bottle of their Chardonnay, which was delicious.

Spent the weekend in Healdsburg for the BFs bday for beer and wine tasting. We were staying at Dry Creek inn and were pointed towards Dry Creek Vineyard as our first stop and boy were we happy. Delicious wine primarily zins were my favorite. After all the tasting I couldn’t remember much but we bought one bottle and got our tasting covered which I believe was $ 10 for regular and $ 15 for the reserve list. We regularly go to Napa and Sonoma and rarely go as north as dry creek but with all the picnic space and beautiful vineyard out here I can’t wait to come back with friends!

Sofie and I were here for the Healdsburg Jazz Festival event that they hosted. The grounds were perfect for this event. I was pleased that the prices for the wine were quite reasonable! You know how some places have«special event pricing»? Well, no gouges here! We enjoyed a very nice bottle of Old Vine Zin.($ 30) It was quite good — and I love the label. If there is any metrics about the wine that you’d care to know, it’s all on the label. We look forward to visiting Dry Creek Vineyard to see what it’s like when no one is around… and tasting the wines.

I scheduled a tasting for a group of 7 last weekend. Dry Creek Vineyard has a large selection of wines to fit different people’s tastes, and the tasting fees are reasonable. The staff person who led our tasting, Darren, was amazing! Every person in our group picked different wines to taste, and he accommodated each and did a great job introducing each of the wines and giving us enough information about how they were made and where they came from to appreciate the process without being overwhelming. I felt like he really tailored the explanation to our group’s interest and knowledge. We picnicked outside afterwards, and it was lovely!

I love this winery. Dry Creek was the first winery my mother visited when she moved to California back in the 70’s, and the love she feels for this winery has certainly been passed on to me. If you’re on Dry Creek Rd. in Healdsburg and you don’t stop by Dry Creek, you’re definitely missing out, big time. They have a great tasting room, filled with many awesome folk ready to pour you some fantastic wine. I dig the nautical theme they have, and in addition to wine, they sell other gifts and goodies. The grounds are spectacular and very well kept. They even have a bocce ball court on site that you can rent for a few hours. They are a block up from the Dry Creek Market and Deli, and we’ve bought lunch there and walked back to the winery to eat in the garden and drink some wine while we eat. It’s perfect. DCV also throws awesome wine club parties too. My favorite annual event they do is in the summertime when The Sun Kings(Beatles cover band) play for 3 hours. Such a fun event, and they really do it right with the setup and all. Last year they brought out a fish n chips truck to serve up some grub… although I missed out in trying some, it looked delish! Join their wine club! You won’t regret it. I’ll likely be a wine club member at this winery for years to come. The staff is so wonderful too. It’s nice to be recognized every time I go in for a tasting or to pick up my wine. Okay, on to the wine. They’ve got a little bit of everything. My favorites are the Fume Blanc, Chenin Blanc, Endeavour Cab, Sauv Blanc(especially the Musque clone), Malbec, Petite Zin Rose, Merigate and The Mariner. I’m kind of in love with nearly all their Zins… but especially the Spencer’s Hill and Beeson Ranch. They offer a generous variety of wines to taste, and if you can leave without taking a bottle home, consider yourself lucky… but also, what’s wrong with you? Go back and get a bottle or two… or three. Heck, just get a case, or split one with a friend like me and my best friend do nearly every time we stop by. The prices are very reasonable, and you save even more if you are a wine club member. Dry Creek Vineyards will forever be one of my favorite wineries in Sonoma County. Pay them a visit next time you are in the area.

The best place! If you want excellent wine you must come here. Bring a picnic to enjoy the beautiful grounds. Every time we come we bring a picnic. It’s so relaxing. We could stay here all day. The people who work here are so nice and very helpful. You can tell they enjoy their job. Did I mention the wine is excellent?!? We bring friends from out of town as often as possible. Recently we had friends that were visiting CA for the first time and this winery was their favorite!

Dry Creek is one of my regular stops when I’m in the area. I like that they have several great-tasting wines that are moderately priced(under $ 25). There are more expensive bottles, too, but I don’t see the value in them. The Zinfandels are all good. They’re a specialty of the Dry Creek region. Chenin Blanc is a hidden treat. The winery’s small tasting room provides a cozy environment in which I feel I’m enjoying real 1 – 1 interaction with the staff member. On rare occasion when it gets really busy, though, the place can feel like a madhouse.

We had a great visit at Dry Creek. They started us off with a complimentary taste of a light white wine and we tried some wines from each of the tasting menus. Robert was extremely friendly and helpful, and we ended up joining their wine club. I really enjoyed trying some new wines in a relaxed space with no pretense. Looking forward to getting some delicious wines in the spring!

First time here. Drive by visit… we don’t taste, as we are driving without a designated driver. We talked to the barrista, and purchased one of their cabernet sauvignons. It’s delicious, nice body and taste. Nice building and grounds. Enjoy!

Lovely winery, I enjoyed my time here! First of all, the grounds are beautiful, and it’s the first thing I noticed after we parked and walked out of the car. We came in November, so there were fall leaves scattered on the ground, and it was just all so picturesque and lovely. Several picnic tables adorn the lawn, perfect for eating your picnic lunch. We brought some sandwiches and snacks and enjoyed ourselves at these tables, happy to be enjoying the sunny and chilly day in such a pretty place. As for the wine tasting, it was also tasty and the host was very hospitable and friendly. We had Visa Signature cards, so we were able to take advantage of the deal: 4(or 5?) complimentary tastings from their Visa Signature tastings menu. I enjoyed all the wines, and learned about this area of wine country specializing in zinfandel. We were interested in trying a sweet wine too that was not on the list, and our helpful host poured us a taste of that too, which was very nice of him. Overall, an enjoyable morning at this winery, and I’d recommend this place for those looking to visit the Dry Creek area and are interested in zinfandels.

Beautiful winery with a very lovely picnic area near the parking lot. Tasting room is gorgeous too. Lastly, great service(thank you Rich!). Rich also recommended my friend and I to check out Bravas, which is a Spanish tapas place in Healdsburg. And he was completely on point! Anyway, Dry Creek is where I discovered my love for dessert wines. Can’t wait to open up this bottle for a special occasion!

The tasting room is nice, decorated with a nautical(sailboat) theme. I opted for the the Wine Club Selection tasting but replaced the whites with the two zins from the Signature tasting. So I ended up with what amounted to a zin only experience. I enjoyed the wines, especially differences between the single vineyard wines. Oddly enough, my favorite was the old vine zin rather than any from the single vineyards.

Great winery! I worry sometimes about wineries where the outside looks too pretty, because it sets high expectations for the wine. However, the very first wine, which was a Chenin blanc, actually was not on the list, was so good we ended up buying two bottles! The other wines were all solid too, with the Chardonnay and Zins being my favorite. The tasting was a reasonable price and they let us take another 10% off with the Unilocal discount. Also– we chose a tasting off the reserve list, so I can’t say much about the regular one. The garden outside is beautiful too, and it’d be lovely to picnic and take a stroll when the fam comes out to visit. Highly recommend if you are checking out the area!

I believe our sommelier was Darren, and even though it was busy, he still provided a lot of great insight and information during our tasting. The tasting room inside is small, but they offered a pretty wide selection of wines. I liked the whole nautical theme. Would come back.

I guess I do like the bigger wineries. Lots to choose from and this was finally one place with a lot of zins to try. Our sommelier was great, very informative and friendly. Ended up getting a bottle of their vogenese ranch zin and dry chenin blanc. I don’t even like whites, but the chenin was great. The grounds were ok, there is a small garden by the parking lot and some picnic tables too. Not really much of a view though. But good place to hit up for those with varying wine preferences. Lots of sommeliers available to pour too.

First, let me just say that the hospitality at this Vineyard is OUTSTANDING. I visited Drycreek Vineyard for the first time today for a concierge event. It’s a quaint family owned winery that doesn’t span too far in acres, but it more than makes up for it in the wines it provides. Starting with the staff, Darren Abel and Kim Wallace are truly gems. They were extremely knowledgeable in the art of wine making. We were taken to the wine cellar to enjoy a variety of wines(two whites and three reds). My favorite was definitely their Bordeaux varietal, «The Mariner». Delicious! We were also treated to an amazing lunch as well, and a bag full of goodies! Your experience may be a bit different from mine given that this was a VIP event, but I guarantee that Drycreek will still deliver on impeccable hospitality. Book a tasting and a tour! I’ll definitely be sending my guests here :)

Great picnic area here if you want to bring some food to enjoy with your wine(have to buy their’s to drink in the property I’m pretty sure). Conviently located near the grocery store for picking up a sandwich or snack to bring along. Nice interpretive trail that speaks to wine growing, the appalachian, and the winery. Be sure to check it out before you leave. They had one of the best Merlots that I tried all day! Don’t miss it. Also, if you’re into boats/nautical theme, this is the tasting room for you. The staff here are very knowledgable and engaging. Asked about other wineries in the area and they had great suggestions. If you check out other winery’s reviews here on Unilocal, you’ll see a lot of «people at Dry Creek Vineyards suggested this place» in their reviews, which is actually what led us to try DCV.

Another winery that’s kind enough to open before 11am for all of serious wineauxs that like to fit in 7 tastings in one day. We had been at the lackluster Unti before arriving at Dry Creek, and our tasting went much better. The server was very enthusiastic and really seemed to be enjoying her job. I was put off that some wines on the tasting list are only available to club members. Why bother tasting something I can’t buy? We stuck with standard wines rather than the reserves. Their whites were decent but nothing I wanted to take home. Apparently, they are known for their Fume Blanc, but I’ve had better ones from Arizona. I liked their reds much better. I had a hard time choosing which zin and cab to take home. We ended up with the DCV2 zin and Endeavor cab. You can find some of these in grocery stores so give them a try if you come across them.

The winning point is that they tossed in a complimentary wine bottle after our flight tasting! What a grand, unexpected service and extra tips to the wine pourer! We selected the signature series and it was 4 wines to choose from on the list, for a mere 5 bucks! Totally agreeable! I really liked the Merlot at the end of the wine tasting! It was a nice finishing touch. It left a dry appeal to the palate and it was fitful to the name of this vineyard. It was a pleasant time spent here and surely made our mouths dry! Next stop was for food and to quench our thirst!
