We’ve been to this Perkins multiple times, always had great service and food. Today we waited at our table for an hour and a half for our food to come out, then it wasn’t even the correct order plus the food wasn’t cooked! There were parties that came in after us mind you and received their food before us… We were told by the MANAGER to have a little patience it was a busy day, she was RUDE and then IGNORED us on top that!!! I we will never return to this establishment again!!! I don’t even want to give them a 1 rating!!!

Absolutely horrible service. I’d give 0 stars if I could. I went here with my mom early in the morning, and while we were seated quickly, we were not given a server. One lady was serving our entire row, but completely skipped over us. She made small talk with others, but stared at us and didn’t say anything. We didn’t even get our drinks yet. It was horrifying how we weren’t being served literally sitting there for over 20 minutes. I’d like to add that EVERYONE in this restaurant was Caucasian except me and my mom, who are Asian. After sitting there in anger and about to leave, a lady being served saw that we looked extremely infuriated and told the server who was SUPPOSED to serve us that we’ve been waiting all day. YES, A CUSTOMERHADTOTELLTHESERVER. The sever just looked at us ANDGOTSOMEONEELSETOTAKEOURORDERS. Now, I’m not trying to jump to the race card, but it entirely seemed that way. I’m very disappointed and will never step foot in this Perkins again. It’s disgusting how unprofessional and rude these servers were.

This Restaurant quickly earned my 5 Stars, i was here with my wife and my kid 2 weeks ago to try their food again, it was really great experienced, the lady was serving my table name is Kathy, she was very polite and she give all our request even it wasn’t in the menu. The receptionist was very nice. This is one of my favorite place now. Reasonable price, great food and good service!

I’m partial to local, family-owned places but it never hurts to try a well-established chain. I’ve been to plenty of IHOPs but never a Perkins and I’ve heard good things about it. My mom and I went after stopping by the nearby MVC for breakfast and it was delicious! At first, the coffee seemed light but it turned out to be quite flavorful. Then my mom and I ordered some of the healthier plates; a spinach mushroom scramble and a banana whole wheat French toast. The proportions are massive for the healthy foods and I saw other tables with omelets, pancakes, and a meat(bacon, sausage) as part of one order! A great deal, good people, a bit of a wait but totally worth it. Nice breakfast!

We always stop by here after a trip to the beach at Sandy Hook before we get on the GS Parkway, and have been going here for years. Friendly staff, good service, and a nice variety of stuff on the menu along with some local specials. Been to a couple other Perkins but none of them are as good as this one.

A fan of most Perkins in the area, but this one was pretty awful. I had eggs benedict, which had too much hollandaise sauce. My plate was yellow! My friends breakfast was ok except the muffin. We thought muffins were impossible to mess up, at least for a Perkins. We were proved wrong! Service was great, but the food not so much. We wont be going there again.

Management runs a tight ship. For a chain it has a personal touch. Food is good. Service attentive and prices reasonable. Been going there for years

I have not found a better breakfast place in the Hazlet/Middletown area. I’ve tried it all: Red Oak… New Monmouth… Yellow Rose… Turning Point… Nothing beats the speedy customer service and warm«always-Sunday-morning» atmosphere at Perkins! The owner himself greets you with a smile and the waitresses are experts in their fields. Plus, the menu is enormous! But watch out… if you plan to go on Saturday or Sunday morning, prepare to wait! The secret is out and this place WILL be packed.

This was my first time at a Perkins as I stopped by at 2:30pm on a Saturday. It’s easy to find. Just look for the KFC in the shopping area off the highway. The waitress greeted me after I walked in and directed me to my seat. I ordered the raspberry iced tea and told her I’ll need extra time to look over the three menus I received. I settled on the Swiss and Mushroom Chicken meal with rice with a side of fresh vegetable medley and french fries. It was a gigantic serving but I ate it all. Brittany checked in on me often to see if I was ok. It was a delicious meal. Music played at a moderate noise level with family friendly modern pop music including the classic«It’s Raining Men» and«Drive By» by Train. There was one tv available at the entrance. This was a better than usual dining experience.

NEVER a bad day or meal at Perkins. I recommend for everyone. I failed to give them the extra star bc I wish they would at least serve beer or wine. In all I love it here.

Went for breakfast on a weekday morning. The food was terrible. Biscuit was stale. The steak was like a rubber. Service was terrible. People were rude here. Would not come back.

I go here for dinner sometimes. I dont love the normal Perkin’s menu. I do like the specails they have at night though. Soup, salad, rolls, and your meal for $ 11. You can’t beat that!

Always consistent. Friendly wait staff. Great value for your money. My family always has different tastes when we go out to eat. Nice casual place when you don’t feel like cooking and just want something inexpensive with a lot of variety. Owners are very attentive to all customers.

Whoever thinks this is a five star establishment must eat in a pig trough. This place deserves NO stars. It is absolutely disgusting! The food is absolutely repulsing, the moment you walk in you can tell the wait staff, cooking staff ANDMANAGEMENTSTAFF do not care about the quality of their product, the time customers wait on food, or the way they present themselves. On my one and only trip to this PUCKINS I ordered a chicken sandwich with fries and my boyfriend ordered a cup of soup and salad. The waitress was EXTREMELYRUDE from the get go and she moved at the pace of a snail. After waiting for 35 minutes for my Chicken Sandwich I was appalled at what was put in front of me. The chicken sandwich should of been called the chicken fat sandwich as it was comprised of chicken fat chunks, mayo, on an stale bun. I tried to keep my cool and just eat my fries but this place can’t even fry french fries. The fries had been fried at least 40 minutes prior and sat under a heat lamp which made them limp and soggy just like this entire restaurant. You might think that this is the reason why I gave this place 1 star, but no, I was so displeased I just wanted to leave and go eat at the Middletown Diner, as we went up to pay for the food that was non-edible the cashier asked us how everything was? Standing directly behind this cashier was a middle aged man(balding) with a name badge that said Manager. As I explained our experience to the cashier the look on her face was telling me that she hears this same schpeel 100 times a day. What really pissed me off about this is that cowardly Manager who overheard our entire conversation yet sheepishly walked back into the grease pit they call a kitchen! There are at least 10 other LOCALLYOWNED establishments within minutes of this place that deliver an absolutely outstanding experience for the same price. DONOTTRUSTTHISPLACEITISABSOLUTELY A NIGHTMARE!

This is a great Perkins! Always clean, serivce is quick and the food always good! The owners are always present and on top of making sure everyone has a good experience. I could eat here for breakfast, lunch or dinner. The breakfast quesadilla is one of my favorites!
