The restaurant is clean and the food is good. Our only complaint was wilted salad greens.

Coney Cravers is back open for business!!! Since, like, last Wednesday… Permanently? Ah, we’ll see… Right now i’m at 2.5 stars… My sister, nephew and I went last Saturday, after noticing the«open» sign lit up a few days earlier. They didn’t advertise their re-opening this time. Talked to the head waitress and the owner… They did some re-vamping and definitely some re-training of the staff… I ordered breakfast, sister ordered steak and eggs, and nephew ordered fettucine alfredo with chicken. Red onion in the coleslaw… Never heard of that before. I didn’t try it, but nephew didn’t like it. When my breakfast came, the first thing I noticed is that one of my yolks was broken and cooked hard. THISIS A NO-NO!!! To ANY chef, if a customer orders 2 eggs, unless they are fucking scrambled, they expect 2 egg yolks… This is not an assumption, this is a FACT… Hash browns are the shredded kind, nothing to write home about. They do offer seedless rye which I love. Steak was supposed to be NY strip, but it looked awful fatty to me. Sissy ate most of it though and said it was cooked the way she wanted. Nephew said the alfredo was boring. I would agree, most alfredo is boring, so that really isn’t saying anything. The chicken was cooked ok. They gave him a piece of plain white bread though… garlic toast would have been nice. So, the staff is friendly enough, and business was picking up by the time we left… I just think they need to reign in the menu, and get the cooks trained a little better. They couldn’t ask for a better location. So, here’s to hoping. /DO-OVER!!!

Meh is right. My husband and I have been here three times, and all three times we’ve had really lame service. Our first time was shortly after the restaurant had opened. I’m a big fan of the Tubby’s in HP and CC is owned by the same person. The Tubby’s is AMAZING, so I had high hopes for CC. The place was nicely renovated, if you can get past the fact that the 1950’s threw up in there. But it’s nice and clean. The food is of good quality, and good portion sizes, but the service is SOSLOW that you’ll likely see your food sitting in the window for several minutes before you get it. This means luke-warm food. The servers aren’t very attentive however they are super friendly. It’s just obvious that a table service-based restaurant isn’t the forte of the owners, so some stronger management would really help. In the meantime, I’ll spend my money at the Tubby’s instead!

Dude? No, this place is one of the few places ill actually trash. Twice I have visited this place, and both times my wife failed to recieve what she ordered. The staff seems to be incompetant and the food is always cold when it gets to the table. I bank at the PNC next door and have had conversations with the employees about Cravers, they seem to agree. I dont recommend this place at all.

I needed a late night meal and since I live down the street I decided to try Coney Craver’s again. As an ex coney waitress for 3 years I admit I’m a bit judgemental… Cute Décor and very friendly with a huge menu, I thought I may have found a new favorite spot until I noticed that it wasn’t one gnat that kept flying by my face but several and quite a few of his fallen brothers were laying right next to me on the windowsill, where a spider was enjoying his feast… I was debating weather I wanted to flee or just buck up and finish my meal, when my Boyrfriend picked up a fry and found a fly fried into it. We quickly got up and informed the waitress who acted like there was nothing wrong with any of that. I gave it two stars because my Kebob was awesome until all the flies swarmed So no even if I can see the lights from my house, I’ll never be back.

I was happy to see Coney Craver’s begin renovating this place a while back. It was depressing driving past the shuttered old Big Boy’s every time I wanted to go south on 75. I was only hoping it wouldn’t end up being some super janky place that would close a month after it opened. After it being open for a little while, we finally made it in a couple of weeks ago. I was pleasantly surprised by the décor — they put a lot of energy into converting the interior 1950’s style, with a smattering of flat screens to bring it to the 2000’s. We ordered coney combo type meals. The coneys are pretty good — hot dogs have that nice snap going on. The chili is decent. The fries left a bit to be desired, a little soggy and greasy. The menu is surprisingly large, going beyond your traditional coney island offerings. As another reviewer pointed out — there did seem to be a bit of a gnat problem. Hopefully they get that under control. Service was pretty decent — friendly and relatively attentive. It looks like they might be fashioning some sort of back patio — although I can’t imagine they would bother opening it until the spring. There were a decent number of tables seated when we stopped in, so hopefully this place will do well!

If you can get over the mysteriously placed apostrophe(who is Coney Craver?) or the poorly executed 50s diner theme then you just might enjoy this place. It’s cheap, the food is decent and the staff is friendly.

My wife and I went here for dinner and loved it. It is a huge change from the Big Boy that use to be there. The inside is very nicely decorated and very clean. It resembles a 1950’s dinner, even the waitstaff fit in with the theme. The menu is huge. There is a lot to choose from. It is very reasonably priced. The portions are huge. We will definitely be going back.

I sort of wish that I could give different aspects of the restaurant different stars, but I can’t. If I could just review the waitstaff, they’d get five stars. Everyone I spoke with was very pleasant, and not in a fake(or at least noticeably fake) way. This is a new place — in the spot of an old Big Boy that had been vacant for a long time. The interior is nice — many old black and white photos adorn the walls and there are several big screen tv’s. The menu is basic diner/coney — and it covers that area well — from gyros to steak and coneys to stir fries. I got a basic breakfast — french toast/sausage/hash browns. It took a long time for the kitchen to get that together, and judging from the varying temperatures of the food — they never really did get it all together. It all tasted ok. It’s basic stuff — other than serve it cold how can you really mess it up? So — nothing to rave about other than the waitstaff — still a new operation though — I’ll be back to see what dinner or lunch is like.
