I am highly grossed out by your chicken curry!!! I found a pincher bug(roach) in a sealed frozen package with the food! Costco was notified and you need to know as well!

I am SOOOO excited to have discovered Sukhi’s!!! I am eating the Chicken Curry, tender, pure white meat chicken with PERFECT texture, generous amount of delicious sauce with nice heat and soft Naan bread. I can’t wait to try the other dishes by Sukhi’s! I feel like I am in a restaurant. a good one!

Visited Sukhi’s in a Farmer’s market. Got 2 samosas for $ 5, super oily and it tasted old, may be it was prepared during previous farmer’s market? He mentioned it’s shelf life is 2 weeks, only samosas with preservatives last so long. Along with me(Indian) in the stall was a kind American lady, he gave her more chutneys, parathas to taste and din’t even bother to give at least half for me. the lady shared her small pieces with me. Very biased and pushy guy. Is this the way you treat your customers? Beware people. You get better quality stuff.

Visited Sukhi’s today at the Belmont farmers market. Had the Samosas and puchased the jalapeño chutney and garlic spread to go with the vegetable paratha. I came home and ate everything. It’s now almost 10 o clock on a Sunday and I have this insatiable craving. How will I make it through the week until next Sunday to get more of this? What will happen to me during the off season and the Belmont farmers market is gone? The perfectly seasoned potatoes in the samosas. The crave able vegetables in the paratha. At the stand today I didn’t

Cannot comment on their prepared foods but as an Indian food aficionado I keep looking for the easy prep for home cooked. Unfortunately an abundance of salt ruins an otherwise delishious spice blend on their Home Chef Collection Sauces. With 30 percent sodium on their collection the saltiness completely ruins any dish I’ve tried with this collection. And Ive tried them all. Can’t comment on their frozen meals but I’d suggest checking the label before you eat. So too bad because otherwise their spices are spot on. With few competitors in this US market(Pataks, etc), I’d only buy again if their sodium content were reduced. Seriously Sukhi. Too bad.

I found out about Sukhi’s at the Belmont Farmer’s Market. This stuff is so good! This was a couple of months ago but my boyfriend and I bought a bunch of stuff to make lunch that day and everything was delicious. I loved the pita type bread and then the variety of sauces which we bought to accompany them.

Oh Dear Sukhi, I wanted for many years to love you but your pricing keeps avenging my wallet. As well your sales people and inconsistent quality towards my common sense. I do not need to be told a certain type of pickle does not exist because I am not Indian. $ 2.50 a samosa!!! Puleeeez I can go to any Indian store in the bay area and get much more. Pickle’s, home made roti or stuffed breads am afraid to buy because of your pricing and who knows how long they sit until the next ‘farmers market’. Love you and your success story but who the hell is buying this overpriced product?

Review long overdue. Sukhi’s makes the best samosas and chutneys… especially, the mint and tamarind! Both are addictive. I usually go to the Oakland Farmer’s Market on Fridays to pick up 2 samosas and somehow end up leaving with 5! That darn guy is so convincing but the food speaks for itself. I’ve purchased many of their seasonings to make at home and they are all wonderful. Too bad they don’t allow for pick up at their facility in Hayward. Then again, thats probably a good thing or i’d be going every weekend to pick up goodies.

Thank you sir for pushing your food in my mouth. I am so happy to be your recipient. Seriously, walk by this guy and he will give you a full lunch in bite-sized pieces. Delicious bite-sized pieces! I wasn’t even hungry, but I left drooling for my pumpkin fantasticness that I just purchased. It was consumed within 15 minutes of getting home. Husband liked it. Baby liked it. This is a rarity. The cilantro chutney is awesome. The jalapeño chutney is even better. I would kill for a samosa right now. Don’t intimidated by the pushy guy. He just wants to make you happy.

I got the samosas, the cilantro chutney, and the tamarind chutney, plus the fried urad dal at the farmer’s market. It was all REALLY good. The samosa crust was amazing — flaky, buttery, incredible. They were filed with potatoes and spices — that’s it. The cilantro chutney is also delicious. It can go on pretty much anything. Same with the tamarind. I would say the flavors are perfect in the chutneys. I feel like it might be more geared toward American tastes because they aren’t very spicy. They do have a tiny bit of pepperiness, but it’s pleasantly mild. There is definitely some sweetness, but not too much, which makes me happy since I don’t like overly sweet things. The staff were super nice, gave us LOTS of free samples, but they were a little… unconventional in their sales approach. Basically, they handed us tons of samples, and anything we liked, they put it in a bag haha. But we didn’t regret our purchase, even though it wasn’t cheap. The only reason I took off one star was the price. The food tasted great, but for the amount and simplicity, I felt it was too expensive. However, for an occasional snack, it’s worth a splurge.

As their website says — and I found out(just bought one at Whole Foods in Philly): Sukhi’s Chicken Tikka Masala Naanwich is a soft Indian naan that is filled with tender chicken in a creamy, tomato sauce. It is so freakin’ good!!! Can’t wait to get another one. Go, Sukhi, go! I predict national domination.

Oh, Sukhi’s, you are so lovely with your $ 2 massive samosas that can also be purchased at 3 for $ 5. Your omnipresence at every farmers’ market makes my life that much better. I only wish your sauces and parathas and bread were just a dollar cheaper a piece. Nevertheless, your hot, greasy samosas make me a happy camper.

Available at farmer’s market by SF Civic Center on Wednesdays. The seller gives you a lot lot lot of samples. It’s a bit pricey but it’s SO delicious. I fell in love with the chutney— my current favorite is the Jalapeño Chutney, 8oz jar @ 7.99. It’s sweet & just a bit spicy. I dip it with warmed flat-bread as a quick snack. Will purchase samosas next time I’m around!

At first glance, I almost would have passed them by as yet another farmer’s market near Eastern bread and chutney/sauce/hummus pusher. Looking closer though, they have some innovative products such as the naanwich. The naanwich is a pre-made sandwich(without preservatives) that is made up of a long and thin naan folded in two with filling in between. Acknowledging that it is pre-made, I will not harp on factors that would make it better in a made-to-order enivornment: fresh vegetables, fresh herbs, generous yogurt sauces, etc. As a pre-made product with 2 days refridgerator life, it surely beats most grocery store or convenience store options! Chicken Tikka Masala Naanwich: Fresh and homemade tasting masala sauce. It’s got a little kick, but probably toned down for the general public… wish they offered a spicy version. The chicken is tender breast meat, which works well for me since I prefer white to dark. The outer texture of the naan is freakishly smooth. I suspected artificial additives and none were to be found, so it’s probably more the fault of moisture escaping to the plastic wrapper barrier. Pretty messy for a sandwich, so keep a bunch of napkins handy. Chana Masala Naanwich: Definitely not your typical savory chana masala. The garbanzo beans are cooked to the point of being pasty, which works very well on a sandwich. The masala is full of sweet and sour to match the savory and(mildly) spicy, probably a factor of chutney/pickles added on. Less messy than the chicken tikka masala naanwich, but the same issue about moist naan.

Great choice for vegetarians. I love the eggplant and the tomato dips/sauces. Also a fan of their spinach paratha(stuffed bread). Their samosas are good… and I’m glad they are vegetarian! :-D Mmm, potatoes! Flavors are right on though… and they also sell the dry packets of the sauces…:-D Prices for their stuff makes it hard for me to get lots of it… so I only buy stuff from here like once a year, and the rest of the time, I just go sample on Tuesdays at the Ferry Building or Sundays at the Heart of the City Farmers Markets. I know that they sell their stuff at Whole Foods Market, if anyone cares…
