Last time I was here it was my boyfriend, and I laying down watching tv. Something told me to get up as I got up I see a bedbug right on my pillow making its way to attack. Luckily the lady at the desk gave great customer service, and offered me another room. So when we got to our next room I checked for bedbugs of course no sign. Became a little more at ease even though the bed was uncomfortable, but I slept like a baby. Next morning as my boyfriend and I woke up his body is cover in bites I silently thought to myself well at least I didn’t get bit. So if you don’t like bugs especially the ones that bite try to avoid sleeping here. No shade Phoenix

286 $ for a week 2 beds up to 4 adults! They lady was awesome and gave good customer service ! You pay for what you get !! And I’m not mad at all overall

I’ve read how bad the reviews were here so I came in knowing already how bad it can be. I asked the desk guy to give me a key so I could check out the second floor rooms which are smoking rooms. The first thing I noticed while walking up the stairs is the stench of weed. Hoodlums are hanging outside on the Main Street which is also where the main entrance is. There are cigarette butts on the stairway. I go to the second floor, there is loud music playing in certain rooms. I go inside the room and the first thing I noticed was this vile smell. I go to the bathroom to number 1, and when I lifted the cover lid, there was a pretty fresh piss stain on the lid with some cigarette ashes and a single pubic hair. The carpet had many stains on them. The room smelled like piss.
I got grossed out and left.
Back at the main desk, I asked the clerk for a key for the first floor, non smoking rooms and when I walked across the hallway, there was still a stench but wasn’t as bad. As I entered the room, there was a smell of air freshener, but you can clearly smell a layer of nasty being covered up. Bathroom was cleaner this time. Carpet was still dirty but not nearly as bad as the smoking room. TV was left on and the channels didn’t work on it, only static.
I am also concerned about the security of this place. If there are already thugs on the streets at this hour (2:45pm local time) what is it going to be like after 9pm?
I asked the clerk and he says it is not so bad and that they’d be there and can call the cops if they see something going down. Easy for him to say since he’d be in his little office with the doors locked and the guests are outside.
As I’m writing this review, I’m still deciding on whether to move on to see if I can find better but it will probably be hard to get a better room for $ 53 around here. That is why I put 2 stars because I know it can always be worse. The clerk was understanding and he knows this motel sucks. I hope this helped whoever is reading.

Like other reviews stated this is not the Ritz this is a budget motel. This was our first time staying at the Phoenix lodge and our first impressions when we seen the room was it smelled like lemon pledge. The second thing we noticed is that the carpets are dirty as hell. The bathroom was average and the a/​c was cold but old. Honestly we had a blast staying their. We had cable tv which is rare for a motel and the maids cleaned and changed our sheets as requested and offered us more towels all the time. I agree its not in the best of neighborhoods but you not in the room all day anyways. I would stay their again because the price was good we had no issues. Though I would request another room. … I need to please this body, I don’t care about your safety, ill be in room 180… working it out…

If it’s convenience and price that you’re looking for then you’ll be just fine. It’s not Le Meridian but it’s cheap, has basic (very basic) amenities, and will keep you warm at night. There’s a Target right down the street so you can stock up on snacks and hang. Might need to open windows to air the place out though. A bit on the smoky side. It’s not the kinda place you wanna stay for more than you have to but if you have to stay somewhere, it’s as good a place as any.

Horrible place, horrible location! The whole place smells like weed.
