The guy at the drive-​thru at night (manager I believe) is extremely nice and they never get our order incorrect. We always come here!

Man o man did I not see this coming so I went in and got 2 jumbo Jacks without cheese the guy overcharged me a little bit less than 6. And that’s not the last of it I ate 75% of one and didn’t even touch the second one because it had a really weird taste and little did I know I was gonna have to run to the bathroom at least 6 times because of this. With that being said yea I wish I could do a negative amount of starts but I can’t. This was on September 30^th of 2015

Marisa in the drive thru was awesome all of our big order was completed perfectly. She honored our coupons and she was very professional. If your a mean bastard leave it at home because this lady works very hard and it shows.

Came here for a quick lunch and the drive thru was super fast.
Food was hot and tasty. The workers were efficient and friendly.

Depends on who is working the shift. Usually hit or miss when it comes to good tasting fast food. I like the fact that recently, their dining in experience has become more diner like and a step up from the fast food. All in all decent fast food. Had very few bad encounters.

i flip him off and drive away.
WTF!!! i didn’t know it was that serious. are we having a ranch drought or something?! cos last time i checked, the drought was due to water shortage. rude ass customer service!!! you could’ve at least been a little nicer and at least said you’re running low or something. burger king, mcd’s and any other place would’ve let me bought extra condiments! never going back to this location. (insert angry face here)

Better In The Past
I went here with my family last night.
There’s a location really close to our house, but I had wanted to go here again for over a year (I went here a few times about 20 years ago, and again a few years later).
Now that my itch has been scratched, I might not return (I was quite disappointed).

The area outside is fairly new and nice.
The seating capacity is only about 25 inside. It was busy here last night (Chabot College is right across the street, and so I found it strange that a bunch of high schoolers came in), and it was hard to move around.
The guy who said something lame to me beat us inside, but he quickly ordered and got out of our way.
My wife was pushing our son in his stroller.
There’s a step to the left of the doors.
She didn’t see it and lightly slipped (it was mainly comical– she wasn’t hurt at all).
Anyway, be mindful of the step.
The interior is nicer now («Modern Family» was on the small TV– as usual, I was mesmerized by Sofía Vergara’s cleavage), but the counter seems to be closer to the doors (my wife and I felt congested while ordering).
Simon Vs. ???:
I didn’t like our cashier, and I’m sure that the feeling was mutual (at one point, it looked like she wanted to say something to me, but held her tongue).
Her name is on the receipt, but I’m not going to provide it (I’ll just say that it’s «different” — my wife was laughing when I tried to pronounce it, and it kind of seems like it was made up).
Anyway, she struggled to take our order. It was a little complicated, but I had to constantly repeat myself. I also had to be firm (I otherwise wouldn’t have received 2 of the items I wanted). I was so frustrated that I almost said to hell with part of the order (I even came close to walking away).
Our order was ready after only about 3 minutes.
For some reason, I was asked if I wanted any «sauce» (it would have made more sense if I was asked if I wanted some ketchup).
I said that I would take some BBQ sauce, and our cashier kind of rudely tossed 2 packets into one of the bags.
Note: All prices include tax.
My wife and I each had Barq’s Root Beer. Mine was a tad watered down, but otherwise fine.

It’s really worth ordering a combo (you basically receive a drink for only $.22).
Our burgers were the way we wanted them.
My patty was a little overcooked, but quite tasty.
Both burgers featured a lot of bacon, and the slices were pretty meaty.
We weren’t given much cheese (my wife pointed this out).

Waffle Breakfast Sandwich ($ 3.26): ⁸⁄₁₀.
My wife and I were both pleased overall.
My sausage patty stole the show. It was juicy and not too fatty.
My «lightly sweetened maple waffles» were wonderful, but overpowering. In other words, I couldn’t fully appreciate everything else (my fried egg was good, but I can’t comment on how my American cheese was).

Epic fail.
(I’m normally a fan.)
My bun was lousy (it was somewhat burnt).
My chicken filet was soft and not very flavorful (it wasn’t «crispy» or «spicy»).
My mayo kind of stood out (I’m clearly searching for some nice things to say), but I really expected more.

The parking lot is kind of small (it’s easy enough to enter and exit, but there are only 11 spots).
Our total was $ 27.28.
My wife liked her food, but mine was hit or miss.
We could have also received better service.

Standard Jack in the Box across the street from Chabot College. Small restaurant and small parking lot. What makes this place different is the large amount of outdoor covered seating.
I happen to like Jack because of its varied menu and use of sourdough and other breads instead of the usual hamburger bun.

Since their food is exactly the same as other Jack in the Box’s, I’d like to talk about the other ‘assets’ of this restaurant.
I had a free birthday dessert coupon that I thought I could redeem a few days after my birthday, so I presented it to the cashier. Not only does the cashier point out my misunderstanding to everyone in the line, she says it out loud so her coworkers can hear as well. Not only did the employees there ridicule me, but they left me embarrassed as well.
As soon as I went in, I left just as quickly.
Not coming back here anytime soon, you should do the same.

Right across my school (Chabot College)
Service was always super slow, even when I was the only customer, I don’t know what they’re doing in there. drinks are not self serve, bathroom door is super small, but at least they have paper towels and a urinal.
2 stars is based on their speed of service. Food is same as all other jack in the boxes.

24 hours. Full menu all day. Fast service.
This jack in the box is my go to place for late night food, or an occasional lunch. They’ve got an outdoor patio area as well as some seats inside. They even have a kind of self service ordering kiosk so you don’t have to wait to order with a live person– great as long as you don’t have coupons.
This location is one of the few places I can think of where I don’t remember ever getting an order wrong or missing food. Everything has always been made with proper portions and good ingredients (for fast food).
I’ve been back here plenty of times and will be back again.

jack in the box wasn’t my choice today. my first choice i couldn’t find. my 2^nd (grand taipei) was closed. since i was curious about the fillet fish, i gave this place a try. the indian cashier (from india) was careful, articulate, cheerful, and patient, attributes almost nonexistent in some fast food eateries.

–chicken sandwich (1): about 4 ounces of whole white breast meat with mayo on a soft bun. mayble less than 4 oz. not much to bit on. pretty small sandwich. barely ok.

–fish fillets sells for 1.79 in concord, 1.49 in hayward while in alameda the price isn’t sven shown on the window. (beware of sticker shock!)
–no parking for commercial rigs so i had to walk to get here.

They had the radio turned to 96.5 KOIT. funny if you ask me, cause I never heard of a fast food joint pouting music from a radio station, live.
The onion rings are terrible since they fall apart easily, and are downright disgusting — BK’s are way better. Service took a little too long, despite no cars at drive thru.
The cheesecake tastes good, but too expensive — $ 1.60 for its meager size. If you don’t like spicy tacos, their tacos are spicy, so avoid those. The curly fries are awesome, and they give you 5 small Churro pieces for a buck, if you have an order of churros.
Another gripe I’ve got about this place is that it’s small as hell. Literally this place is barely larger than my living room, and that’s one type of eating spacing that I’m not visiting again.
