I am literally obsessed with these trails. I have nothing but good things to say. They are incredibly gorgeous, peaceful and perfect. There are lovely trees everywhere. I am sooo happy I discovered them about a month ago. I go at least once a week. I love to hike and these are the most incredible trails I have ever found. I highly recommend them. :)

I haven’t been here, but I was wondering if it was safe? I know I see a lot of homeless around here and there isn’t much security? ??

This trail is very cool. There are lots of shade and trees so it is not too hot. It is a relatively easy hike and not too strenuous for novice hikers. Bring plenty of water though. I would recommend coming back here again.

Its quiet, secluded and has a great view. Great for biking, running, or just going for a stroll.

This is one of the areas of Hayward I like hiking with my dog because it’s pretty quiet, not too strenuous, and has plenty of shade. I usually start at the trail that begins on Campus Drive,(I’m not referring to the one that is close to the Kingdom Hall, but the one across). Note though that there are no dog poop stations with available poop bags, so it’s a good idea to bring your own. I’ve hiked a small part of this particular trail with my dog, and we both like it as it is moderately strenuous, and it seems to be that way the whole way through(I haven’t hiked the whole trail yet) giving us a pretty good workout(this satisfies me more than it does my dog!). I’ve only hiked in the mornings and early afternoons, but the trail here seems to be pretty quiet and I have had little to no encounters with other hikers, bikers or horseback riders(according to the sign at the trailhead, this trail is used for hiking and horseback riding). It’s also a big plus that there is plenty of shade here, due to all the trees, especially when the sun is at its brightest. Sometimes, I like straying from the main trail, and I like following a series of short trails that take you to a small creek; in many parts, the creek is visible from the main trail. One other thing is that you’ll also come across a few picnic tables somewhere near the beginning of the hike, which would make for an interesting place and setting to have a picnic.
