This restaurant used to be Dennys and now it’s Cocos! Tried their breakfast entrees and it was pretty darn good. Everything is fresh and tasty too! It’s always busy anytime of day, especially during the weekends.

So my mom sent to me to go buy her Starbucks, and you know I love my mom so I went. It was 11:30 am and I still had not eaten breakfast. It was toss up between this and McDonalds. But McD’s breakfast end at 10 or something): so yeah. I ordered the breakfast sandwich, idk what it’s called. Added Avocado to it: shmack. They should take out that spinachy stuff tho. They should hire some fire tho, then it would get 5 stars.

Who says the best place to buy pies is Nation’s? Guess again! I only stopped by this place was because i didn’t know where to eat for dinner tonight. It’s 9 pm on a cold, rainy, and wet day. Im hungry. Its december it’s the holidays and i want to be mr. Scrooge. So why not try this place instead of my usual look on Unilocal and read the ratings. It wasnt until i was here sat down and looked at the menu that i look at Unilocal. For all those who had a bad experience, id like to apologize to you because i had a super duper great experience dinning here tonight. This would be an american diner experience but its not an ihop, dennys or even black bear diner. It has a homely feel and you can tell its like family run kind of place. Of the bat they have a wonderful and pretty healthy menu: wild caught fishes, grass fed beef etc. usually you dont judge a book by its cover, but these pictures in the menu were pretty darn accurate. Tonight with my bf i ordered the rib eye medium rare and roasted turkey dinner. Ribeye: it actually came out medium rare! Bone in big slab Nicely seasoned and juicy. With a side of fresh veggies(and i mean hot burnt my tongue fresh) of cauliflower, broccoli and carrots and baked potato side. Roasted turkey: buttered and nicely seasoned stuffing with veggies chunks you can see. Fresh side veggies of cauliflowers, broccoli and carrots. Gravy all over the pile turkey and creamy mashed potatoes(with a hint of sour cream). Big plus for the carrots being sweet and all the veggies not over cooked and soggy! Portions were pretty darn big. And great pricing on the menu thats actually worth the food. Not over greasy and delicious that doesnt make you feel bloated or ugh like dennys and ihop. They have great options if meals that come with the pie! Other words most slices are 3.69. I had the dutch apple pie. I dont like crust too much and the crumbles looked like a good alternative. Great flakey crust. The pie was much more delicious than i expected. The apples were granny smiths. The slice of pie was like 1⁄5 of a whole pie. Very fresh pie and you can definitely taste that its fresh. Not soggy at all. They even warmed it up for me too. Just like apple pies should be. My bf had the banana cream pie. Homemade whipped cream. Not overly sweet. And normally i dont like banana cream pies because its just too much banana and too sweet. Super creamy and great portions of cream and banana to crust ratio. It was so good that Tonight i bought a whole pie home. I’ll admit service took a big longer than i thought but it was justified. tonight i had 1 server to the restaurant tonight(remember it’s the last hour) he was hosting 6 family tables and a few people at the bar all to himself. And there was only one chef. I gave him a extra few dollars on the table aside from the total on the bill. This place is great. Big bang for your buck. The pies are mouth watering delicious. And its actually pretty cheap for a whole pie(almost the same price as luckys and safeway) and they taste wayyyyyy better! And for reference i took a bunch of pictures of my meal tonight. Please come give this place a try. I know it has bad reviews for service. But food and the pie is pretty awesome. Even if its just for the pie. Its awesome! And for reference i took lots of pictures too.

Cocos is a great quality diner. Love coming here any time of the day. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner this place has it all. I’ve only had excellent service and a great time every time. The prime rib and sandwiches are my go to meals. Show these folks some love and get down here!

Why’d they close? They were consistently good — food, service. What a shame.

Review for take out of pie only. I have to say i miss Baker’s Square with their ‘pies’ such as lemon supreme or caramel pecan silk supreme, french apple cream cheese… Mmmmmmmmm but i digress… Coco’s is prob the closest thing to it in the area and isn’t bad! Dutch apple pie with streudel and a pumpkin harvest are delicious! This place needs to get a little bit more organized as I HAD to make eye contact with someone to get a pie… and when Zena did help she was very helpful in making a selection of their variety of pies.

These people are idiots. My boyfriend brought me home a French dip, and granted he should have checked it before he left, but they forgot to include the au jus. Are you kidding me? That’s the WHOLEPOINTOF A FRENCHDIP. I would never go to this place on that basis alone. They obviously don’t have common sense at this place.

There’s a limited time promotion where kids eat free! I was surprised when we first entered – there is a classic diner feel, festive holiday decorations and a separate room for private parties. The workers and servers were kind and easy going; this should be a given at any customer service job, but it’s not always the case. We overheard the workers singing in the kitchen – I can see how this can be a bad thing for some people, but we didn’t mind. Why? It was something different and it shows that the people who work together get along. There’s nothing worse than the feeling of a restaurant team that does not get along or communicate; its like being in the middle of fighting parents. just awkward. The breakfast food is exactly what you would hope to get when you order from a diner: the country potatoes, sausage, eggs, french toast – classic breakfast comfort food. The pancakes however, are superior and memorable. It’s probably my new favorite place for pancakes.

Worst customer service ever. Like so many tables open and ready. A line for people to sign it and no one was there to take care of the line. Need more servers especially on a busy Saturday morning. I don’t know why I keep coming here. The food even took longer to come. Please do something about it because the food is great but bad service.

Waited 30 mins to be seated even when there were so many tables open. It’s been 45 mins since we ordered & we’re still waiting… Worst customer service ever…

My husband and I wanted to eat some breakfast and I thought since we were right by Coco’s they serve pretty decent food there. We were eventually seated — it was Friday morning after Thanksgiving so we expected maybe a bit of a wait. Our waitress came pretty quick and took our drink orders. From there it went down hill. We didn’t get our food for almost 35 minutes. The wait staff were confused and not checking on their tables, missing tables who maybe needed their coffee or water refilled. The manager was equally incompent so once our food finally came out cold of course we ate some of the food, paid the bill and left. Poor food, service and overall poor experience.

Waited 20 minutes for our drinks. Waited an additional hour after our order was taken to be told that our order never went in. Wasn’t offered an appetizer or anything while we waited(and we have a 3 year old with us who was not dealing with the wait well). Once food finally came out, one of the 3 orders was wrong. Every table around us seemed to have issues. One group had to ask two different people for their check several times before it came. Everyone seemed to have trouble getting refills. General chaos. This is my first and last time ever coming here.

Dropped in sunday morning, instantly greeted and serviced. noticed many waitresses on duty eats: lemon meringue pie(7.99, special) –tasted too sweet, some tartness present –regular 11.99 –no pie pan deposit required like Baker’s Square. pie 3ish for value. crumbs: –entrance near driveway, beware of incoming, outgoing cars. –waitress pleasant, took time to carefully package pie.

Jesus almighty is the wait ridiculous. Not to be seated but to be helped. Sat there for about 10 minutes and THEN ordered drinks and food. Maybe about 20+ minutes later the food came out. I wish I could say it was due to the high volume of customers but that is not the case. It was actually a really slow day. Our server Gloria was taking care or a relatively large party right before we arrived but even then she had already brought out their food long before out and I don’t think it takes over 25 minutes for some eggs and pancakes. She was trying but I feel like if you’re in the service industry you’re multi tasking skills and your sense of urgency should be more advanced. The last thing to top this odd was that I had to get my own water after she forgot to bring it out. She asked if we needed anything else, I said a water and she just didn’t bring it out. I got up went to the kitchen area and had to ask another waitress for the water. Just unacceptable. I come here because the food is good. The service is just a drag. I recommend this place to friends and family but I always warn them about the service. Good food Good hospitality Slow service

I came today for breakfast. .I arrived 850am. I was seated after 10−15mins…6 tables where occupied and 2 guys in the bar table. I ordered smoked godah and hash omelette. And extra fruits. instead I got all my hashbrown incorporated in my omelette. Then I asked the lady for a butter, she told me «your bread has butter already, do you need more?!»… ive bern coming here more than twice… I know the bread has a butter… hello! Anyway, poor service today. I dont know if lack of people or the server are just taking time talking in the pantry before they clean the tables and seat the patrons.

I am not too sure about all of these bad reviews??? Given that all restaurants in this block is fast food I wanted to have a relaxing dinner plus I like cocos pies so thought to come in and try it out. Erik the waiter welcomed me with a smile. Started off with tomato biscuit which was the bomb. They didn’t have the prime rib so I had to settle for NY steak as I am a meat lover. It was medium rare. Exactly what I wanted. Erik did check in a few times and so did the manager. That was nice. They need some air fresheners. There’s certainly a weird smell in this place. Overall I was very please with their service and food.

I went here around 10am with my family and there was only one waitress taking orders for about 10 tables. Although she was extremely friendly, we all felt bad for her because she was rushing around when there were 2 workers by the pies doing nothing. It took a while for us to get our food. Even though we were a pretty big group(7), there were a few tables who got their orders before us, despite sitting down after us. I got an omelettte and it was okay. I had better in my college dining hall, to be honest. I also felt queasy the rest of the day. I don’t think I’ll be coming back here. Next time, I’ll just stick with IHOP.

Live this place. It’s very inexpensive, good size portions, and good food. It’s not out of your mind, have to try it, but you can feed 2 and have one of their delish pies for about $ 20. Not bad

the service is horrible. i came here to get a quick fix of apple pie á la mode. i was waiting for someone to help me get my order or atleast greet me and offered a table. but no one did. took them more than 20 mins to ask for my order and the place was not even busy that time… i wouldve given this place 5 stars for the pie, but because of the sucky service, unfortunately, i have to deduct points… will probably come back but will just order pies to go. update: adding 1 star because of our server today. he was the only guy whos serving 6 tables but he made sure that hes taking good care of his customers. i could tell that he was really tired but still manages to ask us how we r doin/if we need anything… in addition, the grilled chicken was tasty. :) up 1 star.

Curiosity arises when you pass a restaurant dozens of times and wonder, «Why does that place look deserted?» Coco’s never failed to make me question what the possibilities were as to why the restaurant got less action than a catholic nun. Was there an e-coli/salmonella scandal that haunts Coco’s for eternity? Is customer service a living hell? Is this restaurant a cover-up business for the Mexican drug cartel? I had to check Coco’s to find out, and by the end of my visit, I still didn’t get my answer. This restaurant functions like a Marie’s calender, IHOP, and Sizzlers combined into one store. The desserts and pastries are apart of Coco’s main appeal. A dessert bar is located at the entrance, which sell ready-to-eat sweets. Everything there looked so tempting, but I would hate myself even more if any of those desserts made its way to my thighs. To avoid the potential self-abuse, I ignored the dessert bar and told the host that I was going to dine-in, and was sat instantly. The menu offers a typical American cuisine standard to a lot of restaurants. i.e. burgers, chicken strips, soups, etc., and also serves food fit for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I ordered two appetizers which were the onion strings and chicken strips because I’m cheap and broke. And my friend went for the chicken alfredo pasta. The quality of our food was average. It wasn’t too bad but it wasn’t anything to die for. Same goes for the service. Overall, I wouldn’t mind returning here every once in a while. It’s uninhabited appearance doesn’t do Coco’s any justice. P. S. Sorry for trying to steal a cookie from the dessert bar…
