The relax and chic atmosphere makes this place the most beautiful patisserie in Prince William County. The pastries are divine and elegantly presented. Call your friends and family and enjoy a «trip» to Paris in the beautiful Dominion Valley neighborhood. The owner and Pastry Chef is very nice.

The owner is very nice and attentive. She was with us from the moment we opened the door and was great with our toddler. The presentation and taste of her pastries make it evident that she is professionally trained. You would be right to believe that the prices are a little bit high, but the reason for that is that the pastries are full of taste and a little goes a long way. The lemon merengue tart is about the moat delicious tart I have tasted. The chocolate tart is made of rich dark chocolate and is well balanced and semi-sweet.

I have been to Paris dozens of times over the past 20 years. This is definitely NOT a French bakery! I went in Sunday morning. I held the door open for two other women. No one else was in the place. The young girl behind the counter asked me if it was my first time in the place and explained the very limited offerings. I purposely went in to try the neighborhood roasted coffee, Monument Coffee. I ordered a small quiche and a small regular coffee. It came to $ 11.13! For a regular 8 oz. cup of coffee I paid $ 4.50. I told the girl this was really expensive and she replied«I don’t set the prices»! She never asked me if I wanted my quiche heated, but she heated it in a microwave — the French would rather die than do that. All this while the two women who came in right after me were waiting. The girl never acknowledged them. Macaron Tart I will say my «good-byes» now. I am positive you will not last a year. So many things wrong here. Your prices are outrageous. Why would I pay $ 4.50 + tax for a cup of watered down awful tasting coffee when I could walk a few steps over to Starbucks, pay half, and get a great cup of coffee. Your quiche was a 5 out of 10. Heating it in the microwave is a big no-no. I felt like I was sitting in a jail cell. The entire place is gray — walls, tables, chairs. Not a happy feeling place. If you are looking for a French Bakery/Café steer clear of Macaron Tart!

I think when you try a restaurant or bakery for the first time, you need to pick an item that best exemplifies their niche. I bypassed the cupcakes in favor of two tarts to take home on a Friday night. I chose the chocolate tart for my husband. It had black raspberries and a vanilla macaron on top. My husband has a sweet tooth to rival the best of them, and he loved it. The macaron was quite good as well. I chose a lemon tart topped with meringue. It was delicious! The lemon filling was fresh, and had a perfect balance between sweet and tart. The crust was awesome, flaky and light. I can be very critical on the crust front. The surprise was the meringue, it wasn’t an afterthought, instead it was such an unexpected bonus. The meringue was silky smooth and just the right amount of sweetness. So my thoughts are these: give this shop time to find its footing. The true french style pastries that we tried were spot on. They need to key in on their best offerings, fine tune any trouble spots, and I gather spend some more time getting to know their espresso machine. In my own experience, espresso machines require quite a bit of trial and error. I wish them the best, and really hope they can make a success of this shop.

Ive given this place every chance i could by trying it several times. The macarons are ok at best… the other tarts i have tried were always dry and didn’t taste very good. I even ordered a pumpkin holiday pie/tart over thanksgiving(79 dollars) and it was so bland its like they didn’t use any sugar… no one at my house ate it! Im Srry i would have love to see this place succeed but i cant waste any more money here. Also its always so dark in there and they have nothing on the windows so you can barely even tell the place is open. I wish them the best!

I’ve been in to Macaron Tart three times now. The first time I ordered a double shot espresso machiatto — with a bit of foam on top — to drink in. It was terrible. It was like a cup filled with diluted espresso and hot dairy. Nothing foamy about it.(See the attached pic). Next time I decided to try their coffee. Apparently they don’t offer regular coffee. I was offered an Americano — so I went with that — to go. It was so bland, weak, and watery that I took two tastes and then threw it out. The last time I came in, I ordered one of their quiches to go — similar to a Quiche Lorraine. Texture was nice, but it was so bland it could have been called anything. I sincerely hope their baked goods are better. I won’t be back to have more of their coffee/espresso — that’s for sure. Maybe they’ll improve over time. I wish them success.

Stopped in here after seeing it advertised in a local newspaper. So glad I stopped in. The staff was knowledgeable and patient, and the macarons, as well as the lamingtons, were lovely. This would be an ideal place to hang out with laptop and work, or meet with friends.

So, my husband and I went to a nearby restaurant to pick up some take out and my eyes almost popped out when I saw this adorable Macaron Tart bakery. I love macarons and had just purchased some from Wegmans which happens to get theirs from France believe it or not. I told my husband we just had to go in. The owner was very sweet and inviting. I got one macaron at almost $ 3 just to try it and he decided to try a cupcake. He can never stay away from sweets despite his growing waist line. On the way back to the car, I bit into my macaron. I was underwhelmed. What I expected to be amazing, taste like it should come from the supermarket while the ones I just got from the supermarket are simply delicious. Don’t get me wrong, it had a crisp shell and soft center but the flavor was just okay. A minute later my husband handed over his cupcake and told me I could have it… Wait… What!!! You’re giving up your sweets!!! He tells me «it’s dense and nasty». I took a bite and oh man! It was like a brand new dry sponge. Yes! A new sponge for washing dishes, hard and firm(no I’ve never eaten a sponge but can imagine). No flavor, completely dry and dense. The chocolate was as firm as paint on a wall. The shop owner told me they had been there a month. The cupcake tasted like it was from the grand opening. While the pastries«should» taste great, my experience anything but great. I will never again buy from this place again. Not sure how long this place will be around with pastries that are old, dried and over priced. I wish I could give it a better review but a box cake baked in an easy bake oven would’ve probably been better. Very disappointed. See my photo.

Macaron Tart makes me almost want to move back to Virginia from California. It’s that good! The owner Elena is very sweet and works very hard to make sure everything about her bakery and foods and sweets are 100% perfect! My aunt told me about this place when I came visiting in town and I just had to go. If you practice under the best pastry chef in France you should have some pretty tasty things :) My aunt bought a Macaron Tart for my family for Thanksgiving and WOW! The macarons are so sweet and light and flavorful and the tart is something I’ve never had but was equally delicious! I love supporting small businesses and i absolutely adore this place! Best of luck Macaron Tart! :D
