Capone’s Pub & Grill

Nothing special at all. Service was good, food was very bland, just very okay. I will not be returning anytime soon unless someone else is paying.

After having a good meal at Capone’s in CDA, the Hayden location is a real disappointment. Although the place could use a good cleaning, the real disappointment was the food and the staff response to the poor quality. After waiting 45 minutes for food to arrive our pizza was cold. The waitress took it back and offered to make a new one, shortly thereafter the «manager (the guy with the cleanest dirty shirt)» came by. Rather than apologizing, he said that he watched our pizza get made and delivered and there was no time lost for it to get cold. The process doesn’t matter, the result is what matters, and the result was serving a cold pizza.
This place needs a good cleaning and an attitude adjustment. Rather than right a wrong, the manager assured we would never return.

This place is Awesome! We like that it’s family friendly, enjoy the monthly wings specials, the garlic fries are the BOMB and fresh at that, gluten free options, portions are huge, and the staff are always friendly! Support local family owned businesses!

I have eaten at all of Capone’s locations and they are all great. This location in Hayden is mine and my kids favorite. It is our go to spot for an early Sunday dinner or just a cold beer and snacks. Football season is always great at Capone’s. Their entire staff at all locations are awesome, quick, courteous, and knowledgeable about the food and beer. If you want great company, great food, and an amazing selection of beer look no further.

Took the family to lunch on 2÷10÷16 and the food was very good. The service was horrible, took about 10 min for somone to come to our table and ask about drinks and how many people we had. We where waiting on others to show up (about 10min later) the waters finnaly came. They where not busy at all with about 6 tables of people in restaurant. I could go on and on about how the wait staff that day did not do a great job, maybe cought them on an off day. The food on other hand was awsome. I had the french dip with onions, mushrooms, bacon and pepperjack. Sando was hot and full of flavor. Thank you for actually putting more then a tablespoon of veggies on as well. Alot of places skim on the sauteed good stuff that lifts the sandwich to the next level. All the others seemed to enjoy there lunchs as well.

It’s a great casual environment to have a meal with friends or family. It is kid friendly, the bar area is separate.
The restaurant can get loud at times. The food is very solid!

We’ve been here several times and not as often as we’d like because when they’re busy, it gets loud. All of their locations share this particular problem. At any rate, we went right at opening today and it wasn’t loud, so that’s the trick if you like to be able to have a conversation with your dining partner (s).
It wasn’t too packed today and shortly after we found a booth, a family of four sat in the adjoining booth. Their child was pretty active and I kept getting bumped, but I have a pretty good tolerance for that kind of stuff. Our server was a bit slow but did take our initial drink orders (water). As he came by a second time, I asked for coffee, which he got and delivered. Note: he still had not taken our food order and we had already put the menus away.
On his third pass, he stopped at the family of four and took their order. Remember, they came in after us. My husband noted that his tip amount was declining and I quipped that perhaps he wouldn’t get one at all. He finally came to us, apologized for the wait, and took our orders. My husband ordered the pastrami sandwich and I ordered the fish taco special.
Our food came out quickly and was delicious. The fish was done perfectly, as was the sandwich. Good flavor and texture and not overly greasy, which often happens with pub food.
When our server brought our food, I asked how long he had been waiting tables. He answered that he had been working at Capone’s for four months, but that he’d worked off and on for six years as a bartender. He explained that waiting tables is significantly different than bartending and showed us his section. He apologetically told us that he became overwhelmed when his section filled up all at the same time. Well, that makes a ton of sense to me, so all was forgiven and we gave him a hefty tip because clearly he was doing the best he could.
We’ll be back, I’m sure, but more than likely always at opening.

Why is it I am always disappointed in the food at Capones in Hayden? Thought I would give it another try after 2 years. Had one of their hamburger plates. On a scale of 1 – 10 it was a 2. The burger was dry. The onions they put on were bottom of the pan. Should have been tossed. Couldn’t chew them. The fries tasted like they were cooked the night before. The only thing that was good was my granddaughters spicy potato salad. We ate at Capone on 4 th 2 weeks prior and loved it. I guess I won’t waste my Time or money at the one in Hayden.

As always atmosphere was great, beer selection the best, staff are awesome and of course the food is best around. I’ve never had a bad meal or experience at any of the 3 locations they have.

The service here is friendly and great. Their food is so good. I have not eaten anything here that I have not loved. Definitely one of my favorite places to eat.

Killer burger… REAL meat and a delicious salad for me. A+. Lots of beers on tap and casual atmosphere. Reasonably priced too.

I love Capones. I usually go to the one in Hayden. I love the pesto Caesar! I always get good service and I highly recommend!

Thai chicken pizza is great. Just had lunch there for the first time. Will definitely go back. Very friendly staff and lots of stuff to look at on the walls. Forty. some beers on tap.

Was on vacation and had to try Capones after seeing it on diners and dives. Pizza was really good, the dough was probably the best I ever had. Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Can’t wait to come back and try more things on the menu.

Absolutely love it here. Been coming to cda area for years to vacation. Can’t believe it took this long to visit. We had a table of 13, adults and kids. Kids had macaroni and it looked awesome. Not the cheap dry stuff. I Had the pastrami sub. It was perfectly cooked, not dry with just enough kick. I also tried the meatball sub, could’ve used a more spice for my taste but good. The fresh buns were soft and chewy, perfect for me as a bread fanatic.
The service was top notch. I will go back because the menu and service.

Our first time. I had the chicken pesto salad… Excellent! The focaccia bread is delicious. The cheese cake is illegal in some states as it tastes so good. Service is prompt and courteous.

Had the Italian beef and I was not very impressed with it at all but I guess I was expecting similar to the yummy ones I’ve had in Chicago. The place was not very busy but our server seemed to ignore us. Since it wasn’t busy we did get to enjoy being at ease to sit and visit with each other. Will give it another visit and try something different to eat.

Capones is the bees knees! Guy I love this place. I usually go here with my dad and brother to kick back have a few beers and watch our team win of course. haha
I highly recommend going here. The owners are great and my dad has treated them and been friends with them for a long time. However, the reason I am writing this review is because the food at Capone’s Pub & Grill never disappoints.

So glad that they have added the Hayden location. Love riding my bicycle to the one on Fourth Street, but for a quick Capone’s fix I can just ride a few short blocks for a great selection of craft beer and pub food!

I read the reviews and my mom and dad brag about this place a lot so I was excited and had high hopes… I got the cheesy burger and I guess I just should have ordered a bigger one because it didn’t fill me up (I’m a small girl who usually can’t finish her plate) I left wanting to go out somewhere else. Never a good sign. But it was good, and I would go back and give a few more menu items a try.
I guess it could have been my mistake to sit by the pinball machine, but I tried to place myself away from everyone else in case my daughter woke up in her carseat and someone came over and played the game right by her head. I was just surprised at the thoughtlessness… but that isn’t a reflection on the place, just the people who go there I suppose.
Our waiter was friendly and very laid back and casual. I usually like a more hands on waiter that is really interested in what can be bettered. But the whole place had the laid back vibe.
