We have been staying here for the week spring break the past few years and tonight the manager named Emily Kirwin was rude at one of our older family members because he was looking for a spoon in the breakfast area. There was a long line at the front desk and she told him he would have to wait there. It was not so much that she directed him there, it was the her disrespectful attitude to a customer that was not helpful. Be forewarned not to go in the breakfast area at any time other than breakfast looking for a utensil.

When I made my reservation on the 1800 number, it was redirected to a foreign line that was clearly VOIP with echoes and a bad connection. The operator reserved my room, but based on a price they told me that was 60% of the price of the actual reservation when I arrived. Turned on the shower/bath knob, but once on, the knob would only spin and was not able to regulate temperature or turn the water off. I put my clothes back on, called the front desk, and the maintenance guy changed the part as the inside had rusted away. I cut myself and went down to the main desk to get a band aid, and though the front desk clerk thought he had them, after looking, he decided they ran out. Room was fine, but it was clear that very few rooms were being occupied. An area without many hotels, this was the only real choice to be close to my early meeting, but with lots of little problems, I’ll try for an AirBnB next time.

I think this is my new favorite economy lodging. Everyone was very helpful, the room was surprisingly large with thoughtful amenities, temperature was always comfortable and most importantly, extremely clean. One star off for the production necessary to get to the pool — you have to first report to the front desk before walking to the pool door, pressing the buzzer where they will then buzz you in.

They really exceeded my expectations. Large rooms, flat panel TV, and a decent breakfast. There is ample parking and check in was a breeze. I really liked the nightstand that had two outlets and two USB ports right next to the lamp, which is a very nice touch. I was glad I could open my window as well. My only issue is that being tall(6’3) the shower sucks… The shower head is barely chest high and the shower itself has a very low ceiling. Maybe 6’5″. So if you are short then it will be fine, but watch out my fellow giants…

Staff were nice. Hotel lobby was clean. Room was spacious and far larger than I’m used to when staying in New York. Carpet desperately needs a shampooing. Mattress was typical and uncomfortable. Pillows were uncomfortable. The blackout drapes are there only for show… They don’t cover the window. I had the parking lot lights illuminating the room all night. Proximity to restaurants, historical sites, and freeway is fantastic.

Hotels in this area are few and far between. But for $ 200 I don’t think its too much to expect for the A/C– heat to work and the safe to actually lock! There was no air flow in the room and with 90 degree weather you can imagine the heat!

Especially for the price-level, this Inn is more than 4 stars. Other than cold coffee in the Lobby at 10 pm, everything about this place is very, very nice — neat, clean, well-laid-out. My room was amazing for the price. I totally recommend this Inn to anyone who needs lodging in the area.
