Lovely location, nice food, but horrible service. Just horrible service. I do not know if it was the kitchen or wait staff, but the time between delivering the food for the first person and the last person at our small table was15 to 20 minutes. Preferences for items on the plate were carefully taken and then completely ignored.

Called in to reserve and they had me waiting for about 4 minutes and no one answered so i hung up. I called again and again put me on hold so i made a reservation with open table and finally got it done. The food was okay. They put on the same sauce for most special rolls so they taste really similar. The food tasted alright for the price. The service was terrible. We asked for glass of wine and she brought out the bottle and tried to get us to buy the bottle. She came about twice and took forever with our check even when we said we were in a hurry. Overall okay sushi but service made me give 2 stars instead of 3

Worst food & even poorer service! Cannot even cook a hotdog. Gives fries instead of salad, brings 12 oysters instead of 6.

Beautiful spot along the 18th hole of the golf course. Varied menu with lots of price points. Our group had the pork Katsu don which is as amazing and as good as our favorite spots in ny. We had one sushi special(8 pieces) and a spicy tuna roll. Simply delicious. Service and as just ok, but we were enjoying the great views and food. Salad dressing was also fabulous. We will definitely be back and a nice break from the hotel food around the pool.

I’ve eaten here a couple times, and have local friends and family that frequent the restaurant more often. While, a lot of the food can be good(especially the sushi) the service has been consistently poor across all of our visits. The concept of providing food for an entire table for a single course seems incredibly illusive to the staff, and unfortunately there doesn’t appear to be any senior personnel or manager anywhere in the mix(unless I’ve missed them). Here’s the thing, if a table sits down to dinner with 2 — 4 people they want to eat their meals together. Otherwise, they wouldn’t have gone out together to a restaurant and asked to sit at the same table. The occasional extra minute or two for a dish is completely acceptable, but 15 — 20 minutes where someone’s food is getting cold is not acceptable. In response, our waitress told us next time we should give her a heads up that we want our meals ready at the same time. I wanted to direct her to the wizard of Oz in case he had some spare common sense on special. She also mentioned they didn’t have heat lamps. It was difficult to understand how either of these items were my problem. This is not a tapas restaurant. They have full set dinner items on their menu. What they don’t have are chefs that can prioritize tickets efficiently so a single table can get their food at the same time. On this last visit the service, the food and quality of ingredients was awful. If this restaurant hopes to service, they need to turn it around and get a serious manager on board to direct the staff appropriately.

Just got back from eating dinner here based on the generally positive reviews, but neither my wife or myself were impressed at all. The food wasn’t bad but it wasn’t anything exceptional. My wife’s reaction to the Sushi Special was literally«Ehh. It was okay». I on the other hand saw they had a Ahi Katsu on the menu and thought it might be interesting. In reality it’s painfully overcooked tuna that I felt bad eating, and have to think the chef felt bad preparing. It was not what I expected, with the fish cut so thin that there’s no way it wouldn’t be completely well done with that preparation. My first bite I thought maybe they’d accidentally brought out tonkatsu(pork) instead, and to my horror realized that was the ahi. The service was shameful though, which there really is no excuse for given that the restaurant had more staff than there were seated tables at the time we were there. My katsu came out before we were even half-finished with the soup and salad. We were told my wife’s sushi was coming just behind it, so I decided to wait so we could eat together. «Right behind» ended up meaning ten minutes, which is an awful long time for a fried katsu dish to sit on a plate. The rice was forgotten, and I had to specifically request them to bring it. They also forgot to bring spoons for the soup and to bring the small dipping trays for soy sauce/wasabi with the sushi. This was strictly amateur hour, and negatively impacted our meals. Nothing we ate stood out. The service stood out as a negative.

Came here for lunch passing through back to the hotel on my honeymoon. Sushi was decent and view over the golf course and ocean in thee distance was fitting on the veranda.

4 stars for the quality and authenticity of the food and reasonable price. 2 stars for lacks of ambiance and music. The waiters are running all over the place due to lack of experience and staff… I would come back here again for the food

Good food. Their sushi and sashimi is fresh and good. The options in the«from the ocean» are good too. The restaurant is not very big but all the tables have a good view of the golf course and ocean. The price is very reasonable. My wife and I like it very much. It’s a good place to eat when you live in the Mauna Lani Bay resort.

The food was ok. The service was TERRIBLE. They brought out all of our food minus our son’s meal. We literally had to remind our waitress several times about the missing food. About 30 minutes later, the food finally made its way out. After all that time, the chicken was… undercooked. Such a disappointment.

Wow! This sushi was so fresh! Hands down best sushi I’ve ever had! We ordered a few rolls to share and the sashimi platter, everything was great. My husband and I got halfway through the meal and said we don’t know how were ever gonna have sushi somewhere else after we get home lol

The way the menu described the food was better than the food actually was. The miso soup was bland and the chicken was the same quality you would expect from a fast food Chinese joint.

We enjoyed a delightful lunch. The sushi was fresh and delicious, very good quality. There were some unique rolls to choose from. Also enjoyed the tofu agadashi. We had great service as well.

Great views of the golf course and resort. I had the chef sampler platter, 15 pieces of sashimi of the chef’s choice. The fish was tasty, but not much on the plate. It seemed they took a normal sized squid nigiri and sliced it 5 times for Ika sashimi. The atmosphere is good and the staff are friendly, I just wasn’t expecting such small portions of sashimi, but it is a resort…
