If I were to describe the happiness of a child in his summertime, it’d be the story of Topher’s. Anything I could imagine to stuff my face with is probably served here. I want fries? They’ve got fries. I want a brownie? They’ve got brownies. I want peanut butter and jelly on my burger? Done.
This place has begun expanding the last years and I hope they cover the entire U.S. eventually. It’s good food that’s proven itself in Hattiesburg — for cheaper than you’ll get it anywhere else.

Service is awful. Ordered two burgers 30 mins ago and am still currently waiting. Staff seems in no hurry and like they care less about trying to get the order complete. Will never come back or recommend anyone to come try.

One of the top 5 burgers I have ever had. Delicious hamburgers, and awesome service. The people that own it are really sweet! Every time we go back it just as good!

EDIT: loosing interest, can’t eat here as much due to the recent price spike, they may have sealed their fate with that, especially if the quality doesn’t come up with the price.
Good food, fresh burger! Sometimes the fries are old or reheated but they getting better with every visit, they haven’t screwed up my order yet so the more successful visits I have, the more often I’ll visit.
This is currently the ONLY burger joint in the area that I look forward to visiting!
* Reluctant to give four stars because the place is so filthy.
* Could’ve easily gotten five stars if they moved their carry outs as quick as their drive thru’s.

You cannot find a better burger in this world than Topher’s! I have had the mushroom swiss, and the pepper jack, and can’t bring myself to try any others because these two are so good! Also, for those days I’m eating light, the Sweet Heat Chicken Salad is sublime. The guys over on Broadway know what they’re doing.

What an amazing restaurant experience! This place is very clean, efficient and has a very friendly staff. The owner seems to always be there and is always very friendly. He offers a very warm welcome to everyone and this seems to make the place so much nicer than it already is.
If you have never tried a peanut butter burger, you absolutely must do so!

Great price, great food. It’s like a fast food style restaurant but way better. It’s a little ways off the highway if you are passing through town as we were but we were glad we went. Nice surprise.

Every time I pass through Hattiesburg I have not been disappointed by this place. The employees are ALWAYS nice and willing to suggest things for you maybe things you have not tried before. The place is clean from the door to the bathroom. They deliver your food to your table and come around to ask if everything is ok unlike your other fast food places. They also served made to order beignets and milk shakes. A place the kids will love. A bit loud in there if you don’t mind playing great music, a place to just enjoy and hang out. Recommend to everyone.

Considered fast food, Unilocal should put it in a new category called gourmet fast food. I was very surprised the quality of food this local MS chain cooked up. For the price, its a great value. I had the Bacon Bleu Burger and onion rings. The sour dough buns are a great touch! Next time I want to try the Aleppo Cheddar bun. Onion rings were just right, big and non-​greasy. I topped everything off with a Ghirardelli Brownie shake. Hmmm, Hmmmm, good!

I am going to get FAT! The food was excellent, prices are great (you get A LOT of food) and the kids meal are under $ 4.00. I didn’t have the guts to try the peanut butter burger, so I got onion rings and the mushroom swiss burger. Staff was freindly. I have nothing but good things to say…
