On our way home and by reviewing Unilocal as a guide we stopped here for some BBQ. Well… Let’s just say I wished we didn’t. The restaurant and customer service was good which gave it one star. The food was sub par. I had the turkey sandwich and it was from processed meat. My husband’s sandwich had three meats and the meat was dry with little taste. Ordered hot wings as a backup and they ended up being frozen taking right out of the freezer and over seasoned . After this meal we had to stop and get something else to eat.

If the owners can get a more visible location, this place will explode. The Burnt Ends are top shelf and the smoked meats are great. Portions are ample and the sides are well prepared. The unique part is the sauces, the two that are offered are tasty, would just like to see a few more options along that line.

Now I know why I’ve always said I don’t like beef brisket-I have never in my life tasted brisket as awesome as Keasters! Savory, tender and juicy. Definitely the highlight of the meal. How could it get any better? Also a notch above ordinary were the lemon and chocolate ice box pies, they tasted fresh and satisfyingly sweet, enough to finally shut my sweet tooth up.

Great Barbecue. Always helpful and friendly… But honestly, the food is really good! The brisket and pulled pork really shine, but the sides(especially the mac and cheese) are excellent.

This is by far the best barbecue in town. They have excellent smoked meats, beef, chicken, and pork. The sides are good as well. Desserts are ok. Their advertising and signage are terrible. If someone hadn’t told us about this place, we would never have found it!

Horrible road signage. Had to call to find location but well worth effort. We got a whole rack of ribs. Moist, tender & good smoke ring. Loved the fries too! Will be back to try other items. One of the BBQ spots in Hattiesburg.

On our way home we stopped in here to try the BBQ and we were very pleased with both the BBQ and the service. We had the pulled pork sandwich combo with sweet sauce. Very good !!! Highly recommended !

Enjoyed the rubbed brisket and smoked sausage by the pound. Both sides were excellent; coleslaw and cheesy potatoes(potatoes au gratin). I like potatoe salad, but none is offered. The staff is intellegent and anxious to please. All very neat and clean; unlike another BBQ mainstay in the ‘Burg. I’ll be back again soon!

Went to Keaster’s on a Saturday night wanting to try something new. Figured it would be the same old BBQ you would get anywhere else. I had the pulled pork sandwich and was blown away. I couldn’t decide which sauce I liked best so I combined them for a great taste. Enjoyed the sandwich so much I was back there the next Monday. The second time around… just as good as the last. Do wish they had other sides to offer but that definitely won’t keep me away!

We tried Keaster’s for the first time tonight; had the pulled pork and my husband had the ribs. Both were delicious. The pulled pork was moist, tender and wonderfully seasoned — the menu boasts that you don’t need to use a sauce; which is true! The sauce was excellent, but it was a rare treat to find pulled pork flavorful and moist enough to be eaten without it, so I didn’t use the sauce. The ribs were moist, tender, meaty and well– seasoned — minimal sauce was needed. The baked beans were excellent and the other sides were also very good. Both the manager and owner stopped by and chatted to ensure we were satisfied — very friendly! They’ve only been open for 6 weeks and they were very busy, and we could see why — we’ll be back!
