Everyone likes a different kind of pizza. Being from NJ, I am always looking for good NY style pizza. So far this is the closest that I have found in MN.
It is a soft thinnish crust (not crispy THIN crust) and has a sweetish red sauce. Just the right amount of cheese. For me, pretty good comfort pizza. Though, they cut it into strange little squares.
Chicken is ok but we hit M&H for that, usually.

I’ve never had the pizza so I can’t comment on it, but I have had both the chicken and the ribs. Mediocre at best. The JoJo’s are so soggy with grease as to be almost uneatable.
They do deliver fast and free. I’ll have to try the pizza and see if I’ve just been ordering the wrong thing.

The pizza is not very good either.

OK. I wasn’t surprised. This was ordinary pizza that one would expect in a smallish city. It was prepared quickly and a good price (Mon-​Thurs $ 10 for a large 1 topping pizza). I got the sausage pizza. It’s thin crust and cut into little squares. The crust was crispy but the sauce was blander than I like. The pizza had a good amount of cheese on it, but the sausage was the best part: It was good, flavorful, with a taste of fennel.
It’s OK pizza, but I’m a little spoiled with so many great pizza places in the Twin Cities metro area.

We have lived in Hastings since 2008 and we tried every pizza shop in town. Now we only order Spiral, just about every Thursday night in fact. Our boys love it and they always take the time to cook it exactly like we like it (pepperoni on top & well done is how we roll). The guys at Spiral are pizza artists and we’re happy they are in Hastings!

for sure some of the best pizza in town… which isnt saying much. it really is great pizza though. you should try one of the subs, with the italian sub sauce… so darn good.

The pizzas have been pretty good and I’m definitely a repeat customer but nobody appears to be happy working there. Even the person that answers the phone to take an order sounds like they’re working in a funeral home.
