Carbone’s Pizzeria

Carbone’s pizzeria is a place everyone should try because it’s that good.
Located on the north side of Rt 55 in Hastings and is a small pizza place but has the best pizza I’ve had while traveling for business.
Coming from Chicago we pride ourselves for making excellent pizza.
I have to say I am always judgmental when it comes to pizza because the pizza in Chicago is so good. From the moment I walked in I was greeted with a smile and seated right away. I explained that I had never eaten there before but was recommended by someone who had eaten there. So after being explained about how they make their pizza from the ingredients they use to the thickness of the crust I ordered the super pie which was made special for me. This pie normally is made with a thicker crust and is the only one on the menu that requires a thicker crust due to having a ton on it, so the thickness is to help support it so you can still pick it up and it doesn’t fall apart. My request was to have the crust be the normal thin crust which they accommodated me and I requested the cheese be browned. (This is so everything stays on the crust as well and the cheese is not so stringy).
This pizza was amazing and if Carbone’s came to Chicago they’d do very well! It was layered perfectly, cooked perfectly and tasted just like I had hoped. It’s nice to be out of town and get good pizza. They deliver as well but even if they were not 3mins from where I’m staying I’d drive 15−20mins just to eat there or to pick the pie up. The sauce was not too much and not enough but rather evenly mixed. Whoever they have making their pies knows what they are doing and should know that their skills are appreciated!!!
Before I left I was thanked for coming and given a menu and a coupon that they punch and explained that for every 10.00 I spend I get a punch and after 10 punches I get a discount of 10.00 off which based on the prices that’s either a free pizza (depending on the size) or 50−75%off that order which is a great deal if you are like me and out of town a lot and don’t have time to cook. I am so glad I took the advice from my roommate to try Carbone’s and you should too. They aim to please and that’s just what they did in my case.
My only suggestion is start making a XL 16″ or 18″ pizza because I like left overs and 14″ doesn’t allow you to do that as often when you are with 2 big guys. Ordering 2 14″ pizzas would have been too much so this is why I recommend this but maybe that’s your reasoning to get people to keep coming back for more so in that case keep up the good work because you have something great here. I will be ordering from you very soon and your menu is now on our info board at my apartment. The question is can you deliver to inter grove at the refinery because if you do I’ll be ordering food for crews there if not then I might have to drive and pick them up because everyone should try your pizza. (We’llsee lol)

Always great service from a friendly staff! The restaurant and bar are quite small but allows for a nice, quiet dinner or drink without the «bar» feel. The pizza, spaghetti and cheese bread are very good!

Love the new bar! The place looks great and the food is fantastic! Hats off to the cooks!

Best pizza in Minnesota so far. been to most of the Carbone’s and this one is best by far. we drive a hour to have there pizza.

Pizza was awesome. We had an all meat pizza, special pizza and buffalo chicken pizza. Service was great. Inside looks updated. It was clean. Will definitely return.

Tried some pizzas and a hoagie. The extra sausage pizza maybe had what a normal sausage pizza would have. The buffalo chicken pizza barely had any chicken. In fact there were more pieces without chicken than with. They used normal pizza sauce, and only used a sprinkling of buffalo sauce on top. The taco pizza was layered in crushed chips, and I couldn’t find any actual taco meat. The ham on the hoagie was like rubber. We definitely won’t be back. We live in Hastings, but will continue to go to the carbone’s in St. Paul Park.

This place and one other, best pizza in town. We’ve been ordering from them for years and never a bad experience. Ingredients have always seemed fresh, not too saucy or cheesy. One Valentines’s day, ordered a pizza & it came shaped like a heart… Awww! Staff always very friendly and delivery speed is decent. They’re expensive if feeding more than 2 – 3 avg sized people (my family consists of giants & my reg sized self).
Other items we’ve tried: Spaghetti with bread and salad-​both times… blah. Wings-​the giants enjoyed them… a lot. Cheese bread-​soooo good.

Well we heard that They had new management, so my wife wanted to try them again. To be honest, I am not a fan of pizza but wife loves them. We ordered a 14 inch meat eaters. It came in good time, the delivery driver was real nice. Opened the box and noticed hardly any cheese at all.
I grabbed some of the sausage that was sticking up and tried it and it was good. But then when we began to eat it was so salty. As I said my wife likes pizza and she said this was the last time she will order from them again. If it wasn’t for the fast time and good driver the rating would be a 1 star.
